Abstract
The title compound, [Fe3(C11H11N2O5)2Cl3(C2H6OS)3]2·7C2H6OS·2H2O, was isolated accidentally from an Fe0-NiCl2·6H2O-H3L-TEA-DMSO system [where H3L is the product of the condensation between p-nitro-salicyl-aldehyde and 2-amino-2-methyl-propane-1,3-diol and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), and TEA is triethylamine]. The structure is based on a trinuclear {Fe3(μ-O)4} core, with an angular arrangement of the FeIII ions that can be explained by the geometrical restrictions of two bulky ligands, each coordinating to all of the metal cations.

Abstract
The title compound, [Co(C8H8BrN4O)2]NO3·C3H7NO, is formed of discrete [CoL 2](+) cations, nitrate anions and di-methyl-formamide (DMF) mol-ecules of crystallization. The cation has no crystallographically imposed symmetry. The ligand mol-ecules are deprotonated at the phenol O atom and octa-hedrally coordinate the Co(III) atoms through the azomethine N and phenolate O atoms in a mer configuration. The deprotonated ligand mol-ecules adopt an almost planar conformation. In the crystal lattice, the cations are arranged in layers in the ab plane divided by the nitrate anions and solvent mol-ecules. No π-π stacking is observed. All of the amine H atoms are involved in hydrogen bonding to nitrate, DMF or ligand O atoms or to one of the Br atoms, forming two-dimensional networks parallel to (100).

Abstract
The tetra-nuclear complex cation of the title compound, [Cr2Pb2(NCS)2(OH)2(C4H10NO)4](SCN)2·CH3CN, lies on an inversion centre. The main structural feature of the cation is a distorted seco-norcubane Pb2Cr2O6 cage with a central four-membered Cr2O2 ring. The Cr(III) ion is coordinated in a distorted octa-hedron, which involves two N atoms of one bidentate ligand and one thio-cyanate anion, two μ2-O atoms of 2-(di-methyl-amino)-ethano-late ligands and two μ3-O atoms of hydroxide ions. The coordination geometry of the Pb(II) ion is a distorted disphenoid, which involves one N atom, two μ2-O atoms and one μ3-O atom. In addition, weak Pb⋯S inter-actions involving the coordinating and non-coordinating thio-cyanate anions are observed. In the crystal, the complex cations are linked through the thio-cyanate anions via the Pb⋯S inter-actions and O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds into chains along the c axis. The chains are further linked together via S⋯S contacts. The contribution of the disordered solvent aceto-nitrile mol-ecule was removed with the SQUEEZE [Spek (2015 ▸). Acta Cryst. C71, 9-18] procedure in PLATON. The solvent is included in the reported mol-ecular formula, weight and density.

Abstract
The title compound, [Mn(C12H15NO5)2]·0.39H2O, is a 0.39 hydrate of the isostructural complex bis-(2-{[1,1-bis-(hy-droxy-meth-yl)-2-oxidoeth-yl]imino-meth-yl}-6-meth-oxy-phenolato)manganese(IV) that has previously been reported by Back, Oliveira, Canabarro & Iglesias [Z. Anorg. Allg. Chem. (2015), 641, 941-947], based on room-temperature data. The current structure that was determined at 100 K reveals a lengthening of the c cell parameter compared with the published one due to the incorporation of the partial occupancy water mol-ecule. The title compound crystallizes in the tetra-gonal chiral space group P41212; the neutral [Mn(IV)(C12H15NO5)2] mol-ecule is situated on a crystallographic C 2 axis. The overall geometry about the central manganese ion is octa-hedral with an N2O4 core; each ligand acts as a meridional ONO donor. The coordination environment of Mn(IV) at 100 K displays a difference in one of the two Mn-O bond lengths, compared with the room-temperature structure. In the crystal, the neutral mol-ecules are stacked in a helical fashion along the c-axis direction.

