Abstract
This study presents a colorimetric sensor for cancer screening utilizing the bifunctional enzyme activity of NiCo Prussian blue analogue (PBA), a PBA material. By introducing oxygen vacancies and employing a dual-metal doping strategy, NiCo PBA overcomes the limitations in catalytic activity observed in single-metal-doped materials (such as Ni PBA and Co PBA), significantly enhancing both peroxidase-like (POD) and catalase-like (CAT) activities. Compared to single-metal-doped Ni PBA and Co PBA, NiCo PBA exhibited a 30.08-fold increase in POD activity and a 4.83-fold increase in CAT activity, demonstrating higher sensitivity in carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) detection. By integrating NiCo PBA with a cascade catalytic reaction principle, we developed a highly efficient and sensitive CEA detection method. NiCo PBA was utilized as a catalytic material in this method. Under the action of glucose oxidase, the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide was catalyzed by NiCo PBA, and oxygen was generated. Furthermore, a blue flocculent substance was produced when NiCo PBA was reacted with a chromogenic substrate. Through mutual verification by these two methods, the quantitative determination of CEA in serum samples was achieved. The experimental results demonstrated that the POD-like activity detection range was 0.2-50 ng mL-1, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.061 ng mL-1, while the CAT-like activity detection range was 0.1-20 ng mL-1, with an LOD of 0.028 ng mL-1. The sensitivity of this method was substantially increased compared to monometallic materials. Furthermore, this strategy possesses good scalability and can be adapted for the detection of various analytes by replacing different recognition units, providing an efficient detection platform for early cancer screening.

Abstract
Herein, we report a gold(I)-catalyzed heterocyclization/(5 + 3) cycloaddition cascade of yne-enones with imidazolidines, providing a modular, atom-economical and efficient strategy for the synthesis of cycloocta[c]furans in moderate to excellent yields. This method features readily available substrates, simple operation, mild reaction conditions, and broad substrate scope. More importantly, the asymmetric version is also achieved by employing (R)-C2-TunePhos ligand (L7), leading to optically active cycloocta[c]furans with up to 98:2 er.

Abstract
A novel base-promoted method for hydrophosphinylation of alkynyl enones with secondary phosphine oxides has been developed. Using inexpensive and commercially available potassium carbonate, a variety of functionalized tri-substituted allene products were synthesized with exclusive regio- and diastereoselectivity under mild conditions. Furthermore, a one-pot, two-step, three-component tandem hydrophosphinylation/Heck reaction efficiently produced tetra-substituted homoallenyl phosphine oxides in excellent yields, demonstrating a relatively broad substrate scope.

Abstract
The expeditious construction of tetrasubstituted furans via Cu/base-promoted cascade reactions of terminal alkynes with 1,2-diketones is described. This reaction proceeds smoothly, involving the formation of multiple chemical bonds tolerating a wide range of functional groups. The mechanism underlying these transformations has been thoroughly investigated, suggesting that 1,3-diyne serves as a key intermediate generated in situ through oxidative coupling facilitated by the Cu catalyst.

Abstract
Chiral 2-azetines and allenes are highly valuable structural units in natural products and useful chemicals. However, enantioselective synthesis of both 2-azetines and allenes has been extremely challenging. Herein, we present asymmetric construction of chiral 2-azetines (70-98 % yields and up to 96 % ee) through chiral phosphine-catalyzed [2+2] annulation of yne-enones with sulfamate-derived cyclic imines. These 2-azetines were easily transformed into chiral allenes upon treatment with Et3SiH, BF3 ⋅ Et2O and water at rt for 2 minutes. Based on the above transformations, a concise one-pot synthetic procedure combining [2+2] annulation of yne-enones and sulfamate-derived cyclic imines under phosphine catalysis and sequential reduction/isomerization/ring-opening reaction through Et3SiH, BF3 ⋅ Et2O and water was thus set up, providing axially chiral tetrasubstituted allenes in satisfactory yields and enantioselectivities (56-90 % yields and up to 91 % ee).

