Abstract
Chest X-ray has verified its role as a crucial tool in COVID-19 assessment due to its practicability, especially in emergency units, and Brixia score has proven as a useful tool for COVID-19 pneumonia grading. The aim of our study was to investigate correlations between main laboratory parameters, vaccination status, and Brixia score, as well as to confirm if Brixia score is a significant independent predictor of unfavorable outcome (death) in COVID-19 patients. The study was designed as a cross-sectional multicentric study. It included patients with a diagnosed COVID-19 infection who were hospitalized. This study included a total of 279 patients with a median age of 62 years. The only significant predictor of unfavorable outcome (death) was Brixia score (adjusted odds ratio 1.148, p = 0.022). In addition, the results of the multiple linear regression analysis (R2 = 0.334, F = 19.424, p < 0.001) have shown that male gender (B = 0.903, p = 0.046), severe COVID-19 (B = 1.970, p < 0.001), and lactate dehydrogenase (B = 0.002, p < 0.001) were significant positive predictors, while albumin level (B = -0.211, p < 0.001) was a significant negative predictor of Brixia score. Our results provide important information about factors influencing Brixia score and its usefulness in predicting the unfavorable outcome (death) of COVID-19 patients. These findings have clinical relevance, especially in epidemic circumstances.

Abstract
Unselective use of antibiotics to treat children with COVID-19 is one of the major issues during the pandemic in Serbia. Thus far, there has been no evidence about the predictors of multiple antibiotic use in the treatment of children with COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to assess the prevalence of antibiotic use, as well as to examine demographic and clinical factors associated with a greater number of antibiotics and with a longer antibiotic treatment administered to hospitalized children with COVID-19 during the lockdown in Serbia. This study included all children who were hospitalized from 6 March to 31 May 2020 at the only pediatric COVID-19 hospital, and who were confirmed to have SARS-CoV-2 infection. Demographic, clinical, and laboratory data were collected from medical records. The antibiotic treatment included the use of azithromycin, cephalosporin (ceftriaxone), ampicillin-amikacin, and hydroxychloroquine. The overall prevalence of antibiotics use in children hospitalized with COVID-19 regardless of age was 47.2% (43.3% in children aged 1-5 years and 44.4% in those aged 5-17 years). In children aged 1-5 years, not having a family member affected by COVID-19 (B = -1.38, 95% confidence interval [CI] -2.43, -0.34, p = 0.011), having pneumonia on chest X-ray (B = 0.81, 95%CI 0.34, 1.29, p = 0.002), being a boy (B = -0.65, 95%CI -1.17, -0.13, p = 0.018), and having higher C-reactive protein (CRP) values on admission (B = 0.12, 95%CI 0.07, 0.17, p = 0.001) were associated with the administration of a higher number of antibiotics. These factors, along with having fever (B = 3.20, 95%CI 1.03, 5.37, p = 0.006), were associated with a longer duration of antibiotic treatment in children aged 1-5 years. In children aged 5-17 years, having pharyngeal erythema (B = 1.37, 95%CI 0.61, 2.13, p = 0.001), fever (B = 0.43, 95%CI 0.07, 0.79, p = 0.018), and pneumonia on chest X-ray (B = 0.91, 95%CI 0.53, 1.29, p = 0.001), not having rhinorrhea (B = -1.27, 95%CI -2.47, -0.08, p = 0.037), being a girl (B = 0.52, 95%CI 0.08, 0.97, p = 0.021), and having higher CRP values on admission (B = 0.04, 95%CI 0.01, 0.06, p = 0.006) were associated with the administration of a higher number of antibiotics. These factors, not including the absence of rhinorrhea, were associated with a longer duration of antibiotics treatment in children aged 5-17 years. Demographic, epidemiological, clinical, and laboratory parameters were associated with the use of multiple antibiotics and a longer duration of antibiotic treatment both among children aged 1-5 years and those aged 5-17 years.

