Abstract
1,3-Enynes have demonstrated their utility as valuable precursors to furnish a diverse range of heterocycles and carbocycles. Their unique structural characteristics enable a new toolbox to introduce requisite complexity in the molecular framework. Cyclization reaction is usually a simple and straightforward way to afford complex organic frameworks. Herein, we collated versatile cyclization strategies that have been developed by employing 1,3-enynes for the synthesis of heterocyclic and carbocyclic scaffolds. Divergent synthesis and mechanistic perspectives to define stereo-, regio- and chemo-selective outcomes of such reactions have also been highlighted.

Abstract
Compared with the well-developed cyclization of functionalized propargylamines, the use of unactivated tertiary propargylamines to access pyrroles remains challenging. Herein, we report an efficient method for constructing tetrasubstituted pyrroles via a DBU-mediated intramolecular cycloaddition of N-alkyl propargylamines. This reaction employs cyclization to access dihydropyrrole intermediates, followed by oxidation to produce pyrroles in the presence of 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-p-benzoquinone. In addition, a broad substrate scope, high atom economy, high selectivity, and simple operation are also advantages of this protocol.

Abstract
Efficiently constructing structurally diverse and complex organic molecules through selective catalytic functionalization is a central goal in synthetic chemistry, yet achieving precise control over multiple reactive centers in multisite substrates remains a formidable challenge. Building on foundational advances in single- and dual-selective transformations, we report a multimodal strategy for the selective carbonylation of 1,3-enynes, a versatile class of multisite substrates. Through meticulous fine-tuning of the catalytic conditions, our approach enables five distinct regio- and stereoselective carbonylative transformations, including direct functionalization (1,2- and 2,1-hydroaminocarbonylation) and tandem cyclization pathways (2,4-, 1,3-, and 2,3-carbonylation). Furthermore, mechanistic studies suggested that multidimensional precise regulation enables the seamless relay of up to three tandem reactions (hydroaminocarbonylation-hydroamination-transamination) with exceptional accuracy. This unified platform not only establishes a robust framework for tackling the enduring challenges of selectivity control in multisite substrates but also broadens the chemical space accessible through 1,3-enyne transformations, exemplifying atom- and step-economic principles and paving the way for transformative advancements in drug discovery, materials science, and beyond.

Abstract
A Pd(II)-catalyzed non-template synthesis of furo[2,3-b]pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyridines from β-ketodinitriles and buta-1,3-diynes has been accomplished via dual annulative cyclization. The participation of both the nitrile (-CN) groups led to the concurrent construction of three heterocycles viz. furan, pyrrole, and pyridine forming C-C, C=C, C-O, C-N, and C=N bonds in one pot. The synthetic utility of the protocol was further demonstrated through a few post-synthetic manipulations.

Abstract
Pyrrole derivatives are known as building blocks for the synthesis of biological compounds and pharmaceutical drugs. Several processes were employed to synthesize pyrroles, including Hantzsch, Paal-Knorr, and cycloaddition of dicarbonyl compounds reaction. Using catalysts like nanoparticles, metal salts, and heterogeneous ones was necessary to obtain the targeted pyrrole structure. Also, to afford more active pyrrole compounds, heterocyclic molecules such as imidazole or other rings were used in the synthesis as amines. This review presents heterogeneous catalysts since 2010 for the green synthesis of bioactive pyrroles in a one-pot multi-component reaction. Additionally, each synthetic method included a demonstration of the suggested mechanisms. Diakylacetylenedicarboxylate, dicarbonyl group, amines, furans, and acetylene group are consolidated to yield biological pyrroles through the heterogeneous catalysts. Finally, various pyrrole-performed activities were displayed, such as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and other significant activities.

Abstract
Aromatic N-heterocycles, such as pyrroles and pyridines, are important natural products and bulk and fine chemicals with numerous applications as active ingredients of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals, as catalysts, and in materials sciences. We report here a catalytic version of the Knorr pyrrole synthesis in which simple and diversely available starting materials, such as 1,2-amino alcohols or 1,3-amino alcohols and keto esters, undergo a dehydrogenative coupling to form pyrroles and pyridines, respectively. Our reaction forms hydrogen as a collectible (and usable) byproduct and is mediated by a well-defined Mn catalyst. The synthesis of highly functionalized heterocycles and applications was demonstrated, and 35 compounds, not yet reported in the literature, were introduced.