Abstract
An unexpected cascade reaction of enyne-amides with sulfur-ylides has been developed. This cascade reaction involves cycloisomerization, dearomatic cyclopropanation, ring-opening rearomatization, and subsequent cyclopropanation, differing from the common [2 + n] cyclization of enyne-amides. A variety of (spirocyclopropane)dihydrofuran derivatives have been efficiently and conveniently synthesized in a single vessel, exhibiting excellent diastereoselectivity and good functional group tolerance.

Abstract
Due to the inherent challenges posed by the linear coordination of gold(I) complexes, asymmetric gold-catalyzed processes remain challenging, particularly in the atroposelective synthesis of axially chiral skeletons. Except for extremely few examples of intramolecular annulations, the construction of axial chirality via asymmetric gold-catalyzed intermolecular alkyne transformation is still undeveloped. Herein, a gold/HNTf2-cocatalyzed asymmetric diazo-alkyne annulation is developed, allowing the atroposelective and divergent synthesis of chiral non-C2-symmetric biaryls and arylquinones in generally good to excellent yield (up to 93% yield) and enantioselectivity (up to 99% ee), with broad substrate scope. Notably, this work represents the first gold-catalyzed atroposelective construction in an intermolecular manner. More interestingly, this strategy is successfully extended to the first asymmetric construction of seven-membered-ring atropisomers bearing one carbon-centered chirality in excellent diastereoselectivity and high enantioselectivity (up to 93% ee and 50:1 dr). Remarkably, the utility of this methodology is further illustrated by the successful application of a representative axially chiral ligand in a series of enantioselective reactions. Importantly, the Brønsted acid as a proton-shuttle cocatalyst significantly promotes this asymmetric annulation. Additionally, the origin of enantioselectivity of this annulation and the role of HNTf2 are disclosed by density functional calculations and control experiments.

Abstract
Hexahydro-2H-cyclopenta[b]furan fused to electron-rich aromatic rings reacts with various aromatic aldehydes in different modes to build diverse frameworks. The reaction of a dimethoxybenzene-fused cyclopentafuran generated diquinanes fused with a hydrofuran ring, indenopyrans, or diarylindanes depending upon the type of aromatic aldehydes, whereas an indole-annulated cyclopentafuran generated another type of diquinane fused with hydrofuran ring or benzylidenecyclopentafuran. The chemodivergence is due to the different properties between indole- and dimethoxybenzene-fused hydrocyclopentafurans. Namely, Lewis acid-promoted furan-ring opening of the substrates resulted in the formation of an electrophilic or a nucleophilic intermediate, respectively. Additionally, the observed chemodivergence can be attributed to the distinctive electronic properties of three classified aromatic aldehydes. Of particular interest is that 2,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde reacted with the dimethoxybenzene-fused cyclopentafuran at the benzene ring, whereas it reacted with the indole-fused cyclopentafuran at the formyl group.

Abstract
The tethered counterion-directed catalysis (TCDC) strategy enables the Au(I)-catalyzed highly enantioselective synthesis of bicyclic furan derivatives via a reaction sequence combining the cycloisomerization of 2-alkynyl enones and the addition of nucleophiles. A large range of oxygenated nucleophiles, such as water, alcohols, carboxylic acids, and peroxides, have successfully been used as nucleophiles, delivering the chiral furane derivatives in high enantioselectivities (mostly above 90% enantiomeric excess). The CPAphosAuCl complexes were used with catalytic loadings as low as 0.2 mol % in most cases, in combination with silver carbonate as the chloride abstractor.

Abstract
A silver-catalyzed cascade cyclization strategy has been developed for the synthesis of 4-aminotetrahydrocarbazole, a common core structure found in various alkaloids. This target molecule can be synthesized through a one-step tandem cyclization reaction, thereby eliminating the need for a prior synthesis of tetrahydrocarbazole. Furthermore, the use of chiral tert-butylsulfinamide facilitates in situ chiral resolution of the resulting product.

