Abstract
We report the photocatalyzed three-component alkene 1,2-alkylpyridylation reaction between alkylboronic acids, 4-cyanopyridine, and an olefin to achieve the pyridination and alkylation of the olefin and the synthesis of structurally diversified 4-alkylpyridines. The readily available and easily manipulated alkylboronic acids were used as alkyl radical precursors. The reactions take place under mild conditions with a broad substrate scope and are easy to scale up to gram level, and they are therefore of potential practical value for the synthesis and structural modification of biologically active alkylpyridine derivatives.

Abstract
Visible-light-induced three-component 1,2-alkyl-arylation of alkenes and alkyl radical addition/cyclization of acrylamides have been realized via a photocatalytic halogen-atom transfer (XAT) process. This metal-free protocol utilizes readily available tertiary alkylamine as both an electron donor and an XAT reagent for the activation of alkyl halides using naphthalimide (NI)-based organic photocatalysts. This process features broad substrate scope and good functional group tolerance under mild conditions, and could be effectively applied to a variety of medicinally relevant substrates.

Abstract
Herein, we report a highly efficient Ag(I)-catalyzed indolyzation with Friedel-Crafts alkylation through a cascade cyclization strategy for accessing valuable hybrid heterocycles for the first time. This general strategy consists of forming four C-C/C-N/C-O bonds toward dual annulation reactions of 2-alkynylanilines with methyl benzoate-2-carboxaldehydes and aromatic amines, as well as with salicylaldehydes and malononitrile. Variably substituted new indolo-4H-phthalimidines and indolo-4H-chromenes were synthesized with excellent yields (85-93%) under mild reaction conditions.
