Abstract
Advanced and recurrent gynecological cancers are associated with poor prognosis and lack of effective treatment. The developments of the molecular mechanisms on cancer progression provide insight into novel targeted therapies, which are emerging as groundbreaking and promising cancer treatment strategies. In gynecologic malignancies, potential therapeutic targeted agents include antiangiogenic agents, poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors, tumor-intrinsic signaling pathway inhibitors, selective estrogen receptor downregulators, and immune checkpoint inhibitors. In this article, we provide a comprehensive review of the clinical evidence of targeted agents in gynecological cancers and discuss the future implication.

Abstract
Carnitine palmitoyltransferases 1 and 2 (CPT-1 and CPT-2) catalyze the transfer of long chain fatty acids between carnitine and coenzyme A. Unlike CPT-2, CPT-1 exists in at least two isoforms with different physical and kinetic properties. Liver and skeletal muscle each contain a different isoform of CPT-1. Cardiac muscle contains both isoforms, and the minor component is identical to the isoform found in the liver. 2-[6-(2,4-Dinitrophenoxy)hexyl]oxiranecarboxylic acid (2) was reported to be a selective inhibitor for the liver isoform of CPT-1. A synthesis of 2 is described here which involves the reaction of diethyl malonate with 1-bromo-6-phenoxyhexane.

Abstract
The enantiomeric resolution of a series of chiral fatty acid epoxide and alpha-substituted palmitic acid analogues was examined by high-performance liquid chromatography on chiral stationary phases. The compounds were chromatographed as ester or amide derivatives on commercially available stationary phases that consisted of (R)-N-(3,5-dinitrobenzoyl)phenylglycine either covalently or ionically bonded to aminopropylsilica gel. Factors affecting separation included hydrocarbon chain length of the fatty acid, the type of substituents attached to the chiral center, the type of derivative, and column temperature. Effects of sample size, mobile phase composition, column type, and flow-rate on the resolution and separation factor values were also explored.