Abstract
A novel, highly stereoselective gold-catalyzed spirocyclization of 2-benzyl-3-alkynyl chromone with nitrone is described. This cascade reaction involves gold-catalyzed cycloisomerization, nitrone-olefin [3 + 2]-annulation, alkene oxidation, and rearrangement for the formation of spirocyclic products. Interestingly, the isoxazolidine ring generated from [3 + 2]-annulation donates oxygen to alkene to generate a new pyran-3(4H)-one and azetidine ring for dispiro-benzofuran formation upon heating. This work demonstrates the one-pot, gold-catalyzed, multiple-step reaction, and the reaction temperature directly affects the formation of spirocyclic products.

Cycloaddition reactions play a pivotal role in synthetic chemistry for the direct assembly of cyclic architectures. However, hurdles remain for extending the C4 synthon to construct diverse heterocycles via programmable [4+n]-cycloaddition. Here we report an atom-economic and modular intermolecular cycloaddition using furan-fused cyclobutanones (FCBs) as a versatile C4 synthon. In contrast to the well-documented cycloaddition of benzocyclobutenones, this is a complementary version using FCB as a C4 reagent. It involves a C-C bond activation and cycloaddition sequence, including a Rh-catalyzed enantioselective [4 + 2]-cycloaddition with imines and an Au-catalyzed diastereoselective [4 + 4]-cycloaddition with anthranils. The obtained furan-fused lactams, which are pivotal motifs that present in many natural products, bioactive molecules, and materials, are inaccessible or difficult to prepare by other methods. Preliminary antitumor activity study indicates that 6e and 6 f exhibit high anticancer potency against colon cancer cells (HCT-116, IC50 = 0.50 ± 0.05 μM) and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells (KYSE-520, IC50 = 0.89 ± 0.13 μM), respectively.

Abstract
We here reported a highly stereoselective method for the synthesis of polysubstituted conjugated dienes from α-aryl α-diazo alkynyl ketones and pyrazole-substituted unsymmetric aminals under mild conditions, which was promoted by photo-irridation and involved with 1,6-dipolar intermediate and quadruple sigmatropic rearrangements, was successfully developed. In this transformation, the cleavage of four bonds and the recombination of five bonds were implemented in one operational step. This protocol provided a modular tool for constructing dienes from amines, pyrazoles and α-alkynyl-α-diazoketones in one-pot manner. The results of mechanistic investigation indicated that the plausible reaction path underwent the 1,6-sigmatropic rearrangement instead of the 1,5-sigmatropic rearrangement.

Abstract
A highly efficient synthesis of 7-vinyl-6,7-dihydro-4H-furo[3,4-c]pyran derivatives from 2-butene-1,4-diols and 2-(1-alkynyl)-2-alken-1-ones has been achieved with high regio- and diastereoselectivity (dr > 20:1) by Pd-catalyzed tandem heterocyclization/cross-coupling. The π-allyl palladium species Int II generated from 2-butene-1,4-diol by direct cleavage of the C-OH bond is the key to the success in this formal (3 + 3) cycloaddition reaction.

Abstract
Bimetallic nanoparticles often show properties superior to their single-component counterparts. However, the large parameter space, including size, structure, composition, and spatial arrangement, impedes the discovery of the best nanoparticles for a given application. High-throughput methods that can control the composition and spatial arrangement of the nanoparticles are desirable for accelerated materials discovery. Herein, we report a methodology for synthesizing bimetallic alloy nanoparticle arrays with precise control over their composition and spatial arrangement. A dual-channel nanopipet is used, and nanofluidic control in the nanopipet further enables precise tuning of the electrodeposition rate of each element, which determines the final composition of the nanoparticle. The composition control is validated by finite element simulation as well as electrochemical and elemental analyses. The scope of the particles demonstrated includes Cu-Ag, Cu-Pt, Au-Pt, Cu-Pb, and Co-Ni. We further demonstrate surface patterning using Cu-Ag alloys with precise control of the location and composition of each pixel. Additionally, combining the nanoparticle alloy synthesis method with scanning electrochemical cell microscopy (SECCM) allows for fast screening of electrocatalysts. The method is generally applicable for synthesizing metal nanoparticles that can be electrodeposited, which is important toward developing automated synthesis and screening systems for accelerated material discovery in electrocatalysis.

