Abstract
The development of flame-retardant materials has become an important research direction. For the past dozen years, researchers have been exploring flame retardants with high flame-retardant efficiency, low toxicity, less smoke, or other excellent performance flame retardants. Therefore, this work aimed to synthesize new cyclodiphosph(V)azane derivatives and their Cu(II) and Cd(II) metal complexes and investigated their potential applications as high flame-retardant efficiency. Various techniques were used to characterize the prepared ligand H2L and its metal complexes, including elemental analyses, mass spectra, conductivity measurements, electronic spectral data UV-vis, FT-IR, 1H,13C-NMR, TGA, XRD, and molecular docking experiments studies were M. tuberculosis receptors (PDB ID: 5UHF) and the crystal structure of human topoisomerase II alpha (PDB ID: 4FM9). Wood-based paint was physically mixed with the ligand H2L and its metal complexes. The obtained results of mechanical characteristics of the dried paint layers were noticed to improve, such as gloss value, which ranged from 85 to 95, hardness 1.5-2.5 kg, adhesion 4B to 5B, and impact resistance, which improved from 1.3 to 2.5 J. Moreover, the obtained results of flame-retardant properties showed a significant retardant impact compared to the blank sample, such as ignitability, which includes the heat flux which increased from 10 to 25 kW/m2, and ignition time, ranging from 550 to 1200 s, respectively, and limiting oxygen index (LOI) (%) which has been increased from 21 to 130 compared with the plywood sample and sample blank. The ordering activity of the observed results was noticed that coated sample based on Cd(II) metal complexes > coated sample based on Cu(II) metal complexes of Cyclophosphazene ligand > coated sample based on phosphazene ligand H2L > coated sample without additives > uncoated sample. This efficiency may be attributed to (1) the H2L is an organophosphorus compound, which contains P, N, Cl, and aromatic six- and five-member ring, (2) Cu(II) and Cd(II) metal complexes characterized by high thermal stability, good stability, excellent performance flame retardants, and wide application.

Abstract
Computational studies have been carried out at the DFT-B3LYP/6-31G(d) level of theory on the structural and spectroscopic properties of novel ethane-1,2-diol-dichlorocyclophosph(V)azane of sulfamonomethoxine (L), and its binuclear Er(III) complex. Different tautomers of the ligand were optimized at the ab initio DFT level. Keto-form structure is about 15.8 kcal/mol more stable than the enol form (taking zpe correction into account). Simulated IR frequencies were scaled and compared with that experimentally measured. TD-DFT method was used to compute the UV-VIS spectra which show good agreement with measured electronic spectra. The structures of the novel isolated products are proposed based on elemental analyses, IR, UV-VIS, (1)H NMR, (31)P NMR, SEM, XRD spectra, effective magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).

Abstract
Benzenesulfonicacid-1-methylhydrazide (1) and its four aromatic sulfonyl hydrazone derivatives (1a-1d), N-(3-amino-2-hydroxypropyl)benzene sulfonamide (2) and N-(2-hydroxyethyl)benzenesulfonamide (3) were synthesized and their structures were determined by IR, (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR, and LCMS techniques. Antibacterial activities of new synthesized compounds were evaluated against various bacteria strains by microdilution and disk diffusion methods. The experimental results show that presence of OH group on sulfonamides reduces the antimicrobial activity, and antimicrobial activities of the sulfonyl hydrazones (1a-1d) are smaller than that of the parent sulfonamide (1), except Candida albicans. In addition, 2D-QSAR analysis was performed on 28 aromatic sulfonyl hydrazones as antimicrobial agents against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. In the QSAR models, the most important descriptor is total point-charge component of the molecular dipole for E. coli, and partial negative surface area (PNSA-1) for S. aureus.

Abstract
Several mixed ligand Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes of 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine (AHP) and imidazoles viz., imidazole (him), benzimidazole (bim), histamine (hist) and L-histidine (his) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental and spectral (vibrational, electronic, 1H NMR and EPR) data as well as by magnetic moment values. On the basis of elemental analysis and molar conductance values, all the complexes can be formulated as [MAB]Cl except histidine complexes as MAB. Thermogravimetric studies reveal the presence of coordinated water molecules in most of the complexes. From the magnetic measurements and electronic spectral data, octahedral structure was proposed for Ni(II) and Cu(II)-AHP-his, tetrahedral for Cu(II)-AHP-him/bim/hist, but square planar for the Cu(II)-AHP complex. The g∥/A∥ calculated supports tetrahedral environment around the Cu(II) in Cu(II)-AHP-him/bim/hist and distorted octahedral for Cu(II)-AHP-his complexes. The morphology of the reported metal complexes was investigated by scanning electron micrographs (SEM). The potentiometric study has been performed in aqueous solution at 37 °C and I=0.15 mol dm(-3) NaClO4. MABH, MAB and MAB2 species has been identified in the present systems. Proton dissociation constants of AHP and stability constants of metal complexes were determined using MINIQUAD-75. The most probable structure of the mixed ligand species is discussed based upon their stability constants. The in vitro biological activity of the complexes was tested against the Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria, fungus and yeast. The oxidative DNA cleavage studies of the complexes were performed using gel electrophoresis method. Cu(II) complexes have been found to promote DNA cleavage in presence of biological reductant such as ascorbate and oxidant like hydrogen peroxide.

