Abstract
The first example of the visible light-driven and substrate-promoted three-component alkenyltrifluoromethylation of alkenes is developed. This approach uses easily available alkenes, 2-arylamino-1,4-naphthoquinones and Togni reagent as the reactants, and describes good functionality tolerance. The reaction offers a precise synthesis of valuable CF3-functionalized 1,4-naphthoquinones and can be applied in late-stage modification of natural products and pharmaceuticals. Experimental results imply that bifunctional 2-arylamino-1,4-naphthoquinones serve as both substrates and catalysts. In terms of this autocatalytic system, the protocol enables a straightforward intermolecular difunctionalization of alkenes under visible light irradiation without external catalysts.

Abstract
Rapid construction of functionalized aza-anthraquinones has been successfully developed via NHC-catalyzed formal [3 + 3] annulation of 2-aminoquinones with enals. This reaction features several advantages, such as readily available starting materials, mild reaction conditions, and flexible product transformations. The study on the atroposelective version of this strategy was also carried out, and several C-N axial chiral aza-anthraquinones were synthesized in moderate yields with moderate to good enantioselectivities.

Abstract
Simple and practical strategies for visible-light-induced C-H alkylation of 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinones with cyclobutanone oxime esters and hydroxamic acid derivatives have been developed under mild and redox-neutral conditions. These two reactions can be carried out at room temperature and obtain a variety of 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinone derivatives with cyano and amide groups. Moreover, the cyanoalkylation reaction of 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinones can proceed smoothly in the absence of photocatalysts.

Abstract
A novel sustainable methodology based on one-pot cyanoalkylation/cyanoalkenylation of 2-anilino-1,4-naphthoquinones with vinylarenes/arylalkynes and azobis(alkylcarbonitrile)s involving a three-component radical cascade pathway has been achieved. Here, tert-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP) acts as an efficient oxidant, and it smoothly drives the reaction, producing the three-component products in very good to excellent yields. This cascade reaction eliminates the use of any base, additive, metal and hazardous cyanating agent. Additionally, this protocol exclusively delivers a stereospecific product in the case of arylalkynes. The involvement of radicals is evidenced through various radical trapping experiments.

Abstract
The first Fe-catalyzed three-component radical trifluoromethyl-alkenylation of alkenes with 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinones and CF3SO2Na is reported. The developed reaction enables the highly regioselective preparation of a variety of valuable CF3-substituted 1,4-naphthoquinones in acceptable yields. In the light of the catalytic system, alkynes smoothly afford the corresponding three- or four-component trifluoromethyl-alkenylation products. This protocol features use of easily available and inexpensive reagents, broad substrate scope, and simple reaction conditions.

Abstract
The formation of enamine from primary arylamines was detected and confirmed by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The presence of a radical quencher, e.g., (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yl)oxidanyl, was found to be essential for the detection of enamine formation. A direct synthesis of α-enaminones from primary arylamines and ketones was also developed. Mechanistic investigation of α-enaminone formation suggests that an amine radical cation generated through O2 singlet energy transfer was involved in initiating α-enaminone formation. The reactivity and utility of α-enaminones were explored with a [3+3] cycloaddition reaction of enones affording dihydropyridines in good yields (58-85%). α-Enaminones displayed a set of reactivities that is different from that of enamines. The knowledge gained in this work advances our basic understanding of organic chemistry, providing insights and new opportunities in enamine catalysis.

Abstract
The synthesis, structure and catalytic activity of a benzene-bridged divanadium complex were comprehensively studied. The reduction of (Nacnac)VCl2 (1) (Nacnac = (2,6-iPr2C6H3NCMe)2HC) supported by β-diketiminate with potassium graphite (KC8) by employing benzene as the solvent allows access to the benzene-bridged inverted-sandwich divanadium complex (μ-η6:η6-C6H6)[V(Nacnac)]2 (2a), which can catalyze alkene alkylarylation with hypervalent iodine(iii) reagents (HIRs) via decarboxylation to generate regioselectively diverse indolinones. Furthermore, the mild nature of this reaction was amenable to a wide range of functionalities on alkenes and HIRs. Mechanistic studies revealed a relay sequence of decarboxylative radical alkylation/radical arylation/oxidative re-aromatization.

Abstract
A copper-catalyzed one-pot amine-alkylation of quinones with amines and alkanes in the presence of di-tert-butyl peroxide (DTBP) was developed via a radical reaction process. Various alkanes and aromatic or aliphatic amines with diverse structures and electronic properties are suitable substrates, and the chirality of amines can be maintained for the transformation. This method has high step and atom economy for straightforward access to aminated and alkylated quinones from readily available starting materials.

Abstract
A simple and practical photochemical strategy for intermolecular perfluoroalkyl-alkenylation of alkenes with 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinones and perfluoroalkyl iodides has been demonstrated under visible-light irradiation. Mechanistic studies reveal that easily available 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinone substrates can serve as efficient photosensitizers to activate perfluoroalkyl iodides through a photoredox process. Therefore, the developed radical relay reaction proceeds smoothly without additional transition metals and photocatalysts.

Abstract
A copper-catalysed cascade ester amidation/radical cyclization of 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinones with α-bromocarboxylates to afford benzo[f]indole-2,4,9(3H)-triones is described, and the reaction has a broad substrate scope and the desired products are obtained in mostly moderate to good yields. Mechanism-probing experiments indicate that the otherwise challenging radical coupling reaction of α-bromocarboxylates with 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinones is facilitated by a 5-endo radical cyclization.
