Abstract
In four simple steps, a series of 5H-thiazolo[2',3':2,3]imidazo[4,5-b]indole and 11H-benzo[4',5']thiazolo[2',3':2,3]imidazo[4,5-b]indole derivatives were prepared with high yields. The key step in this procedure was demonstrated to be two-fold Cu-catalysed C-N coupling reactions of 5-bromo-6-(2-bromophenyl)imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole and 3-bromo-2-(2-bromophenyl)benzo[d]imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole with various amines.

Abstract
AbstractThe present article presents a personalized Account on the synthesis of nitrogen heterocycles by domino C–N coupling/hydroamination reactions and related processes. The starting materials, 2-alkynyl-1-halohetarenes, are regioselectively available by Sonogashira reactions of various 1,2-dihalogenated heterocycles, such as thiophenes, benzothiophenes, furans and benzofurans, pyridines, quinolines, pyrimidines, and other ring systems. More complex products are formed by domino C–N coupling/hydroamination/C–H arylation reactions of 2-alkynyl-1-halohetarenes with 2-bromoanilines. In these reactions, not only two, but three bonds are formed in one step. Abstract
The Zn(OTf)2-catalyzed hydroamination of ynamides 2a-2l with aromatic amines 1a-1r was developed. This protocol features broad substrate scope of aromatic amines, good functional group tolerance for ynamides, and excellent regioselectivities. As a result, a variety of substituted amidine compounds 3aa-3oa, 3ab-3al and 3pa-3rk were prepared in moderate to excellent yields and with high regioselectivities.

Abstract
The literature survey reveals that the individual coumarin and heterocyclic
molecules have biological and pharmaceutical activities. Moreover, integrated coumarinfused
heterocyclic compounds have shown interesting biological and physiochemical
properties and thus, designing and development of coumarin-fused heterocyclic molecules
are of great interest in the field of synthetic organic chemistry. Several coumarin-fused
heterocyclic molecules have been synthesized by using different strategies such as multistep
method, one-pot multi-component protocol, coupling and condensation method. The
wide applications of integrated coumarin-fused heterocyclic molecules stimulated interest
among researchers to develop different methodologies for the synthesis of novel fused
molecules. As a consequence, several research articles, papers and review articles have been published in the
literature. In this review article, we have presented various methods for the synthesis of different class of
coumarin-fused heterocyclic molecules and their applications in chemical, optical, pharmaceutical and other
useful applications.