Abstract
Introduction: Chest X-ray (CXR) is one of the routinely used radiological examinations in COVID-19. However, the lesion detectability level of CXR is low. To date, to the best of our knowledge, the visualization quality of X-ray in COVID-19 has not been specifically evaluated in different lesions. Our study aims to determine the visualization quality of CXR in COVID-19 patients according to elementary lesions.
Material and Method: 52 COVID-positive patients (26 Males and 26 Females); 69,6346±15,14250 (32-89) years [mean±SD age (range)] were included in the study. 98 different elementary lesions of lung detected on CT were evaluated in six different groups (consolidation, indeterminate ground-glass opacity (IGGO), dense GGO (DGGO), reversed halo, parenchymal band and curvilinear band). Lesions were compared with CXR taken on the same day. The detectability rates of the lesions on CXR were evaluated.
Results: The mean sizes of CXR negative and CXR positive lesions for every group (consolidations, IGGO, DGGO, reversed halo sign, parenchymal band, curvilinear band) were respectively 1.36 cm -5.75 cm, 3.44 cm -5.50 cm, 2.25 cm -5.06 cm, 2.5cm -4.09 cm, N/A -3.14 cm and 1 cm -4.5 cm. According to Mann-Whitney U analysis, p values were found as (respectively in consolidations, IGGO, DGGO, reversed halo sign, and curvilinear band) 0.0001p, 0.145, 0.0001 p, 0.143 and 0.286. Given consolidation and DGGO groups, there was a statistically significant difference between non-visualized and visualized groups. According to ROC analysis, cut-off values were respectively 3 cm and 3.5 cm for consolidation and DGGO.
Conclusion: Our study showed that consolidations smaller than 3 cm and DGGO smaller than 3.5 cm are difficult to visualize with CXR. Although there is no definite cut-off value in other elementary lesions, the visualization ratio of parenchymal bands and curvilinear bants on chest X-rays is quite high. IGGOs may not be detected even at higher dimensions. Reversed halos less than 3 cm can rarely be detected on CXR.

Abstract
Background Through the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, portable radiography was particularly useful for assessing and monitoring the COVID-19 disease in Vietnamese field hospitals. It provides a convenient and precise picture of the progression of the disease. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the predictive value of chest radiograph reporting systems (Brixia and total severity score (TSS)) and the National Early Warning Score (NEWS) clinical score in a group of hospitalized patients with COVID-19. Methods This retrospective cohort study used routinely collected clinical data from polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-positive severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) patients admitted to Field Hospital District 8, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from August 2021 to September 2021. The initial chest radiographs were scored based on the TSS and Brixia scoring systems to quantify the extent of lung involvement. After the chest radiograph score was reported, two residents calculated the rate of all-cause in-hospital mortality with the consultation of expert radiologists. In this study, NEWS2 scores on hospital admission were calculated. The gradient boosting machines (GBMs) and Shapley additive exPlanations (SHAP) were applied to access the important variable and improve the accuracy of mortality prediction. The adjusted odds ratio for predictor was presented by univariate analysis and multivariate analysis. Results The chest X-rays (CXRs) at the admission of 273 patients (mean age 59 years +/-16, 42.1% were male) were scored. In the univariate analysis, age, vaccination status, previous disease, NEWS2, a saturation of peripheral oxygen (Sp02), the Brixia and TSS scores were significant predictors of mortality (p-value < 0.05). In multivariate analysis, there were statistically significant differences in mortality between age, Sp02, Brixia score, and patients with previous diseases were independent predictors of mortality and hospitalization. A gradient boosting machine was performed in the train data set, which showed that the best hyperparameters for predicting the mortality of patients are the Brixia score (exclude TSS score). In the top five predictors, an increase in Brixia, age, and BMI increased the logarithmic number of probability clarifying as death status. Although the TSS and Brixia scores evaluated chest imaging, the TSS score was not essential as the Brixia score (rank 6/11). It was clear that the BMI and NEWS2 score was positively correlated with the Brixia score, and age did not affect this correlation. Meanwhile, we did not find any trend between the TSS score versus BMI and NEWS2. Conclusion When integrated with the BMI and NEWS2 clinical classification systems, the severity score of COVID-19 chest radiographs, particularly the Brixia score, was an excellent predictor of all-cause in-hospital mortality.
