Abstract
The condensation of several primary amines and diamines with various N1-ethoxycarbonyles N1-tosylhydrazonates (1a-b), triazolones (2) and bis-triazolone (3) resulted in ethanol under ultrasound irradiation. Compared with the conventional methods, the main advantages of the present procedure are milder conditions, shorter reaction time and higher yields. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibition. The results were compared to Captopril as a reference drug. Compounds 3b, 2h, 3a, 2d, and 2f showed not only inhibition activity with IC50 values of 0.162, 0.253, 0.253, 0.281 and 0.382 µM, respectively, but also minimal toxicity. The docking of chemical compounds in the ACE active site showed possible inhibitory effect of all compounds on the catalytic activity of the enzyme, which would satisfactorily explain the anti-hypertensive effect of these compounds.

Abstract
Novel Schiff's bases 4a-e, 5a, 5b, and 6, thiazolidine 7a-d, and pyrazolidine 8 have been synthesized using the versatile synthon 4-hydroxy-2,7-dimethyl-1,8-naphthyridine 1. Reactions carried out under ultrasound irradiation showed higher rates and yields than those done under silent conditions. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for HepG2 cell growth inhibition. The results obtained revealed that the tested compounds possess inhibitory effect on the growth of HepG2 liver cancer cells. The results were compared to doxorubicin as a reference drug (IC50: 0.04). Compounds 4a and 7b showed the highest inhibition activity against the HepG2 cell line (IC50: 0.047 and 0.041 µM, resp.) among all the tested compounds.

Abstract
The solvent-free indium-promoted reaction of alkanoyl chlorides with sterically and electronically diverse arylstannanes is a simple and direct method for the regioselective synthesis of primary, secondary and tertiary alkyl aryl ketones in good to excellent isolated yields (42-84%) under mild and neutral conditions. The protocol is also adequate for the synthesis of aryl vinyl ketones. Reaction times are drastically reduced (from 3-32h to 10-70min) under ultrasonic irradiation. Evidences for the involvement of a homolytic aromatic ipso-substitution mechanism, in which indium metal acts as radical initiator, are presented. It is possible the transference of two aryl groups from tin, thus improving effective mass yield, working with diarylstannanes as starting substrates.

Abstract
Novel fused pyrans were synthesized from the reaction of the tetrahydropyran-4-one with arylidine malononitriles. Different fused pyran derivatives were obtained from the mentioned reaction depending on type of catalyst used and type of energy used. Reactions were carried out under silent and ultrasonic conditions. In general, it was found that sometimes ultrasound irradiations change the reaction path in comparing with silent condition. In addition to improvement in reaction times, the products were obtained in high yields and their structures were determined by elemental analyses, spectral data.

Abstract
The synthesis of 14 novel N-propargylic β-enaminones from the reaction of β-alkoxy vinyltrihalomethyl[carboxyethyl] ketones [R(3)C(O)CHC(R(1))OMe, where R(3)=CF(3), CCl(3), CO(2)Et and R(1)=Me, Et, Pr, Bu, i-Pent, CH(2)CH(2)CO(2)Me] with propargyl amines [R(2)NHCH(2)CCH, where R(2)=Pr, PhCH(2)] is reported. Yields, solvents and reaction times needed for reaction completion, by microwave irradiation (MW), conventional thermal heating (TH) and under ultrasound irradiation (US) are compared. The best results were obtained under US irradiation in good to excellent yields (70-93%).
