Abstract
Objective Youths at clinical high risk for psychosis (CHR-P) are characterized by a high prevalence of anxiety and depressive disorders. The present study aimed at developing and analyzing a network structure of CHR-P symptom domains (i.e., positive, negative, disorganization, and general subclinical psychotic symptoms), depressive and anxiety symptoms, and general functioning. Methods Network analysis was applied to data on 111 CHR-P children and adolescents (M age = 14.1), who were assessed using the Structured Interview for Prodromal Syndromes, the Children's Depression Inventory, the Children's Global Assessment Scale, and the Multidimensional Anxiety Scale for Children. Results In the network, negative and disorganization symptoms showed the strongest association (r = 0.71), and depressive and anxiety symptoms showed dense within-domain connections, with a main bridging role played by physical symptoms of anxiety. The positive symptom cluster was not associated with any other node. The network stability coefficient (CS) was slightly below 0.25, and observed correlations observed ranged from 0.35 to 0.71. Conclusion The lack of association between subclinical positive symptoms and other network variables confirmed the independent nature of subclinical positive symptoms from comorbid symptoms, which were found to play a central role in the analyzed network. Complex interventions should be developed to target positive and comorbid symptoms, prioritizing those with the most significant impact on functioning and the most relevance for the young individual, through a shared decision-making process. Importantly, the results suggest that negative and disorganization symptoms, as well as depressive and anxiety symptoms, may be targeted simultaneously.

Abstract
The network approach to psychopathology posits that mental disorders can be conceptualized and studied as causal systems of mutually reinforcing symptoms. This approach, first posited in 2008, has grown substantially over the past decade and is now a full-fledged area of psychiatric research. In this article, we provide an overview and critical analysis of 363 articles produced in the first decade of this research program, with a focus on key theoretical, methodological, and empirical contributions. In addition, we turn our attention to the next decade of the network approach and propose critical avenues for future research in each of these domains. We argue that this program of research will be best served by working toward two overarching aims: (a) the identification of robust empirical phenomena and (b) the development of formal theories that can explain those phenomena. We recommend specific steps forward within this broad framework and argue that these steps are necessary if the network approach is to develop into a progressive program of research capable of producing a cumulative body of knowledge about how specific mental disorders operate as causal systems.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Psychological comorbidities have been reported in patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), yet only a few studies have investigated the possible association between HS and severe psychiatric disorders. The current study aimed to assess the association between HS and bipolar disorder, a major, chronic, psychiatric disease. METHODS A nationwide, population-based study was performed utilizing data from the Clalit Health Services (CHS) database in Israel. The study included 4,191 HS patients and 20,941 age- and gender-matched controls. A multivariate binary logistic regression, adjusted for demographic and behavioral risk factors, was performed. RESULTS A higher proportion of bipolar disorders was found among HS patients compared to controls (0.7 vs. 0.1%, respectively). There was an increased proportion of active smokers among HS patients than among controls (53.4 vs. 13.5%, respectively). In the multivariate analysis, adjusting for age, sex, and smoking, HS was found to be independently and positively associated with bipolar disorders (OR 2.12, 95% CI 1.21-3.27, p < 0.01), yet after controlling for body mass this association became nonsignificant. CONCLUSIONS Bipolar disorders are associated with HS. Future studies should explore whether cardiometabolic deficiencies might account for this association. Healthcare providers should consider this potential co-occurrence as it may impede patient compliance and require appropriate screening and treatment. Results also stress the need for a multidisciplinary approach to optimize management of the disease and its associated comorbidities.

Abstract
Many outcome measures and session‐related questionnaires in psychotherapy are designed for weekly or biweekly administration. Yet, today, technical developments allow for higher frequency assessments to monitor human change dynamics more closely by daily assessments. For this purpose, the Therapy Process Questionnaire (TPQ) was developed, with a specific focus on inpatient psychotherapy. In this article, we present an explorative and confirmative factor analysis of the TPQ on the basis of the time series data of 150 patients collected during their hospital stay (mean time series length: 69.1 measurement points). A seven‐factor solution was identified, which explains 68.7% of variance and associates 43 items onto the factors, which are “well‐being and positive emotions,” “relationship with fellow patients,” “therapeutic relationship and clinical setting,” “emotional and problem intensity,” “insight/confidence/therapeutic progress,” “motivation for change,” and “mindfulness/self‐care.” The internal consistency (Cronbach's α), the inter‐item correlations of the subscales, and the discriminative power of the items are excellent. The TPQ can be applied in practice and research for creating time series with equidistant measurement points and time series lengths, which are appropriate for the application of nonlinear analysis methods. Especially in clinical practice, it is important to identify precursors of phase transitions, changing synchronization patterns, and critical or instable periods of a process, which now is possible by internet‐ or app‐based applications of this multidimensional questionnaire.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Numerous studies have indicated that comorbid anxiety and depression are associated with a more severe course of illness. Yet generally, the study of the effect of psoriasis on patients' mental health has considered anxiety and depression to be separate states. OBJECTIVE To measure the association between psoriasis and anxiety, depression and anxiety-depression co-occurrence among patients according to their socioeconomic statuses (SES). METHODS A nationwide population-based study of psoriasis patients and age and gender frequency-matched controls (n = 255 862) was designed. Diagnostic data were obtained from Clalit Health Services, the largest managed care organization in Israel. This database was established using continuous real-time input from healthcare providers, pharmacies, medical care facilities and administrative computerized operating systems. RESULTS After controlling for demographic and clinical variables, psoriasis was associated with anxiety (OR 1.11, 95% CI 1.01-1.23, P < 0.05), depression (OR 1.17, 95% CI 1.08-1.26, P < 0.001), and anxiety and depression co-occurrence (OR 1.32, 95% CI 1.21-1.45, P < 0.001) among patients with low SES, yet was associated only with anxiety (OR 1.15 95% CI 1.04-1.27, P < 0.001) but not depression or comorbid anxiety-depression among patients with high SES. Survival analyses indicated that between the ages of 40 and 60, the cumulative probability of psoriasis patients with low SES to suffer from anxiety, depression and their co-occurrence inclined more sharply with age as compared to psoriasis patients with high SES. CONCLUSIONS As psoriasis patients with low SES are prone to suffer from more severe courses of anxiety and depression, the choice of treatment of psoriasis should address the SES as well as the underlying psychiatric disease.
