Abstract
In this study, we develop the synthesis methods of fluoroalkenes and fluoroenynes via Suzuki-Miyaura and Sonogashira cross-coupling reactions using novel multihalogenated fluorovinyl ethers, which are easily prepared from the reaction between phenols and 2-bromo-2-chloro-1,1,1-trifluoroethane (halothane). These reactions make use of the unique structure of multihalogenated fluorovinyl ethers, which contains a reactive bromine atom, to afford a series of fluoroalkenes and fluoroenynes in moderate to high yields.

Abstract
A base-mediated regioselective [3 + 3] annulation of alkylidene malononitriles with trifluoromethyl alkenes was described. The reaction proceeds through sequential intermolecular SN2' and intramolecular SNV-type cyclization by cleaving dual C-F bonds in a trifluoromethyl group, which discriminate multiple carbon-nucleophilic sites using a single base. Various bicycles bearing a monofluorocyclohexene motif were assembled from readily available starting materials under mild conditions via a one-pot cascade approach.

Abstract
The synthesis of difluoromethyl-containing compounds exploiting the deoxofluorination reaction of aromatic aldehydes using XtalFluor-E is described. This transformation occurs at room temperature under highly concentrated conditions, i.e., with no added solvent. A wide range of difluoromethyl-containing compounds was obtained in 21 to 87% isolated yields.

Abstract
Fluorinated compounds have found widespread applications in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and materials science. Precise construction of α-difluoromethylene ether (CF2-O) moiety in organic molecules is of high demand. Herein, a visible light-promoted reaction protocol for the synthesis of α-difluoromethylene ether from gem-difluorocyclopropane is described. The key ring-opening step is induced by hyperconjugative interaction of cyclopropane with photo-oxidized aromatic rings. This reaction is easy scale-up, and the products bearing a synthetic handle enable their further manipulation.

Abstract
The highly selective synthesis of spirobiindanes, alkenyl chlorides, and monofluoroalkenes via the cleavage of inert C(sp3)–F bonds in unactivated gem-difluoroalkanes using readily available and inexpensive aluminum-based Lewis acids of low toxicity is reported. The selectivity of this reaction can be controlled by modifying the substituents on the central aluminum atom of the promoter. An intramolecular cascade Friedel-Crafts alkylation of unactivated gem-difluorocarbons can be achieved using a stoichiometric amount of AlCl3. The subsequent synthesis of alkenyl chlorides via F/Cl exchange followed by an elimination can be accomplished using AlEt2Cl as a fluoride scavenger and halogen source. The defluorinative elimination of acyclic and cyclic gem-difluorocarbons to give monofluoroalkenes can be achieved using AlEt3.

Abstract
The transition to more economically friendly small-chain fluorinated groups is leading to a resurgence in the synthesis and reactivity of fluoroalkenes. One versatile method to obtain a variety of commercially relevant hydrofluoroalkenes involves the catalytic hydrodefluorination (HDF) of fluoroalkenes using silanes. In this work it is shown that copper hydride complexes of tertiary phosphorus ligands (L) can be tuned to achieve selective multiple HDF of fluoroalkenes. In one example, HDF of the hexafluoropropene dimer affords a single isomer of heptafluoro-2-methylpentene in which five fluorines have been selectively replaced with hydrogens. DFT computational studies suggest a distinct HDF mechanisms for L2CuH (bidentate or bulky monodentate phosphines) and L3CuH (small cone angle monodentate phosphines) catalysts, allowing for stereocontrol of the HDF of trifluoroethylene.

Abstract
XtalFluor-E® has been extensively used in a broad range of reactions in the past few years. Here we report its use with protic nucleophiles in a catalytic manner for the in situ generation of protons that lead to the proto-functionalization of activated olefins. Utilizing the latter protocol, proto etherification of enamides gives rise to N,O-acetals in nearly quantitative yields.
