Abstract
Water splitting, producing of oxygen, and hydrogen molecules, is an essential reaction for clean energy resources and is one of the challenging reactions for artificial photosynthesis. The Mn4Ca cluster in photosystem II (PS-II) is responsible for water oxidation in natural photosynthesis. Due to this, water oxidation reaction by Mn coordination compounds is vital for mimicking the active core of the oxygen-evolving complex in PS-II. Here, a new dinuclear Mn(II)-semicarbohydrazone coordination compound, [Mn(HL)(µ-N3)Cl]2 (1), was synthesized and characterized by various methods. The structure of compound 1 was determined by single crystal X-ray analysis, which revealed the Mn(II) ions have distorted octahedral geometry as (MnN4OCl). This geometry is created by coordinating of oxygen and two nitrogen donor atoms from semicarbohydrazone ligand, two nitrogen atoms from azide bridges, and chloride anion. Compound 1 was used as a catalyst for electrochemical water oxidation, and the surface of the electrode after the reaction was investigated by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometry, and powder X-ray diffraction analyses. Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) experiments revealed that the electrode containing 1 shows high activity for chemical water oxidation with an electrochemical overpotential as low as 377 mV. Although our findings showed that the carbon paste electrode in the presence of 1 is an efficient electrode for water oxidation, it could not withstand water oxidation catalysis under bulk electrolysis and finally converted to Mn oxide nanoparticles which were active for water oxidation along with compound 1.

Abstract
A new pyrazole ligand, N,N-bis(2(1′,5,5′-trimethyl-1H,1′H-[3,3′-bipyrazol]-1-yl)ethyl)propan-1-amine (L) was synthesized and characterized by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, FT-IR and HRMS. The coordination ability of the ligand has been employed for the construction of a new family of coordination complexes, namely: [Cu2LCl4] (1), [ML(CH3OH)(H2O)](ClO4)2 (MII = Ni (2), Co (3)) and [FeL(NCS)2] (4). The series of complexes were characterized using single-crystal X-ray diffraction, HRMS, FT-IR and UV-visible spectroscopy. Moreover, the iron(ii) analogue was investigated by 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy and SQUID magnetometry. Single-crystal X-ray structures of the prepared complexes are debated within the framework of the cooperative effect of the hydrogen bonding network and counter anions on the supramolecular formations observed. Furthermore, within the context of biological activity surveys, these compounds were reviewed against different types of bacteria to validate their efficiency, including both Gram-positive as well as Gram-negative bacteria. Enhanced behaviour towards Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. albedinis fungi, were detected for 1 and 4. A new pyrazole ligand L and four coordination complexes were synthesized and characterized by different spectroscopic methods. These were found to be promising antibacterial and antifungal agents.![]()

Abstract
A diverse series of imine linked 1,2,3-triazole hybrids has been synthesized via Cu(I)-promoted click reaction, with an aim to develop some new antimicrobial molecules. The structural characterization of the synthesized triazole hybrids was accomplished using various spectral techniques like 1H NMR, 13C NMR, FTIR and HRMS. Among the synthesized hybrids, 7d exhibited highest antimicrobial efficacy against R. oryzae and S. aureus with MIC of 0.0123 µmol/mL and 0.0061 µmol/mL, respectively. Docking studies of the terminal alkynes (4a, 4b) and triazole hybrids (6a, 6d, 7c, 7g) showing high potency towards E. coli DNA gyrase and C. albicans sterol 14-α demethylase were also undertaken to understand the binding behaviour.

Abstract
A new mononuclear tungsten coordination compound, [WO2L(CH3OH)] (1), was synthesized by the reaction of WCl6 and H2L (H2L = (E)-4-amino-N'-(5-bromo-2-hydroxybenzylidene)benzohydrazide) in methanol. Both the H2L and compound 1 were characterized by elemental analysis and UV-Vis, FT-IR and NMR spectroscopic methods. The molecular structure of compound 1 was also determined by single crystal X-ray analysis which confirmed the compound is a mononuclear coordination compound of cis-dioxidotungsten(vi) containing a free amine functionality on the ligand. Compound 1 was supported on propionyl chloride-functionalized silica gel by amidification reaction to obtain a heterogeneous catalyst. The obtained heterogeneous catalyst was characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and its catalytic activity was investigated in the epoxidation of olefins with hydrogen peroxide under solvent free conditions. The catalyst was successfully recovered several times and the recovered catalyst was also characterized by various methods including FT-IR, DRS, TGA, SEM and EDX analyses. The results indicated this heterogeneous catalytic system is an effective and selective catalyst for epoxidation of olefins and can be reused several times without significant change in its catalytic activity.

Abstract
A new mononuclear Ni(ii) complex, NiL (1), was synthesized from the reaction of Ni(OAc)2·4H2O and salophen-type N2O2-donor ligand, H2L (where H2L = 2,2'-((1E,1'E)-((4-chloro-5-methyl-1,2-phenylene)bis(azanylylidene))bis(methanylylidene))diphenol), in ethanol. The obtained complex was characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic techniques and single crystal X-ray analysis. The complex was studied as a water oxidizing catalyst and its electrocatalytic activity in the water oxidation reaction was tested in 0.5 M of borate buffer at pH = 3, 7 and 11 in a typical three-electrode setup with a carbon paste electrode modified by complex 1 as a working electrode. The linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) curves indicated that complex 1 has a much superior activity and only needs 21 mV vs. Ag/AgCl overvoltage to reach a geometrical catalytic current density of 2.0 mA cm-2 at pH = 11. The onset potential decreased from 1.15 V to 0.67 V vs. Ag/AgCl with an increase of pH from 3 to 13 under a constant current density of 1.0 mA cm-2. Then, to determine the true catalyst for the water oxidation reaction in the presence of complex 1 at pH = 3, 7 and 11, cyclic voltammetry was also performed. The continuous CVs for complex 1 at neutral and alkaline solutions showed significant progress for the water oxidation reaction. In addition, the amperometry tests exhibited excellent stability and high constant current density for water oxidation by CPE-complex 1 under electrochemical conditions at pH = 11 and 7. Although X-ray powder diffraction analysis did not show a pure and crystalline structure for NiO x , the scanning electron microscopy images showed that nickel oxide at pH = 11 and nickel oxide or other Ni-based compounds at pH = 7 are true water oxidizing catalysts on the surface of a CPE electrode. Moreover at pH = 3, no clear water oxidation or NiO x formation was observed.
