Abstract
Herein, we report an aerobic oxidative cross-dehydrogenative coupling (CDC) reaction between thiols and phosphonothioates. The reactions were conducted under mild and transition-metal-free conditions in the presence of air. Not only aryl thiols but also alkyl thiols were successfully coupled with phosphonothioates to form the corresponding phosphorodithioates in good to excellent yields.

Abstract
An oxidative deprotection of tosylhyrdazones has been demonstrated to afford benzoic acids using iodine and DMSO system. This efficient oxidative deprotection protocol offers exceptional functional group toleration under mild reaction conditions without any initiators or bases. Notably, the tosylhydrazone with the heteroaryl ring or with the aryl ring having base-sensitive hydroxyl and ester functional groups smoothly afforded the corresponding benzoic acid analogues under developed conditions. Moreover, this method features short reaction times, high product yields and easy purification by avoiding column-chromatographic purification.

Abstract
Acyclovir has a short half-life and offers poor bioavailability. Its daily dose is 200 mg five times a day. A tamarind gum and β-cyclodextrin-based pH-responsive hydrogel network for sustained delivery of acyclovir was developed using the free-radical polymerization technique. Developed networks were characterized by FTIR, DSC, TGA, PXRD, EDX, and SEM. The effect of varying feed ratios of polymers, monomers, and crosslinker on the gel fraction, swelling, and release was also investigated. FTIR findings confirmed the compatibility of the ingredients in a new complex polymer. The thermal stability of acyclovir was increased within the newly synthesized polymer. SEM photomicrographs confirmed the porous texture of hydrogels. The gel fraction was improved (from 90.12% to 98.12%) with increased reactant concentrations. The pH of the dissolution medium and the reactant contents affected swelling dynamics and acyclovir release from the developed carrier system. Based on the R2 value, the best-fit model was zero-order kinetics with non-Fickian diffusion as a release mechanism. The biocompatibility of the developed network was confirmed through hematology, LFT, RFT, lipid profile, and histopathological examinations. No sign of pathology, necrosis, or abrasion was observed. Thus, a pH-responsive and biocompatible polymeric system was developed for sustained delivery of acyclovir to reduce the dosing frequency and improve patient compliance.

Abstract
A variety of semicarbazones are transformed to their carbonyl compounds with quinolinium fluorochromate (QFC) in high yields under mild and non-aqueous conditions. Selective deprotection of semicarbazones and oximes in the presence of p-nitrophenylhydrazones or 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones is noteworthy advantage of this reagent.

Abstract
The concept of green chemistry began in the USA in the 1990s. Since the publication of the 12 principles of this concept, many reactions in organic chemistry have been developed, and chemical products have been synthesized under environmentally friendly conditions. Lewis acid mediated synthetic transformations are by far the most numerous and best studied. However, the use of certain Lewis acids may cause risks to environmental and human health. This Review discusses the evolution of Lewis acid catalyzed reactions from a homogeneous liquid phase to the solid phase to yield the expected organic molecules under green, safe conditions. In particular, recent developments and applications of biosourced catalysts from plants are highlighted.

Abstract
Reactions of O,O'-dialkyl thiophosphoric acids with alkyl halides, in the presence of a base, provide a direct synthetic route to phosphorothioates via O,O'-dialkyl thiophosphate anion formation. Studies on the reaction of ambident nucleophile ammonium O,O'-diethyl thiophosphate with benzyl halides and tosylate in different solvents show that only S-alkylation is obtained. Reaction of this ambident nucleophile with benzoyl chloride (a hard electrophile), gave the O-acylation product. A simple, efficient, and general method has been developed for the synthesis of phosphorothioates through a one-pot reaction of alkyl halides with the mixture of diethyl phosphite in the presence of triethylamine/sulfur/and acidic alumina under solvent-free conditions using microwave irradiation.
