Abstract
Herein, a palladium-catalyzed bicycloaromatization of o-(alkynyl)styrenes with alkynes is reported. In this protocol, the 6-endo-dig cyclization of o-(alkynyl)styrenes is followed by deprotonation to complete the first cycloaromatization, and then, a regioselective alkyne insertion/C-H activation occurs to achieve the second cycloaromatization, resulting in atom- and step-economical syntheses of polysubstituted chrysenes. Notably, the products can be further used to construct π-extended arenes using the Scholl reaction.

Abstract
A mild Pd-catalyzed three-component cascade cyclization functionalization of o-iodostyrenes, internal alkynes and boron reagents is presented. The transformation is driven by a controlled reaction sequence of intermolecular carbopalladation, intramolecular Heck-type cyclization, and a borylation process to give versatile boryl-functionalized indene skeletons in a selective fashion. Significantly, (Bpin)2, (Bneop)2 and CH2(Bpin)2 as boron sources are all tolerated. Additionally, the synthetic utility of this approach is demonstrated by gram-scale synthesis and synthetic transformations.

Abstract
A novel domino cycloisomerization of 1,3-dien-5-ynes for the synthesis of 7H-benzo[7]annulenes is reported. The noticeable feature of this domino reaction involves the assembly of the fused bicyclic motifs through a transamidation/5-exo-trig cyclization/8π-electrocyclization sequence in a single step. Finally, mechanistic investigations were conducted experimentally and supported by DFT calculations.

Abstract
Alkyne aminopalladation reactions starting from tosylamides are reported. The emerging vinylic Pd species are converted either in an intramolecular Heck reaction with olefinic units or in an intermolecular Suzuki reaction by using boronic acids exhibiting broad functional group tolerance. Tetra(hetero)substituted tosylated enamines are obtained in a simple one-pot process.

Abstract
A mild, step-economical method for the synthesis of highly conjugated functionalized 2-pyridones from N-(furan-2-ylmethyl) alkyne amides is reported. This method involves Pd-catalyzed aerobic oxidative dicarbonation reactions of alkynes with carbon nucleophiles of a furan ring and an acrylate or styrene as coupling partners. The UV-vis absorption spectra of some of the 2-pyridones indicated that they absorbed shortwave radiation, suggesting their potential utility for filtration of such radiation.

Abstract
A chiral aluminum complex controlled, enantioselective nickel-catalyzed domino reaction of aryl nitriles and alkynes proceeding by C-CN bond activation was developed. The reaction provides various indenes, bearing chiral all-carbon quaternary centers, under mild reaction conditions in yields of 32 to 91 % and ee values within the 73-98 % range. The reaction mechanism and aspects of stereocontrol were investigated by DFT calculations.

Abstract
A novel TBPB-initiated cascade cyclization of 3-arylethynyl-[1,1'-biphenyl]-2-carbonitriles with sulfinic acids via C-S, C-C and C-N bond formation for the synthesis of 3-sulfonated cyclopenta[gh]phenanthridines under metal-free conditions has been developed. This protocol features mild conditions, good functional group tolerance and a broad substrate scope. By using this protocol, a variety of potentially bioactive 3-sulfonated cyclopenta[gh]phenanthridines were facilely synthesized via direct annulation.