Abstract
Novel polymer complexes of copper(II), palladium(II), platinum(II) and cadmium(II) containing homopolymer [4-acrylamido benzene sulphonyl guanidine; (HL)] and various anions (SO₄²⁻, CH₃COO⁻, NO₃⁻, Br⁻ or Cl⁻) have been designed and carried out. Their structures were investigated by elemental analyses, spectral (IR, UV-vis, ¹H NMR and ESR) and magnetic moments. The modes of interactions between the ligand and the metals were discussed, where oxygen (of O=S=O group) and nitrogen atom [of imino nitrogen (NH/N) of the guanidine group] are involved in chelation. The homopolymer shows two types of coordination behaviour. In mononuclear polymer complexes 4 and 6-10, it acts as a neutral bidentate ligand chelated through the NH and O atoms, whereas in the polymer complexes 1-3, 5 and 11, monobasic bidentate ligand is coordinated through the -N and -O atoms. The poly-chelates are of 1:1/1:2 (metal-homopolymer) stoichiometry and exhibit four coordination. On the basis of electronic spectral data and magnetic susceptibility measurement square planar geometry has been proposed. The ESR spectral data provided information about their structure on the basis Hamiltonian parameters and degree of covalency. From the electron paramagnetic resonance and spectral data, the orbital reduction factors were calculated.

Abstract
Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-based rechargeable antibacterial and antifungal polymeric silver sulfadiazines were prepared by copolymerizing acryloyl sulfadiazine with methyl methacrylate and sequentially treating the copolymers with dilute silver nitrate aqueous solutions. The chemical structures of the samples were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, XPS, and TGA analyses. On contact, the PMMA-based polymeric silver sulfadiazines provided 100% inactivation of 108—109 CFU/mL of Escherichia coli (Gram-negative bacteria) and Staphylococcus aureus (Gram-positive bacteria) in 10 min, and Candida tropicalis (yeast) in 30 min. Kirby—Bauer test data indicated that the antibacterial and antifungal effects were achieved through contact kill; no silver ions leached out of the new copolymers. The antibacterial and antifungal functions were stable for at least 12 months under normal storage conditions. Silver nitrate treatments regenerated any lost of antibacterial and antifungal activity; this recharging can be repeated as needed to achieve long-term protection. These properties make the new PMMA-based polymeric silver sulfadiazines attractive candidates for a broad range of medical (orthopedic), dental, and other related applications to reduce the risks of bacterial and fungal contamination on high-touch/high-risk surfaces and foreign body-related infections.

[MX(2)(L1)(H(2)O)(m)].nH(2)O; [(MX(2))(2)(HL2 or HL3)(H(2)O)(m)].nH(2)O and [M(2)X(3)(L4)(H(2)O)].nH(2)O; M=Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) (X=Cl) and Zn(II) (X=AcO); m=0-4 and n=0-3, complexes were prepared. Elemental and thermal analyses (TGA and DTA), IR, solid reflectance spectra, magnetic moment and molar conductance measurements have accomplished characterization of the complexes. The IR data reveal that HL1 and HL2-3 ligands behave as a bidentate neutral ligands while HL4 ligand behaves as a bidentate monoionic ligand. They coordinated to the metal ions via the carbonyl O, enolic sulfonamide S(O)OH, pyrazole or thiazole N and azo N groups. The molar conductance data reveal that the chelates are non-electrolytes. From the solid reflectance spectra and magnetic moment data, the complexes were found to have octahedral, tetrahedral and square planar geometrical structures. The thermal behaviour of these chelates shows that the water molecules (hydrated and coordinated) and the anions are removed in a successive two steps followed immediately by decomposition of the ligand in the subsequent steps. The activation thermodynamic parameters, such as, E*, DeltaH*, DeltaS* and DeltaG* are calculated from the TG curves applying Coats-Redfern method.
