Abstract
Polyoxovanadates (POV) are a subgroup of polyoxometalates (POM), which are nanosized clusters with reported biological activities. This manuscript describes the first toxicity evaluation of a mixed-valence polyoxovanadate, pentadecavanadate, (Me4N)6[V15O36Cl], abbreviated as V15. Cytotoxicity experiments using peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC), larvae of Artemia salina Leach, and in vivo oral acute and repeated 28-day doses in mice was carried out. The LC50 values in PBMC cells and A. salina were 17.5 ± 5.8 μmol L-1, and 17.9 µg L-1, respectively, which indicates high cytotoxic activity. The toxicity in mice was not observed upon acute exposure in a single dose, however, the V15 repeated 28-day oral administration demonstrated high toxicity using 25 mg/kg, 50 mg/kg and, 300 mg/kg doses. The biochemical and hematological analyses during the 28-day administration of V15 showed significant alteration of the metabolic parameters related to the kidney and liver, suggesting moderate toxicity. The V15 toxicity was attributed to the oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation, once thiobarbituric acid (TBAR) levels significantly increased in both males and females treated with high doses of the POV and also in males treated with a lower dose of the POV. This is the first study reporting a treatment-related mortality in animals acutely administrated with a mixed-valence POV, contrasting with the well-known, less toxic decavanadate. These results document the toxicity of this mixed-valence POV, which may not be suitable for biomedical applications.

Abstract
Phase transitions of the centrosymmetric compound, [(C3H7)4N]2Zn2Cl6, were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and dielectric measurements. Two reversible order-disorder and displacive phase transitions are observed at T1=327K and T2=347K with 3K and 4K hysteresis respectively, indicating a first order character. The evolution of Raman line shifts, "ν", and the half-width, "Δν", versus temperature show some singularities associated with the transitions, suggesting that they are governed by the reorientational and the displacement of the organic part. Besides the results of the dielectric permittivity study confirms the conclusion drawn from the calorimetric and Raman measurements that the phase transition located in the vicinity of the temperature of the dielectric proprieties is characterized by change of dynamical state of cation.

Abstract
Tetrapropylammoniumchloride was used as a ligand for the synthesis of the new organic-inorganic compound bis-tetrapropylammoniumhexachlorostannate. Vibrational study in the solid state was performed by FT-IR of the free Tetrapropylammoniumchloride ligand (TPACL) and by FT-IR and FT-Raman spectroscopies of the [N(C3H7)4]2SnCl6 compound. The comparative analysis of the Infrared spectra of the title compound with that of the free ligand was discussed. The structure of the [N(C3H7)4]2SnCl6 compound was optimized by density functional theory (DFT) using B3LYP method and shows that the calculated values obtained by B3LYP/LanL2MB basis are in much better agreement with the experimental data than those obtained by B3LYP/LanL2DZ. The vibrational frequencies were evaluated using density functional theory (DFT) with the standard B3LYP/LanL2MB basis, and were scaled using various scale factors. Root mean square (RMS) value was calculated and the small difference between experimental and calculated modes has been interpreted by intermolecular interactions in the crystal.

Abstract
In the crystal structure of the title organic-inorganic hybrid material, (C10H22N2)[ZnCl4], the tetrachloridozincate anions and 1-cyclohexylpiperazine-1,4-diium dications are interconnected via N-H...Cl and C-H...Cl hydrogen bonds to form layers parallel to the (001) plane. The cyclohexyl groups from adjacent chains interdigitate, thus building the three-dimensional structure. The piperazinium and cyclohexyl rings exhibit regular spatial chair conformations. The title salt was also characterized by FT-IR and Raman spectroscopic analyses.

Abstract
New inorganic-organic hybrid [(C3H7)4N]2Hg2Cl6compound was obtained and characterised by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared, and impedance spectroscopy. The latter crystallizes in the monoclinic system (space group C 2/c, ) with the following unit cell dimensions: (1) Å, (6) Å, (2) Å, and (2). Besides, its structure was solved using 84860 independent reflections leading to . Electrical properties of the material were studied using impedance spectroscopic technique at different temperatures in the frequency range of 209 Hz to 5 MHz. Detailed analysis of the impedance spectrum suggested that the electrical properties of the material are strongly temperature-dependent. The Nyquist plots clearly showed the presence of bulk and grain boundary effect in the compound.

Abstract
Chemical preparation, mid-infrared and Raman spectra of [N(C(3)H(7))(4)](2)Cd(2)Cl(6) are presented. Polarized Raman spectra of oriented single crystals have been recorded in the range 7-3900 cm(-1) under various polarization configurations with regard to the symmetry and the numbers of several band modes observed in the Raman and infrared spectra. The obtained results are consistent with the theoretical predictions based on the infrared and Raman selection rules.
