Abstract
In this work, we report the synthesis and photocatalytic properties of N,N-bis(n-hexyl)-2-bromo-6-(n-hexylamino)-1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic diimide photocatalyst, NDI-PC, in visible light. In the presence of air or oxidant, NDI-PC efficiently enables multiple photooxygenations of isoquinolines, thiocyanation of phenylimidazopyridines, functionalization of quinolinones by allowing regioselective installation of an SCN, SeCN, SPh, SePh, Cl, Br, or I group at the C-3 position, and isomerization of alkenes. Mechanistic investigations suggest an oxidative photoredox process for oxygenation and C-H functionalization, while isomerization is believed to proceed through a photosensitization pathway.

Abstract
Three hybrid electrochemical protocols, which involve the energy transfer, direct photolysis and N-hydroxyphthalimide catalyst, respectively, are presented for the selenylation/cyclization of the fragile substrates of 3-aza-1,5-dienes with diorganyl diselenides to afford 3-selenomethyl-4-pyrrolin-2-ones. The two electrophotocatalytic reactions and the indirect electrolysis one are both regioselective and external-oxidant- and transition-metal-free, and are associated with a broad substrate scope and high Se-economy, and all three methods are amenable to gram-scale syntheses, late-stage functionalizations, sunlight-induced experiments and all-solar-driven syntheses.

Abstract
An electrochemical method was developed to accomplish the reagentless synthesis of 4,5-disubstituted triazole derivatives employing secondary propargyl alcohol as C-3 synthon and sodium azide as cycloaddition counterpart. The reaction was conducted at room temperature in an undivided cell with a constant current using a pencil graphite (C) anode and stainless-steel cathode in a MeCN solvent system. The proposed reaction mechanism was convincingly established by carrying out a series of control experiments and further supported by electrochemical and density functional theory (DFT) studies.

Abstract
This work describes an effective C3-H halogenation of quinoline-4(1H)-ones under electrochemical conditions, in which potassium halides serve as both halogenating agents and electrolytes. The protocol provides expedient access to different halogenated quinoline-4(1H)-ones with unique regioselectivity, broad substrate scope, and gram-scale synthesis employing convenient, environmentally friendly electrolysis, in an undivided cell. Mechanism studies have shown that halogen radicals can promote the activation of N-H bonds in quinolones.

Abstract
An electrochemical dehydrogenative amination for the synthesis of benzimidazoles was developed. This electrosynthesis method could address the limitations of the C(sp3)-H intramolecular amination synthesis reaction and provide novel access to obtain 1,2-disubstituted benzimidazoles without transition metals and oxidants. Under undivided electrolytic conditions, various benzimidazole derivatives could be synthesized, exhibiting functional group tolerance.

Abstract
We reported a general transition metal-free transformation to access C3-carbamoylated 2H-indazoles via visible light-induced oxidative decarboxylation coupling, in the presence of oxamic acids as the coupling sources, 4CzIPN as the photocatalyst, and Cs2CO3 as the base. The great application potential of this mild condition is highlighted by the late-stage modification of drugs, N-terminal modification of peptides, and the good antitumor activity of the novel desired product.

Abstract
A novel and versatile method for peri-C-H selenylation of aromatic compounds bearing ketone groups, including chromones, xanthones, acridinones, quinolinones and naphthoquinones with diselenides under Ru(II) catalysis is presented. Various chromones and diselenides are applicable for this transformation, affording 5-selenyl chromones in a highly regioselective manner in good to excellent yields. This transformation is easy to scale up and the desired products can be further modified. Most importantly, this transformation allows the late-stage selenylation of bioactive compounds. Mechanistic studies show that radicals may be involved in this novel transformation.

Abstract
The development of protocols for direct catalytic acceptorless dehydrogenation of N-heterocycles with metal-free catalysts holds the key to difficulties in green and sustainable chemistry. Herein, an N-oxyl radical (TEMPO) acting as an oxidant in combination with electrochemistry is used as a synthesis system under neutral conditions to produce N-heterocycles such as benzimidazole and quinazolinone. The key feature of this protocol is the utilization of the TEMPO system as an inexpensive and easy to handle radical surrogate that can effectively promote the dehydrogenation reaction. Mechanistic studies also suggest that oxidative TEMPOs redox catalytic cycle participates in the dehydrogenation of 2,3-dihydro heteroarenes.

Abstract
An electrochemical oxidative synthesis of S-thiocarbamates by a carbamothioation reaction via a three-component coupling reaction (disulfide, water and isocyanide) is developed, which avoids the use of external oxidants and generates only hydrogen gas as the by-product. With NH4I as the mediator and electrolyte, the desired S-thiocarbamates were obtained in good yields in an undivided cell at room temperature.

Abstract
A practical and mild method for the switchable synthesis of sulfoxides or sulfones via selective oxidation of sulfides using cheap N-fluorobenzenesulfonimide (NFSI) as the oxidant has been developed. These highly chemoselective transformations were simply achieved by varying the NFSI loading with H2O as the green solvent and oxygen source without any additives. The good functional group tolerance makes the strategy valuable.
