The Structure, Assembly Processes of Microbial Communities and Their Effects on the Quality of Goat MEAT During Chilled Storage (4 °C). Foods 2025; 14:1653. Abstract
Microbial community succession is closely related to the corruption of meat, but there are few studies on microbial community assembly and their relationship with physicochemical indexes in meat during chilled storage (4 °C). This study aimed to investigate the mechanism of bacterial community assembly and the effect of microbial succession on quality changes during the preservation of goat meat. The results showed that the stochastic process was the primary driving mechanism during community construction. During the chilled storage, the predominant bacteria in the three groups at the genus level were Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas. With the extension of storage duration, the relative abundance of Pseudomonas in samples from local markets and slaughterhouses increased rapidly and gradually acted as dominant flora during the succession process. Spearman correlation analysis revealed that Pseudomonas exhibited a highly significant positive association with total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N) and a highly significant negative correlation with redness (p < 0.01), which is crucial in the degradation of meat quality. These results provide guidance for regulating the microbial communities of goat meat during preservation by optimizing the storage conditions to delay the deterioration of goat meat.

Abstract
The exploration of a ring expansion reaction from indole cyclopentanone to generate a range of diversely functionalized 4-hydroxyl carbazole frameworks, representing the core structure of numerous carbazole alkaloids, has been conducted under mild reaction conditions. This approach exhibits broad functional group tolerance and moderate to good yields. The practical applicability of this strategy has been demonstrated through the concise syntheses of carbazomycins A, D, and G.

Abstract
Carbazole is a heterocyclic motif that can be found in a diverse array of natural and unnatural products displaying a wide range of biological and physiological properties. Furthermore, this heterocycle is part of electronic materials like photoconducting polymers and organic optoelectronic materials owing to its excellent photophysical characteristics. Consequently, the development of synthetic strategies for carbazole scaffolds holds potential significance in biological and material fields. In this regard, a variety of preparation methods has been developed to exploit their efficient and distinct formation of new C-C and C-heteroatom bonds under mild conditions and enabling broad substrate diversity and functional group tolerance. Therefore, this review focuses on the synthesis of a set of carbazole derivatives describing a variety of methodologies that involve direct irradiation, photosensitization, photoredox, electrochemical and thermal cyclization reactions.

Abstract
A novel strategy for the preparation of functional carbazoles through NaI-catalyzed formal [4 + 2] annulation of 2-(indol-3-yl)cyclohexanones and alkynes/alkenes has been developed. The present approach started from easily available raw materials and provided a variety of tetrahydrobenzo[c]carbazolones in satisfactory yields under metal- and solvent-free conditions. Furthermore, the products could be further transformed into structurally valuable carbazole-based conjugated derivatives.

Abstract
An iridium-catalyzed redox-neutral C-2 and C-3 dual C-H functionalization of indoles with nitrones has been developed, furnishing a range of 7H-indolo[2,3-c]quinolines with high efficiency and regioselectivity under mild reaction conditions. Notably, sequential multiple C-H bond cleavage and C-C bond formation constitute the key events of this process, in which nitrone serves as a building block and an oxidant. Distinct from the previous methods toward 7H-indolo[2,3-c]quinolines, this newly developed reaction features readily available substrates, operational simplicity, broad scope, good to high efficiency, and excellent regioselectivity.

Abstract
p-TsOH catalyzed Diels-Alder reaction of 2-(1-alkylindol-3-yl)naphthalene-1,4-diones and 3-phenacylideneoxindoles showed fascinating diastereoselectivity. The reaction with the hydrated p-TsOH afforded trans-isomers of dihydrospiro[indoline-3,6'-naphtho[2,3-c]carbazoles] as major products. Alternatively, the reaction with anhydrous p-TsOH under a Dean and Stark apparatus predominately gave cis-isomer of dihydrospiro[indoline-3,6'-naphtho[2,3-c]carbazoles]. On the other hand, the similar p-TsOH catalyzed reaction of 2-(indol-3-yl)naphthalene-1,4-diones with 3-arylideneindolin-2-ones afforded cis/trans-isomers of dihydrospiro[indoline-3,6'-naphtho[2,3-c]carbazoles]. Additionally, the p-TsOH catalyzed reaction of 2-(indol-3-yl)naphthalene-1,4-diones with 2-arylidene-1,3-indanediones gave the expected spiro[indene-2,6'-naphtho[2,3-c]carbazoles] in satisfactory yields.
