Abstract
Montmorillonite (K10) loaded on magnetite silica-coated nanoparticles was made using simple co-precipitation methods. The prepared nanocat-Fe-Si-K10 was analyzed using some techniques including field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), inductive coupling plasma-optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transmission-infrared spectra (FT-IR), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and wavelength-dispersive spectroscopy (WDX). The catalytic activity of the synthesized nanocat-Fe-Si-K10 has been examined in one-pot multicomponent transformations for the synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl 2-naphthol derivatives under solvent-free conditions. Nanocat-Fe-Si-K10 was determined to be very active, having the ability to be reused 15 times without significant loss of catalytic activity. The suggested technique has several advantages, including excellent yield, minimum reaction time, a straightforward workup, and catalyst recycling, all of which are essential green synthetic aspects.

Abstract
Abstract
A green procedure for the one-pot three-component synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthol and 3-amino-1-phenyl-1H benzo[f]chromene-2-carbonitrile derivatives from the reaction of 2-naphtol, aldehydes, and malononitrile/acetamide in the presence of a catalytic amount of Fe3O4@enamine-B(OSO3H)2 as an efficient and novel heterogeneous magnetic nanostructure catalyst is described. The catalyst was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). These strategies possess some merits such as simple work-up method, easy preparation of the catalyst, short reaction times, good-to-high yields, and non-use of hazardous solvents during all steps of the reactions. Moreover, due to the magnetic nature of the catalyst, it was readily recovered by magnetic decantation and can be recycled at least six runs with no considerable decrease in catalytic activity.

Abstract
A one pot synthesis of carbon dot incorporated porous coconut shell char derived sulphonated catalyst is reported here for the first time and is effectively used in the multicomponent synthesis of amidoalkyl naphthol. Macroporous nature of the char is revealed from scanning electron microscopic (SEM) analysis, whereas the dispersion of carbon dots (CDs) on the porous coconut shell char is confirmed from the high resolution transmission electron microscopic (HRTEM) analysis. Fluorescence emission spectrum further confirmed the presence of CDs in the catalyst. Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectral analysis of the materials indicated that sulphonation occurred both to the CD and to the porous char. X-ray photo electron spectroscopic (XPS) analysis of the most active catalyst confirmed the presence of both sulphonic acid and carboxylic acid groups in the catalyst. The coconut shell char derived materials prepared by varying the amount of H2SO4 are successfully utilized as efficient alternative green catalysts for the multicomponent reaction, where excellent activity in amidoalkyl naphthol synthesis is obtained within short periods under solvent free reaction conditions. A maximum yield of 98% is obtained in the synthesis of N-[Phenyl-(2-hydroxy-naphthalen-1-yl)-methyl]-benzamide, the representative amidoalkyl naphthol, with the best catalyst within 3 min of reaction. The catalyst is highly active for the reactions carried out with varieties of aldehydes and amides with a product yield in the range of 88-98%. The best catalyst system retained more than 90% of its initial activity even upto 6th repeated run.

Abstract
A novel magnetic inorganic-organic nanohybrid material H6P2W18O62/pyridino-Fe3O4 (HPA/TPI-Fe3O4) was fabricated and performed as an efficient, eco-friendly, and highly recyclable catalyst for the solvent-free, one-pot, and multi-component synthesis of various substituted 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols from the reaction of β-naphthol, an aldehyde, and benzamide with good to excellent yields (47-94%) and in a short span of time (25-60 min). The nanohybrid catalyst was prepared by the chemical anchoring of Wells-Dawson heteropolyacid H6P2W18O62 onto the surface of modified Fe3O4 nanoparticles with N-[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]isonicotinamide (TPI) linker. The magnetically recoverable catalyst was easily recycled at least eight times without any loss of catalytic activity. XRD, TEM, UV-vis, and FTIR confirmed that the heteropolyacid H6P2W18O62 is well dispersed on the surface of the solid support and its structure is retained after immobilization on the pyridine modified Fe3O4 nanoparticles. This protocol is developed as a safe and convenient alternate method for the synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols utilizing an eco-friendly, and a highly reusable catalyst.

Abstract
The ionic liquid 1-methyl-3-(3-trimethoxysilylpropyl) imidazolium acetate was immobilized on the Fe3O4 nanoparticles (MNPs-IL-OAc) and used as an efficient new heterogeneous nanocatalyst for the one-pot multi-component synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols under ultrasound irradiation. The advantages of present combined method are the use of a low scale catalyst, easier work-up procedure, waste-free, green and efficient synthetic entry to excellent yield of products in a high reusability and a short reaction time.
