Abstract
In this study, a type of thiazolium-labeled 1,3,4-oxadiazole thioether bridged by diverse alkyl chain lengths was constructed. The antimicrobial activity of the fabricated thioether toward plant pathogenic bacteria and fungi was then screened. Antibacterial evaluation indicated that title compounds possess specific characteristics that enable them to severely attack three phytopathogens, namely, Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, Ralstonia solanacearum, and Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri with minimal EC50 values of 0.10, 3.27, and 3.50 μg/mL, respectively. Three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship models were established to direct the following excogitation for exploring higher active drugs. The in vivo study against plant bacterial diseases further identified the prospective application of title compounds as alternative antibacterial agents. The proteomic technique, scanning electron microscopy patterns, and fluorescence spectrometry were exploited to investigate the antibacterial mechanism. Additionally, some target compounds performed superior inhibitory actions against three tested fungal strains. In view of their simple molecular architecture and highly efficient bioactivity, these substrates could be further explored as promising surrogates for fighting against plant microbial infections.

Abstract
An efficient one-pot, three-component synthesis of 2-imino-1,3-thiazolidines and 2-imino-1,3-thiazolines using ionic liquid-tethered 2-aminobenzimidazoles was reported. The protocol includes reaction of ionic liquid attached 2-aminobenzimidazoles with isothiocyanates to afford isothioureas, followed by its base induced inter and intramolecular nucleophilic displacement reactions with 1,2-dichloroethane (EDC) which results in thiazolidine ring formation. In the next to the last step, the ionic liquid support was removed by methanolysis to deliver 2-imino-1,3-thiazolidines, which were sequentially oxidized with manganese(III) triacetate to yield 2-imino-1,3-thiazolines. The salient feature of this method is the use of 1,2-dichloroethane as a synthetic equivalent for α-haloketone to avoid the use of toxic halogenating reagents.

Abstract
A facile solid-phase synthetic approach to the synthesis of 3,4-disubstituted-2-aminothiazolium derivatives was reported. Functionalized aminomethylphenyl silica gel was used as a "volatilizable" support. The products were cleaved with 10% HF and were obtained in high yields and purities.

Abstract
The tumor-inhibitory effect of C60(OH)x was tested on the murine H22 hepatocarcinoma model. Doses of 0.2 and 1.0 mg kg(-1) body weight both showed significant antitumor activity with tumor inhibition rates of 31.9 and 38.4%, respectively, when mice were treated for 17 consecutive days. The damnification of liver was prominently reduced. Furthermore, histological examination indicated that an envelope of fibroblasts and lymphocytes was formed surrounding tumor tissues in the C60(OH)x-treated group, which inhibited the infiltration of tumor to the neighboring normal skeleton muscle tissues. To understand the antitumor mechanism, the immunomodulatory activity of C60(OH)x was investigated. The results indicate that C60(OH)x enhances the phagocytosis of peritoneal macrophages and elevates the activity of arginase and acid phosphatase in vivo. The tumor necrosis factor alpha production of C60(OH)x-treated macrophages also increases in vitro. These results suggest that C60(OH)x can enhance the innate immunity of tumor-bearing mice, and therefore inhibits growth of the tumor.

Abstract
The zinc(II) complexes dichloro[2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)imino-kappaN-(2-thiazolin-kappaN-2-yl)thiazolidine]zinc(II) (1) and dichloro[2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)imino-kappaN-(4H-5,6-dihydro-1,3-thiazin-kappaN-2-yl)tetrahydrothiazine]zinc(II) (2) have been isolated and characterized in the solid state by X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis and IR spectra. In both complexes, the environment around the zinc(II) ion may be described as a distorted tetrahedral geometry, with the metallic atom coordinated to two chlorine atoms [Zn-Cl(1)=2.218(1)A; Zn-Cl(2)=2.221(1)A], one imino nitrogen [Zn-N(3)=2.042(2)A] and one thiazoline nitrogen [Zn-N(1)=2.022(2)A] in complex 1 and to two chlorine atoms [Zn-Cl(1)=2.216(1)A; Zn-Cl(2)=2.192(1)A], one imino nitrogen [Zn-N(3)=2.045(2)A] and one thiazine nitrogen [Zn-N(1)=2.039(2)A] in complex 2. In addition, we also report in this study the crystal structure of the 2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)imino-N-(2-thiazolin-2-yl)thiazolidine (TdTn) ligand as well as the synthesis and characterization by X-ray diffraction, (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra, elemental analysis, IR and electronic spectra of the 2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)imino-N-(4H-5,6-dihydro-1,3-thiazin-2-yl)tetrahydrothiazine (TzTz) ligand. Besides, we study the phagocytic function in humans neutrophils treated with each complex and ligand aforementioned.