Abstract
Significant progress has been made in asymmetric synthesis through the use of transition metal catalysts combined with Lewis bases. However, the use of a dual catalytic system involving 4-aminopyridine and transition metal has received little attention. Here we show a metal/Lewis base relay catalytic system featuring silver acetate and a modified chiral pyrrolidinopyridine (PPY). It was successfully applied in the cycloisomerization/(2 + 3) cycloaddition reaction of enynamides. Bispirocyclopentene pyrazolone products could be efficiently synthesized in a stereoselective and economical manner (up to >19:1 dr, 99.5:0.5 er). Transformations of the product could access stereodivergent diastereoisomers and densely functionalized polycyclic derivatives. Mechanistic studies illustrated the relay catalytic model and the origin of the uncommon chemoselectivity. In subsequent bioassays, the products containing a privileged drug-like scaffold exhibited isoform-selective phosphodiesterase 1 (PDE1) inhibitory activity in vitro. The optimal lead compound displayed a good therapeutic effect for ameliorating pulmonary fibrosis via inhibiting PDE1 in vivo.

Abstract
Herein, an I2 -catalyzed unprecedented cycloisomerization of ynamides is developed, furnishing various functionalized bis(indole) derivatives in generally good to excellent yields with wide substrate scope and excellent atom-economy. This protocol not only represents the first molecular-iodine-catalyzed tandem complex alkyne cycloisomerizations, but also constitutes the first chemoselective cycloisomerization of tryptamine-ynamides involving distinctively different C(sp3 )-C(sp3 ) bond cleavage and rearrangement. Moreover, chiral tetrahydropyridine frameworks containing two stereocenters are obtained with moderate to excellent diastereoselectivities and excellent enantioselectivities. Meanwhile, cycloisomerization and aromatization of ynamides produce pyrrolyl indoles with high efficiency enabled by I2 . Additionally, control experiments and theoretical calculations reveal that this reaction probably undergoes a tandem 5-exo-dig cyclization/rearrangement process.

Abstract
Modulable monosulfonyl squaramides have been shown to exert activation of gold(I) chloride complexes through H-bonding in an intermolecular way. Combinations of (PPh3)AuCl or IPrAuCl complexes and an optimal sulfonyl squaramide cocatalyst bearing two 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl groups efficiently catalyzed diverse heterocyclizations and a cyclopropanation reaction, avoiding in all cases undesired side reactions. Computational studies indicate that the Au-Cl bond breaks by transligation to the triple bond in a ternary complex formed by the actual AuCl···HBD catalyst and the substrate.

Abstract
Herein, using a single-electron-transfer reduction-based radical-polar crossover process as a strategy, protocols dealing with the preparation of functionalized alkynylcyclopropanes have been successfully developed via the reactions of 1,3-enynes with alkyl radicals. In addition to redox-neutral photocatalysis, nickel catalysis with zinc as the reductant is also an alternative to enable reactions of 1,3-enynes with redox-active N-hydroxyphthalimide esters. The synthetic application of alkynylcyclopropane has also been demonstrated.

