Abstract
The present study reports the spectroscopic characterization and second hyperpolarizability of odd spin states of acetonitrile in gas phase and water solvent. The odd spin states of acetonitrile are singlet, triplet and quintet spin state of acetonitrile have been considered for the study. The spectroscopic characterization viz. energy, geometrical parameters, infrared and electronic absorption spectra, molecular orbitals (MOs) their energies and natural transitions orbitals (NTOs) in gas phase and water solvent state reported at B3LYP/aug-cc-pVDZ level of theory. The second hyperpolarizability values are obtained using various methods and basis sets for comparison. It has been observed that the second hyperpolarizability values for the odd spin states of acetonitrile are more positive than the first hyperpolarizability. It is clearly seen that the effect of spin on spectroscopic parameters except on energy. The singlet gas phase acetonitrile calculations are well matching with the available experimental determinations. The TDDFT approach has been used to study electronic absorption spectra of all spin states of acetonitrile in gas phase and in water solvent. The IEFPCM model implemented in studying acetonitrile in water solvent at B3LYP/aug-cc-pVDZ level of theory. It is observed that HOMO to LUMO gap is larger for singlet than the triplet and quintet spin state and it decrease with an increase in strength of an applied field. All these calculations performed using Gaussian 16 program package.

Abstract
We have investigated computationally the effects of π-conjugation extension on naphtha[2,1-b:6,5-b'] difuran (DPNDF); where we increase the number of fused NDF (central core) and furan rings in the parent molecule. The molecular structures of all analogues have been optimized at the ground (S0) and first excited (S1) states using density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT), respectively. Then highest occupied molecular orbitals (HOMOs), the lowest unoccupied molecular orbitals (LUMOs), photophysical properties, adiabatic/vertical electron affinities (EAa)/(EAv), adiabatic/vertical ionization potentials (IPa)/(IPv), and hole/electron reorganization energies λh/λe have been investigated. The effect of NDF and furan rings on structural and electro-optical properties has also been studied. Our calculated reorganization energies of 1a, 1b, and 2c reveal them, materials with balanced hole/electron charge transport, whereas 2a and 2b are good hole-transport materials. By increasing the number of furan rings; the photostability was augmented in 2a, 2b, and 2c.

Abstract
Nonlinear optical active L-Argininum Perchlorate single crystals are grown by slow evaporation technique. The second-order NLO properties of the molecule are studied by Kurtz-Perry powder technique. FT-IR, FT-Raman spectra have been recorded and analyzed. The equilibrium geometry, vibrational wavenumbers and the first order hyperpolarizability have been calculated with the aid of density functional theoretical method. The NBO analysis explains the intramolecular interactions, electron densities within the molecule. It also confirms the presence of weak intermolecular C-H···O hydrogen bonding in the molecule. The blue-shift in CH stretching wavenumbers is due to the C-H···O hydrogen bonding. The Mulliken population analysis on atomic charges and the HOMO, LUMO energies were also calculated.

Abstract
The vibrational and electronic properties of 5-Acetyluracil have been investigated in the ground state using experimental techniques (FT-IR, FT-Raman and UV spectra) and density functional theory (DFT) employing B3LYP exchange correlation with the 6-31G(d,p) basis set. The theoretically calculated optimized parameters, vibrational frequencies, etc., were compared with the experimental values, which yield good agreement between the observed and calculated values. The complete assignments of fundamental modes were performed on the basis of the potential energy distribution (PED). UV-vis spectrum of the compound was recorded in the region of 300-700 nm and compared with the theoretical spectrum obtained from time-dependent DFT(TD-DFT). Fluorescence microscopic imaging studies proved that the compound can be used as one of the potential light sources in the green region.

Abstract
A first-principles study of the electronic structure, the linear optical properties and second-order NLO properties of calcium fluoroborate (Ca(5)(BO(3))(3)F, or CBF) crystal has been performed within density functional theory and the independent-particle approximation. The results indicate that the calculated birefringence Δn and the second-order susceptibilities are very coincident with the experimental measured values, and the χ((2)) curves show stronger anisotropy than the linear optical properties. Further analysis based on the spectral and spatial decomposition of χ((2)) reveals that the main sources of the SHG response of CBF are from the planar BO(3) groups (74%-77%) and Ca(2+) cations (23%-26%) and can be attributed to the interband electronic transition from the nonbonding O 2p states to the B 2p and Ca 4s4p states. The packing arrangement of BO(3) is the principal contributor to the significant differences among SHG tensors in CBF. Meanwhile, for a certain crystal CBF, the SHG tensors' trend can be the trend of the optical transition matrix elements, which are high when the corresponding subscript directions have more parallel BO(3) triangular planes in the structure.
