Abstract
We present a reaction system based on simple nickel(II) salen-type complexes as efficient precatalysts for selective hydrosilylation of olefins with selectivity dependent on the type of substrate used. The system is activated by lithium triethylborohydride and it operates under mild conditions, i.e., at room temperature, and full conversion of the substrates is achieved within just one hour. To demonstrate the substrate scope, 19 exemplary compounds were synthesised and isolated. Aromatic alkenes were transformed into α-adducts while aliphatic olefins yielded nearly exclusively β-addition products. Our findings highlight the potential for sustainable catalysis with simple, cost-effective ligand systems.

Abstract
The first coordination compound of copper and tiglic acid named tetrakis(μ-tiglato)bis(tiglic acid)dicopper(II) was synthesized and crystallized from water solution. Its structure was determined and analyzed based on X-ray diffraction measurement. The paddle-wheel coordination system of the investigated compound was compared with other similar copper structures known in the literature. The Hirshfeld analysis was used for the detailed analysis of intermolecular interaction. The new compound was also characterized in terms of infrared absorption, thermal, and magnetic properties. The antiferromagnetic coupling of copper ions was found.

Abstract
AbstractDirect metal-free C–H functionalization of arenes with nucleophiles is a new chapter in the chemistry of aromatics. Comprehensive studies on nucleophilic substitution of hydrogen in arenes (the SNH reactions), including mechanisms, intermediates, mathematic and electrochemical modeling, kinetics, electron-transfer, etc. have shown that this is not the hydride ion, but C–H proton is departed, and this process is facilitated by the presence of an appropriate oxidant or an auxiliary group. The SNH reactions, as a part of the general C–H functionalization concept, change the logic of organic synthesis. They open new opportunities, avoiding incorporation of good leaving groups or other auxiliaries in an aromatic ring, as a prefunctionalization step, thus providing a better correspondence to the principles of green chemistry.