Abstract
H-bonded counterion-directed catalysis (HCDC) is a strategy wherein a chiral anion that is hydrogen-bonded to the achiral ligand of a metal complex is responsible for enantioinduction. In this article we present the application of H-bonded counterion-directed catalysis to the Au(I)-catalyzed enantioselective tandem cycloisomerization-addition reaction of 2-alkynyl enones. Following the addition of C-, N- or O-centered nucleophiles, bicyclic furans were obtained in moderate to excellent yield and enantioselectivity (28 examples, 59-96 % yield, 62 : 38 to 95 : 5 er). The optimal catalytic system, comprising a phosphinosquaramide Au(I) chloride complex and a BINOL-derived phosphoramidate Ag(I) salt, was selected in a combinatorial fashion from a larger library with the help of high-throughput screening. An enantioselectivity switch of ca. 120 Δee% was observed upon addition of the achiral Au(I) component to the Ag(I) salt.

Abstract
An efficient approach to functionalized (E)-3-cinnamyl-3-methyl-2,3-dihydrobenzofurans and (E)-(3-methyl-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-3-yl)but-2-enones has been developed through a Pd-catalyzed one-pot cascade process involving two sequential Heck reactions, that is, an intramolecular Heck reaction of olefin-tethered aryl iodides and an intermolecular Heck reaction with substituted styrenes and α,β-unsaturated ketones. As a result, a series of desired products were obtained in moderate to good yields and with exclusive E-form selectivities.

Abstract
Chiral organophosphorous compounds are very important in catalysis, organic syntheses, and medicinal chemistry. However, catalytic enantioselective protocols for the axially chiral allenyl phosphorus compounds have never been reported. Herein, a palladium-catalyzed enantioselective carbon-phosphorus bond formation reaction affording axially chiral allenyl phosphonates has been developed. The reaction enjoys high yields and ees accommodating a wide range of functional groups. Mechanistic studies have unveiled an overwhelming kinetic resolution process.

Abstract
Catalytic asymmetric synthesis of chiral endocyclic allenes remains a challenge in allene chemistry owing to unfavored tension and complex chirality. Here, we present a new relay strategy merging Pd-catalyzed asymmetric [3+2] annulation with enyne-Cope rearrangement, providing a facile route to chiral 9-membered endocyclic allenes with high efficiency and enantioselectivity. Moreover, theoretical calculations and experimental studies were performed to illustrate the critical, but unusual Cope rearrangement that allows for the complete central-to-axial chirality transfer.

Abstract
Medium-sized heterocycles are widespread among a spectrum of structurally intriguing and biologically significant natural products and synthetic pharmaceuticals. Metal-catalyzed high-order dipolar annulations resembling reactions of metal-containing reactive dipoles with dipolarophiles constitute a highly efficient and flexible strategy for constructing medium-sized heterocycles. Mechanistically, these annulation reactions usually proceeding through stepwise pathways are different from the classic high-order pericyclic reactions that follow the Woodward-Hoffman rules. More significantly, asymmetric high-order dipolar annulations using chiral organometallic catalysts have been proven successful for constructing chiral medium-sized heterocycles with high enantio- and diastereoselectivity. This review highlights the impressive advances in this area and is focused on the reactivity, scope, mechanisms and applications of high-order dipolar annulation reactions.

Abstract
A highly efficient method for the synthesis of aryl substituted conjugated enediynes and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes via selective cross-coupling reactions of 1,1-dibromoethylenes with alkynylaluminums using the Pd(OAc)2-DPPE and Pd2(dba)3-TFP complexes as catalysts, respectively, has been successfully developed. Though the alkyl substituted conjugated enediynes and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes were not obtained, this case is also remarkable as the same starting materials could selectively produce either aryl substituted conjugated enediynes or unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes in moderate to excellent yields (up to 99%) in the different Pd-phosphine catalytic systems.

Abstract
We describe a general and efficient protocol for the synthesis of organophosphine compounds from phenols and phosphines (R2PH) via a metal-free C-O bond cleavage and C-P bond formation process. This approach exhibits broad substrate scope and excellent functional group tolerance. The synthetic utilities of this protocol were demonstrated by the synthesis of chiral ligands via the various transformations of cyano groups and their applications in asymmetric catalysis.