Abstract
Here, we report a set of new polymerization reactions enabled by the 1,2-regioselective hydro- and silylcupration of enyne-type propargylic electrophiles. Highly regioregular head-to-tail poly(2-butyne-1,4-diyl)s (HT-PBD), bearing either methyl or silylmethyl side chains, are synthesized for the first time. A rapid entry into carbon-rich copolymers with adjustable silicon content is developed via in situ monomer bifurcation. Furthermore, a one-pot polymerization/semireduction sequence is developed to access a cis-poly(butadiene)-derived backbone by a ligand swap on copper hydride species. Interestingly, borocupration, typically exhibiting identical regioselectivity with its hydro- and silyl analogues, seems to proceed in a 3,4-selective manner. Computational studies suggest the possible role of the propargylic leaving group in this selectivity switch. This work presents a new class of regioregular sp-carbon-rich polymers and meanwhile a novel approach to organosilicon materials.

Abstract
We report a photoinduced decarbonylative rearrangement of diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octenone in the facile synthesis of a functionalized diazabicyclo[4.1.0]heptene skeleton, a unique derivative of the hydropyridazine type structure which could be found in a variety of biologically active natural products. The scope of functional group compatibility in the photoreaction was examined by taking advantage of the easy access of the heterobicyclo[2.2.2] structure from the Diels-Alder reaction of masked o-benzoquinones. 4-Phenyl-1,2,4-triazoline-3,5-dione served as the dienophile which provided the adjacent N-N unit in hexahydropyridazine-type products of subsequent photorearrangement.

Abstract
An efficient, tandem one-pot approach to synthesize multisubstituted 2-acylpyrroles from readily prepared N-tosyl triazoles and 2-hydroxymethylallyl carbonates is reported. The reaction proceeds via Rh(II)-catalyzed O-H insertion, [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement, Pd(0)-catalyzed oxidative addition, intramolecular cyclization, DBU-promoted E1cB elimination, double bond isomerization, and aromatization, enabling the disconnection and formation of multiple bonds in one reactor. The approach represents a highly regioselective way to access di-, tri-, and tetra-substituted NH pyrroles with high efficiency.

Abstract
A new metal-free synthesis of pyrrole from allyl ketone and amine has been established. The reaction proceeds via an thiolative activation of the C-C double bond with dimethyl(methylthio)sulfonium trifluoromethanesulfonate, followed by a nucleophilic ring-opening addition of primary amine to the generated episulfonium intermediate, and then an internal condensation and aromatization. This mild procedure provides a novel strategy to the construction of substituted pyrroles through a formal [4 + 1] cycloaddition reaction.

Abstract
A copper(I)-catalyzed tandem reaction of 2-bromoaryl ketones, terminal alkynes, and CH3CN is developed, which combines N atom transfer and three-component [3 + 2 + 1] cyclization, and efficiently produces densely functionalized isoquinolines in a facile, highly selective, and general manner. In the reaction, the formation of aromatic C-N bonds along with the complete C-N triple bond cleavage is first realized; Cu(III)-acetylide species might serve as the intermediates, which allow highly selective 6-endo-dig cyclization.

Abstract
A new strategy for the construction of functionalized 2-amino-3-cyano pyrroles has been developed. The reactions involved a copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddtion reaction between terminal alkynes and sulfonyl azides followed by generation of N-sulfonoketenimine intermediates. Interception of these reactive ketenimines by phenacylmalononitriles in the presence of copper(I) iodide and Et3N afforded the expected products. The reaction proceeded smoothly in THF at ambient temperature to afford the target compounds in 70-92% yields and excellent regioselectivity. Evidence for the structure of a typical product is obtained from single-crystal X-ray analyses.

