Abstract
Catalytic enantioselective 1,2-addition reactions of arylboronic acids with 1,2,5-thiadiazoline 1,1-dioxide derivatives were achieved using planar-chiral phosphine-olefin ligand L5 with a bis[(2,3,4,5,6-pentafluoro)phenyl]phosphino group, showing ≤98% ee. The enantioselectivities of the addition products were improved by increasing the number of fluoro substituents on the aromatic ring of the ligand. X-ray crystallographic studies of 3aa and [RhCl/L5]2 revealed the absolute configuration of the enantioenriched addition product 3 and the mode of phosphine-olefin bidentate coordination of L5 to a rhodium(I) cation.

Abstract
A relay catalytic protocol using pyrrolidine and palladium catalysis has been developed for asymmetric synthesis of 1,3-diamine derivatives from 3-substituted 1,3-dienes, sulfuric diamide, and aldehydes. This one-pot, three-component reaction features the advantages of a high atom step economy and operational simplicity, providing an efficient and straightforward access to valuable 1,3-diamines incorporating quaternary and tertiary stereogenic centers with moderate to good enantioselectivity.

Abstract
1,3-Diamines are an important class of compounds that are broadly found in natural products and are also widely used as building blocks in organic synthesis. Although the intramolecular C-H amination of N-alkylsulfamide derivatives is a reliable method for the construction of 1,3-diamine structures, the majority of these methods involve the use of a transition-metal catalyst. We herein report on a new transition-metal-free method using tert-butyl hypoiodite (t-BuOI) or N-iodosuccinimide (NIS), enabling secondary non-benzylic and tertiary C-H amination reactions to proceed. The cyclic sulfamide products can be easily transformed into 1,3-diamines. Mechanistic investigations revealed that amination reactions using t-BuOI or NIS each proceed via different pathways.

Abstract
The regioselective γ-C-H amination of the side-chain of saturated 2-alkyl nitrogen heterocycles is reported, proceeding through a sulfamide-directed 1,6-radical translocation. The practicality of this rapid access to 1,3-diamines is highlighted in a short synthesis of the alkaloid tetraponerine T8 and non-natural analogues.

Abstract
The combination of Pd(TFA)2 and an N,N'-disulfonyl bisimidazoline ligand shows high catalytic activity and excellent asymmetric induction in the addition of arylboronic acids to cyclic N-sulfonyl ketimines including benzo[d]isothiazole-1,1-dioxides, benzo[e][1,2,3]oxathiazine-2,2-dioxides, and 1,2,5-thiadiazole-1,1-dioxides, by which three types of chiral quaternary carbon-containing sultams with substantial substitution diversity were synthesized with high yields and excellent enantioselectivities (up to >99% ee). The current catalysis demonstrated a remarkable tolerance to oxygen and thus provided an operationally simple approach for constructing enantioenriched cyclic quaternary stereocenters.

Abstract
New chiral bicyclic imines, enamines and amines were prepared via Horner–Wadsworth–Emmons reaction of hexahydroquinoxalin-2(1H)-one-derived phosphonate, as the source of a phosphonate carbanion, and a wide range of structurally diverse carbonyl substrates. The simplicity of the synthetic protocol, high selectivity, and broad substrate scope are the main advantages of the presented methodology. New chiral cyclic imines and enamines were prepared via HWE reaction, with selectivity dependent on the carbonyl substrate.![]()
