Abstract
An elegant and highly concise strategy for the construction of coumarin-functionalized pyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines from available propargylamines and isoquinolinium N-ylides has been disclosed. In this reaction, isoquinolinium N-ylides acted as a C2 synthon to form a coumarin ring as well as a 1,3-dipole to construct a pyrrole ring in a single pot. This cascade process involves 1,4-conjugate addition/lactonization/1,3-dipolar cycloaddition to construct four chemical bonds (one C-O bond and three C-C bonds) and two new heterocyclic skeletons. Additionally, most of these compounds showed good fluorescence properties and exhibited high molar extinction coefficient and large Stokes shifts.

Abstract
A copper-catalyzed [3 + 2] annulation of O-acyl oximes with 4-sulfonamidophenols is developed. The advantage of this method lies in the concurrent double activation of two substrates to form nucleophilic enamines and electrophilic quinone monoimines. The substituent on the α-carbon of O-acyl oxime determines two different reaction pathways, thereby leading to the selective generation of 5-sulfonamidoindoles and 2-amido-5-sulfonamidobenzofuran-3(2H)-ones.

Abstract
A (3+2) cycloaddition of heteroaromatic N-ylides with sulfenes, which are generated in situ from sulfonyl chlorides, has been developed. A variety of ylides were transformed into the corresponding sulfone-embedded N-fused heterocycles in high yields. Hexafluoroisopropyl mesylate was demonstrated to be a suitable reactant for quinolinium ylides. Furthermore, this cycloaddition could be performed with an ylide prepared by a Cu-catalyzed ylide transfer reaction in a one-pot manner, extending the substrate scope to an unisolable ylide.

Abstract
[3 + 2] Cycloaddition reactions of heteroaromatic N-ylides with electron-deficient olefins have been developed. The heteroaromatic N-ylides, in situ generated from N-phenacylbenzothiazolium bromides, can smoothly react with maleimides under very mild conditions, affording fused polycyclic octahydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrroles in good-to-excellent isolated yields. This reaction concept could also be extended to 3-trifluoroethylidene oxindoles and benzylidenemalononitriles as electron-deficient olefins for accessing highly functionalized polyheterocyclic compounds. A gram-scale experiment was also carried out to verify the practicability of the methodology.

Abstract
Herein we describe the divergent synthesis of two types of indolizines via construction of the pyrrole moiety from pyridine-2-acetonitriles, arylglyoxals, and TMSCN. While one-pot three-component coupling provided 2-aryl-3-aminoindolizines via an unusual fragmentation process, a sequential two-step assembly protocol with these starting materials allowed efficient access to a wide range of new 2-acyl-3-aminoindolizines through an aldol condensation-Michael addition-cycloisomerization process. The subsequent manipulation of 2-acyl-3-aminoindolizines enabled direct access to novel polycyclic N-fused heteroaromatic skeletons.

Abstract
A copper-catalyzed annulation of O-acyl oximes with cyclic 1,3-diones has been developed for the concise synthesis of 7,8-dihydroindolizin-5(6H)-ones and cyclohexanone-fused furans through the substituent-controlled selective radical coupling process. 2-Alkyl cyclic 1,3-diones undergo C-C radical coupling, while 2-unsubstituted cyclic 1,3-diones undergo C-O radical coupling.
