Abstract
The reactivity of thiomorpholinium P-(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-thiomorpholin-amidodithiophosphonate (S-MorH+₂)(S-Mor-adtp-) and morpholinium P-(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-morpholin-amidodithiophosphonate (O-MorH+₂)(O-Mor-adtp-) towards nickel (II) dichloride hexahydrated is presented and the hydrolysis of the relevant metal complexes investigated. The hydrolytic products (S-MorH+₂)₂ [Ni(dtp)₂]²- and (O-MorH+₂)₂[Ni(dtp)₂]²- were characterized by means of FT-IR, 1H, and 31P NMR and XRD and the experimented P-N cleavage investigated and elucidated by means of DFT calculations. The antimicrobial activity of the neutral nickel complex [Ni(S-Mor-adtp)₂] was tested against a set of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria alongside with its nanodispersion in a silica matrix. The complex [Ni(S-Mor-adtp)₂] did not show antibacterial activity, whilst the nano-dispersed sample [Ni(S-Mor-adtp)₂]_SiO₂ demonstrated inhibition to growth of Staphylococcus aureus. The nanocomposites were fully characterized by means of XRPD, TGA, SEM and dinitrogen sorption techniques.

Abstract
The reactions of 2,4-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3-dithio-2,4-diphosphetane-2,4-disulfide (Lawesson's Reagent, LR) with benzylamine (BzNH2) and 4-phenylbutylamine (PhBuNH2) yield benzylammonium P-(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-benzyl-amidodithiophosphonate (BzNH3)(BzNH-adtp) and 4-phenylbutylammonium P-(4-methoxyphenyl)-N-(4-phenylbutyl)-amidodithiophosphonate (PhBuNH3)(PhBuNH-adtp). The relevant nickel complexes [Ni(BzNH-adtp)2] and [Ni(PhBuNH-adtp)2] and the corresponding hydrolysed derivatives (BzNH3)2[Ni(dtp)2] and (PhBuNH3)2[Ni(dtp)2] were prepared and fully characterized. The antimicrobial activity of the aforementioned amidodithiophosphonates against a set of Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogen bacteria was evaluated, and [Ni(BzNH-adtp)2] and [Ni(PhBuNH-adtp)2] showed antiproliferative activity towards Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus haemolyticus strains. density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to shed some light on the activity of reported compounds related to their tendency towards P-N bond cleavage.

Abstract
The compound 2 has been synthesized from the reaction of 2,4-Bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfide and (R)-1-[3,5-Bis(trifloromethyl)phenyl]ethanol in toluene. The obtained crude dithiophosphonic acid 1 has been treated with the excess of N(C2H5)3 to give rise to 2, [(+HN(C2H5)3][O-CH3CH-C6H3(CF3)2)(CH3OC6H4)PS2(-)]. The compound 2 has been characterized by using the spectroscopic methods such as IR, (1)H, (13)C, (31)P NMR and structural analysing method such as X-ray crystallography. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, whose space group is P212121. It consists of a dithiophosphonate bridged methoxyphenyl and bis(triflorophenylethyl) groups and a triethylammonium moiety linked by N-H⋯S and C-H⋯F hydrogen bonds. In the crystal structure, the C17H14F6O2PS2 molecule is elongated along the b-axis and stacked along the a-axis. The triethylammonium, N(CH2CH3)3, molecule fill in the cavities between the C17H14F6O2PS2 molecule. Moreover, ab initio methods based on Hartree-Fock (HF) and Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations with the basis set of 6-31G(d) are also carried out to determine the molecular structural properties and to calculate FT-IR and NMR spectrum of the compound 2. The experimental results and theoretical calculations have been compared, and they are found to be in good agreement.

Abstract
Nine structurally related paramagnetic acetylacetonato nickel(II) complexes: [Ni(acac)2] and trans-[Ni(acac)2(X)2]nH/D2O, X = H2O, D2O, NH3, MeOH, PMePh2, PMe2Ph, or [dppe]1/2, n = 0 or 1, dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, as well as cis-[Ni(F6-acac)2(D2O)2], F6-acac = hexafluoroacetylonato, have been characterized by solid state (13)C MAS NMR spectroscopy. (2)H MAS NMR was used to probe the local hydrogen bonding network in [Ni(acac)2(D2O)2]D2O and cis-[Ni(F6-acac)2(D2O)2]. The complexes serve to benchmark the paramagnetic shift, which can be associated with the resonances of atoms of the coordinated ligands. The methine (CH) and methyl (CH3) have characteristic combinations of the isotropic shift (δ) and anisotropy parameters (d, η). The size of the anisotropy (d), which is the sum of the chemical shift anisotropy (CSA) and the paramagnetic electron-nuclei dipolar coupling, is much more descriptive than the isotropic shift. Moreover, the CSA is found to constitute up to one-third of the total anisotropy and should be taken into consideration when (13)C anisotropies are used for structure determination of paramagnetic materials. The (13)C MAS NMR spectra of trans-[Ni(acac)2(PMe2Ph)2], trans-[Ni(acac)2(PMePh2)2], and the noncrystallographically characterized trans-[Ni(acac)2(dppe)]n were assigned using these correlations. The complexes with L = H2O, D2O, NH3, and MeOH can be prepared by a series of solid state desorption and sorption reactions. Crystal structures for trans-[Ni(acac)2(NH3)2] and trans-[Ni(acac)2(PMePh2)2] are reported.

Abstract
The crystal structure of the title compound, C6H16N+·C19H18O2PS2−, consists of the dithiophosphonate anions and the triethylammonium cations, which are linked by N—H⋯S hydrogen bonds and weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds. In the anion, the benzene ring is oriented with respect to the naphthalene ring system at a dihedral angle of 24.92 (5)°. In the crystal, weak C—H⋯π interactions also occur.