Abstract
The title compound, [CrCu(C5H11NO2)(C5H12NO2)(NCS)2(H2O)] or [Cr(μ-mdea)Cu(μ-Hmdea)(NCS)2H2O], (where mdeaH2 is N-methylethanolamine, C5H13NO2) is formed as a neutral heterometal Cu(II)/Cr(III) complex. The mol-ecular structure of the complex is based on a binuclear {CuCr(μ-O)2} core. The coordination environment of each metal atom involves the N,O,O atoms of the tridentate ligand, one bridging O atom of the ligand and the N atom of the thio-cyanato ligands. The Cu(II) ion adopts a distorted square-pyramidal coordination while the Cr(III) ion has a distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry completed by the aqua ligand. In the crystal, the binuclear complexes are linked via two pairs of O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds to form inversion dimers, which are arranged in columns parallel to the a axis. In the μ-mdea ligand two -CH2 groups and the methyl group were refined as disordered over two sets of sites with equal occupancies. The structure was refined as a two-component twin with a twin scale factor of 0.242 (1).

Abstract
In the mononuclear copper(II) title complex, [Cu(C11H16N3O)(H2O)]Br, the CuII atom is coordinated by one O and three N atoms of the Schiff base ligand that forms together with one water molecule a slightly distorted [CuN3O2] square-pyramidal polyhedron. The deviation of the CuII atom from the mean equatorial plane is 0.182 (2) Å. The equatorial plane is nearly coplanar to the aromatic ring of the ligand [angle between planes = 10.4 (1)°], and the water molecule is situated in the apical site. All coordinating atoms (except the imine nitrogen) and the bromide ion contribute to the formation of the N—H⋯Br, O—H⋯Br and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link molecules into chains along [01-1].

Abstract
The asymmetric unit of the title complex [Cu(C14H12N2)2]2[Fe(CN)5(NO)], consists of a [Cu(dmp)2]+ cation (dmp is 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) and half an [Fe(CN)5(NO)]2− anion. The anion is disordered across an inversion center with the FeII ion slightly offset (ca 0.205Å) from the inversion center in the direction of the disordered trans-coordinating CN/NO ligands. The anion has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. The CuI ion is coordinated by two phenanthroline ligands in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The dihedral angle between the phenanthroline ligands is 77.16 (4) Å. In the crystal, the cations are connected to the anions by weak C—H⋯N hydrogen bonds. In addition, weak π–π stacking interactions are observed, with centroid–centroid distances in the range 3.512 (3)–3.859 (3) Å.

A series of ammonium and tetraalkylammonium metal isothiocyanate salts of the type Q(y)[M(NCS)x] (M = Cr(III), x = 6, y = 3, Q = NH4(+), Me4N(+), Et4N(+), n-Bu4N(+); M = Mn(II), x = 6, y = 4, Q = Me4N(+); M = Mn(II), x = 5, y = 3, Q = Et4N(+); M = Fe(III), x = 6, y = 3, Q = Me4N(+), Et4N(+), n-Bu4N(+); M = Co(II), x = 4, y = 2, Q = n-Bu4N(+); M = Eu(III), Gd(III), Dy(III), x = 6, y = 3, Q = Bu4N(+)) has been synthesized and structurally characterized. The octahedral Cr(III) salts are isostructural to previously and newly reported Fe(III) salts. The Ln(III)-containing anions are also octahedral. For Mn(II), although the Me4N(+) salt is octahedral, the Et4N(+) salt [Mn(NCS)5](3-) possesses a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. For (Et4N)3[Fe(NCS)6] and (n-Bu4N)3[Fe(NCS)6], a solid-state size-dependent change in colour from red to green was observed and was attributed to a light scattering phenomenon in the crystalline samples.

Abstract
The title complex [Cu(C10H8N2)3][Fe(CN)5(NO)]·2CH3OH·H2O, consists of discrete [Cu(bpy)3](2+) cations (bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine), [Fe(CN)5NO](2-) anions and solvent mol-ecules of crystallization (two methanol mol-ecules and one water mol-ecules per asymmetric unit). The Cu(II) ion adopts a distorted octa-hedral environment, coordinated by six N atoms from three bpy ligands. The cation charge is balanced by a nitro-prusside counter-anion, which has a slightly distorted octa-hedral coordination geometry. In the crystal, anions and solvent mol-ecules are involved in O-H⋯N and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which form chains along [100]. The cations are located between these chains.
