Abstract
BACKGROUND Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a common therapy for many hematologic malignancies. While advances in transplant practice have improved cancer-specific outcomes, multiple and debilitating long term physical and psychologic effects remain. Patients undergoing allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (allo-BMT) are often critically ill at initial diagnosis and with necessary sequential treatments become increasingly frail and deconditioned. Despite modern treatment regimens and support, cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of non-relapse mortality among allo-BMT survivors. Well-established multi-disciplinary care models such as cardiac rehabilitation offer holistic care including exercise training, nursing support, physical/occupational therapy, psychosocial support and nutritional education. HSCT patients may be excluded from conventional outpatient physical rehabilitation programs due to prolonged pancytopenia and frequent hospital admissions. In Canada, dedicated cancer-specific rehabilitation programs are available only at major tertiary academic centers. METHODS The primary aim of this study will evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a multimodal care navigation (nursing, exercise, nutrition) intervention with content delivery facilitated by a supportive care web-based 'app' extending from diagnosis to 1 year in the allogeneic bone marrow transplant population. Adult patients scheduled for allo-BMT will receive support from exercise specialist, nursing support and dietician expertise alongside a supportive care 'app' with additional in-person or virtual cardiac rehabilitation support. DISCUSSION To our knowledge, no research team is taking such a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to address the debilitating physiologic and psychological consequences of allo-BMT. We expect the findings to inform the optimal timing and patient preferences to develop studies examining risk-specific, individualized interventions (including exercise, pharmacotherapy, combination treatments) to reduce or prevent symptoms and dysfunction. We expect this innovative program to identify ways to benefit innumerable patients with hematologic and other malignancies. Ultimately, we hope to transform supportive care in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. TRIAL REGISTRATION Clinicaltrials.gov ID: NCT05579678.

Abstract
We aim to investigate cardiovascular mortality risk among diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients and explore cardiovascular mortality trends in the past decades in United States. We extracted data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database for adult patients diagnosed with DLBCL between 1975 and 2019. Standardized mortality ratio, joinpoint regression analysis, and competing risk model were analyzed. Overall, 49,918 patients were enrolled, of whom 4167 (8.3%) cardiovascular deaths were observed, which was 1.22 times the number expected (95%CI, 1.19-1.26). During 1985-2019, the incidence-based cardiovascular mortality rate increased by 0.98% per year (95%CI, 0.58-1.39%), with statistically significant increases in age groups younger than 75 years. The cumulative mortality from cardiovascular disease increased by age but never exceeded that from DLBCL. Older age, male sex, earlier year of diagnosis, lower tumor stage at diagnosis, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery were all poor prognostic factors for cardiovascular mortality.

Abstract
Applied cardio-oncology in hematological malignancies refers to the integration of cardiovascular care and management for patients with blood cancer, particularly leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. Hematological cancer therapy-related cardiotoxicity deals with the most common cardiovascular complications of conventional chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell and tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte therapies, bispecific antibodies, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This narrative review focuses on hematological cancer-therapy-related cardiotoxicity's definition, risk stratification, multimodality imaging, and use of cardiac biomarkers to detect clinical and/or subclinical myocardial dysfunction and electrical instability. Moreover, the most common cardiotoxic profiles of the main drugs and/or therapeutic interventions in patients with hematological malignancies are described thoroughly.

Abstract
Introduction: Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) recipients are at increased risk of cardiovascular diseases. In our study, we aimed to find subclinical changes in myocardial tissue after HSCT with the help of cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) tissue imaging techniques. Methods: The data of 44 patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic HSCT in the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kaunas Clinics from October 2021 to February 2023 were analyzed. Bioethics approval for the prospective study was obtained (No BE-2-96). CMR was performed two times: before enrolling for the HSCT procedure (before starting mobilization chemotherapy for autologous HSCT and before starting the conditioning regimen for allogeneic HSCT) and 12 ± 1 months after HSCT. LV end-diastolic volume, LV end-systolic volume, LV mass and values indexed to body surface area (BSA), and LV ejection fraction were calculated. T1 and T2 mapping values were measured. Results: There was a statistically significant change in T1 mapping values. Before HSCT, mean T1 mapping was 1226.13 ± 39.74 ms, and after HSCT, it was 1248.70 ± 41.07 ms (p = 0.01). The other parameters did not differ significantly. Conclusions: Increases in T1 mapping values following HSCT can show the progress of diffuse myocardial fibrosis and may reflect subclinical injury. T2 mapping values remain the same and do not show edema and active inflammation processes at 12 months after HSCT.
