Abstract
A toroidal moment can be generated spontaneously in inorganic (atom-based) ferrotoroidic materials that breaks both time-reversal and space-inversion symmetries, attracting great attention in solid-state chemistry and physics. In the field of molecular magnetism, it can also be achieved in lanthanide (Ln) involved metal-organic complexes usually with a wheel-shaped topological structure. Such complexes are called single-molecule toroics (SMTs), presenting unique advantages in spin chirality qubits and magnetoelectric coupling. However, to date, the synthetic strategies of SMTs have remained elusive, and the covalently bonded three-dimensional (3D) extended SMT has not hitherto been synthesized. Here, two luminescent Tb(iii)-calixarene aggregates with architectures of 1D chain (1) and 3D network (2) both containing the square Tb4 unit have been prepared. Their SMT characteristics deriving from the toroidal arrangement of the local magnetic anisotropy axes of Tb(iii) ions in the Tb4 unit have been investigated experimentally with the support of ab initio calculations. To the best of our knowledge, 2 is the first covalently bonded 3D SMT polymer. Remarkably, solvato-switching of SMT behavior has also been achieved for the first time by desolvation and solvation processes of 1.

Abstract
Herein, an unprecedented monomeric bowl-like coordination complex, Ti12PgC3 (PgC3 = C-propylpyrogallol[4]arene), has been successfully synthesized. To the best of our knowledge, Ti12PgC3 not only presents the first pyrogallol[4]arene-based titanium coordination complex, but also the highest nuclearity titanium coordination complex in the metal-calixarene system. In addition, this titanium coordination complex can effectively degrade the methylene blue (MB) dye under sunlight.

Abstract
Combinations of six new tetrakis-pyrazolyl appended calix[4]arenes derivatives, blocked in 1,3-A conformation as coordinating tectons, with AgX salts (X = NO3−, BF4−, XF6− (X = P, As and Sb)) lead to nine new silver coordination networks.

Abstract
Three new organic tectons (2–4) based on the p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene backbone, blocked in the 1,3-alternate conformation, bearing four pyridyl coordinating moieties, have been synthesised and characterised in the solid state. The ligands are positional isomers and differ by the position of the N atom on the pyridyl unit (ortho for 2, meta for 3 and para for 4). Their combination with the Ag+ cation leads, reproducibly, to the formation of 2- and 3-D infinite silver coordination networks. Independent of the nature of the anion, the combination of 2 offering four (N,S) type chelates with the Ag+ cation affords an unprecedented diamond type 3D network. Both 3 and 4, behaving as tetrakis monodentate ligands, lead to the formation of 2-D architectures.

Abstract
A dodecaholmium wheel of [Ho12(L)6(mal)4(AcO)4(H2O)14] (1; mal = malonate) was synthesized by using p-tert-butylsulfonylcalix[4]arene (H4L) as a cluster-forming ligand. The wheel consists of three fragments of mononuclear A3- ([Ho(L)(mal)(H2O)]3-), trinuclear B3- ([Ho(H2O)2(mal)(Ho(L)(AcO))2]3-), and C3+ ([Ho(H2O)2]3+), and an alternate arrangement of these fragments (A(3-)-C(3+)-B(3-)-C(3+)-A(3-)-C(3+)-B(3-)-C(3+)-) results in a wheel structure. The longest and shortest diameters of the core were estimated to be 17.7562(16) and 13.6810(13) A, respectively, and the saddle-shaped molecule possesses a pocketlike cavity inside.

Abstract
Dinuclear and cubane-shaped lanthanide cluster complexes containing EuIII)and TbIII were synthesized by step-by-step construction using p-tert-butylsulfonylcalix[4]arene as a cluster-forming ligand. The sulfonylcalixarene adopts a pinched-cone conformation in the dinuclear complexes and a cone conformation in the cubane complexes. Because the calixarene has a large pi-conjugate system expanding over the entire molecule, it behaves as a good antenna chromophore for UV and near-UV light, and a slight conformational change of the calixarene (from cone to pinched-cone and vice versa) has an effect on the energy levels of excited S1 and T1 states. As a result, selectivity is observed in the luminescent properties of dinuclear and cubane-shaped systems of EuIII and TbIII.