Abstract
An attractive method for assembling densely substituted pyridine derivatives from 1-methyl-1,3-(ar)enynes and nitriles via a formal [4+2] cycloaddition has been established. The well-balanced affinities of two alkali metal salts enable C(sp3)-H bond activation and excellent chemo- and regioselectivities. Experimental studies revealed that nitrile functions only as a partial nitrogen source for pyridine synthesis, and the addition of a metalated imine intermediate to an intramolecular alkyne is the rate-limiting step.

Abstract
Herein, the copper-catalyzed annulation of enaminones with alkynyl esters for the facile synthesis of different pyrroles with a 2,3,4,5-tetrasubstituted structure has been developed. With Cu(OAc)2 as the only catalyst, the tunable synthesis of 2-vinyl and 2,3-dicarboxyl-functionalized pyrroles has been achieved by using terminal and internal alkynyl esters, respectively. The synthesis of 2-vinyl pyrroles represents the first example accessing 2-vinyl substituted pyrroles via direct cascade reactions involving vinylation and pyrrole ring formation.

Abstract
Multisubstituted pyrroles are important fragments that appear in many bioactive small molecule scaffolds. Efficient synthesis of multisubstituted pyrroles with different substituents from easily accessible starting materials is challenging. Herein, we describe a metal-free method for the preparation of pentasubstituted pyrroles and hexasubstituted pyrrolines with different substituents and a free amino group by a base-promoted cascade addition-cyclization of propargylamides or allenamides with trimethylsilyl cyanide. This method would complement previous methods and support expansion of the toolbox for the synthesis of valuable, but previously inaccessible, highly substituted pyrroles and pyrrolines. Mechanistic studies to elucidate the reaction pathway have been conducted.

Abstract
Access to 1,3-conjugated enynes with defined stereoselectivity is highly desirable and challenging. Herein, we report a facile synthesis of stereodefined 1,3-conjugated enynes via Ni-catalyzed intermolecular cross-alkylalkynylation of alkynes with unsaturated carbonyl compounds and alkynes or alkynyl silicates. The operational simple protocol proceeds at room temperature and tolerates a wide range of functional groups, providing an attractive alternative to carbonyl-tethered trisubstituted conjugated 1,3-enynes from easily accessible starting materials.

Abstract
We present a modular, synthetic entry to polysubstituted pyrroles employing readily available 2,5-dihydrothiophenes. Ring-opening of the heterocycle provides access to a panel of 1,3-dienes which undergo pyrrole formation in the presence of inexpensive chloramine-T trihydrate. The transformation is conducted in an open flask and proceeds at ambient temperatures (23 °C) in nondry solvents. A careful adjustment of the electronics and sterics of the 1,3-diene precursor allows for the isolation of key intermediates. DFT studies identified a reaction mechanism that features a 6π-electrocyclization of a sulfilimine intermediate followed by spontaneous ring-contraction to reveal the pyrrole skeleton.

Abstract
Totally different functionalization and construction as two fundamental synthetic protocols have long been applied to furnish azaarene variants. Here, a novel radical-based functionalization-oriented construction strategy by exploiting the electronic properties of azaarenes and the high reactivity of radicals is developed. Under a photoredox catalysis platform, the robust ability of such an artful combination of functionalization with construction is disclosed in the synthesis of valuable 3-azaarene-substituted densely functionalized pyrroles. In addition to the ability to use the readily accessible feedstocks, the high synthetic efficiency and the good functional group tolerance, the substrate scope is broad (81 examples) resulting from the capability to flexibly replace the types of azaarenes and other substituents. Control experiments and density functional theory (DFT) calculations elucidate the plausible mechanism involving the reaction pathways and the important role of NaH2PO4 as an additive in the reaction.

Abstract
The copper-catalyzed functionalization of enyne derivatives has recently emerged as a powerful approach in contemporary synthesis. Enynes are versatile and readily accessible substrates that can undergo a variety of reactions to yield densely functionalized, enantioenriched products. In this perspective, we review copper-catalyzed transformations of enynes, such as boro- and hydrofunctionalizations, copper-mediated radical difunctionalizations, and cyclizations. Particular attention is given to the regiodivergent functionalization of 1,3-enynes, and the current mechanistic understanding of such processes.
