Abstract
Pyrrole derivatives are known as building blocks for the synthesis of biological compounds and pharmaceutical drugs. Several processes were employed to synthesize pyrroles, including Hantzsch, Paal-Knorr, and cycloaddition of dicarbonyl compounds reaction. Using catalysts like nanoparticles, metal salts, and heterogeneous ones was necessary to obtain the targeted pyrrole structure. Also, to afford more active pyrrole compounds, heterocyclic molecules such as imidazole or other rings were used in the synthesis as amines. This review presents heterogeneous catalysts since 2010 for the green synthesis of bioactive pyrroles in a one-pot multi-component reaction. Additionally, each synthetic method included a demonstration of the suggested mechanisms. Diakylacetylenedicarboxylate, dicarbonyl group, amines, furans, and acetylene group are consolidated to yield biological pyrroles through the heterogeneous catalysts. Finally, various pyrrole-performed activities were displayed, such as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and other significant activities.

Abstract
The construction of triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion (TTA-UC) systems with upconversion (UC) emission efficiency at low power densities is still under continuing exploration. From an environmental point of view, the utilization of purely organic pairs is more beneficial than the involvement of transition-metal complexes. In this context, 4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene (BODIPY) dyes, which can be found in a wide range of applications, have been previously used as suitable sensitizers in TTA-UC systems. The versatility of these scaffolds makes them magnificent objectives for designing and synthesizing potential entities with different target abilities. Herein, we prepared several asymmetric BODIPY dyes with excellent optical properties to be applied to a bimolecular TTA-UC system. In the presence of 2,5,8,11-tetra-tert-butylperylene (TBPe) as a suitable annihilator, a green-to-blue light conversion was clearly observed by means of detailed spectroscopic investigations. The results revealed a high UC emission efficiency (ηUC) of ∼8%, together with a low threshold intensity (I th) of ∼40-50 mW/cm2. All data indicated that these asymmetric BODIPY dyes were ideal sensitizers for TTA-UC, providing a particular design for further investigations.

Abstract
A gold-catalyzed cyclization of conjugated ynones with various nucleophiles such as indoles, alcohols, and thiols has been developed. The reaction provides a new and efficient protocol for the synthesis of functionalized pyrroles with wide versatility and functional group compatibility. Remarkably, for indolyl, alkoxy, or sulfenyl pyrroles, all could be constructed efficiently by this single methodology. In addition, cis-hydrofunctionalizations of ynones are involved in these reactions.

Abstract
The synthesis of aryl thioether through the cross-coupling of C-S bond is a highly attractive area of research due to the prevalence of aryl thioether in bioactive natural products, functional materials, agrochemicals, and pharmaceutically active compounds. Herein, we report a ligand-free Cu(I) mediated electrophilic thiolation of organostannanes with sulfur electrophiles. A selective transfer of alkyl groups was achieved in reactions with alkyl carbastannatranes affording congested thioethers. This study offers a unified method to access diaryl and aryl alkyl thioethers and was demonstrated in the context of late-stage modifications..

Abstract
A facile and efficient method for the synthesis of 3-[(4-nitrophenyl)thio]-substituted 4-methylene-1-pyrrolines is described. When treated with 4-nitrobenzenesulfenyl chloride in refluxing acetonitrile, N-propargylic β-enaminones produced α-sulfenylated N-propargylic β-enaminones, which, in the presence of sodium hydride or cesium carbonate, underwent nucleophilic cyclization to afford 4-methylene-3-[(4-nitrophenyl)thio]-1-pyrrolines in good to high yields. It was shown for the first time that on N-propargylic β-enaminone systems, α-sulfenylation dominates over the formation of thiirenium ion. This one-pot two-step process was found to be general for a variety of N-propargylic β-enaminones and demonstrated good tolerance to a diversity of aromatic and heteroaromatic groups with electron-withdrawing and electron-donating substituents. This process is also applicable to the cyclization of internal alkyne-tethered N-propargylic β-enaminones. The enrichment of 1-pyrroline core with an aryl sulfide moiety might exhibit potential for the synthesis of molecules of pharmacological interest.

Abstract
A silver-catalyzed coupling reaction of quinones with aryl disulfides for the synthesis of quinonyl aryl thioethers is described. In the presence of AgOAc (0.2 equiv)/dppp (0.24 equiv) as the catalyst, (NH4)2S2O8 (3.0 equiv) as the oxidant, and Bu4NBF4 (1.0 equiv) as the additive, the reaction is simple, provides high yield (up to 88% yield), and possesses a broad substrate scope. The reaction is believed to proceed via direct activation of disulfides evidenced by observation of a metathesis reaction between two different disulfides placed together under the reaction conditions and (13)C NMR spectroscopy analysis.
