Abstract
For Raman hyperspectral detection and imaging in live cells, it is very desirable to create novel probes with strong and unique Raman vibrations in the biological silent region (1800-2800 cm-1). The use of molecular probes in Raman imaging is a relatively new technique in subcellular research; however, it is developing very rapidly. Compared with the label-free method, it allows for a more sensitive and selective visualization of organelles within a single cell. Biological systems are incredibly complex and heterogeneous. Directly visualizing biological structures and activities at the cellular and subcellular levels remains by far one of the most intuitive and powerful ways to study biological problems. Each organelle plays a specific and essential role in cellular processes, but importantly for cells to survive, mitochondrial function must be reliable. Motivated by earlier attempts and successes of biorthogonal chemical imaging, we develop a tool supporting Raman imaging of cells to track biochemical changes associated with mitochondrial function at the cellular level in an in vitro model. In this work, we present a newly synthesized highly sensitive RAR-BR Raman probe for the selective imaging of mitochondria in live endothelial cells.

Abstract
A highly efficient method for the synthesis of aryl substituted conjugated enediynes and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes via selective cross-coupling reactions of 1,1-dibromoethylenes with alkynylaluminums using the Pd(OAc)2-DPPE and Pd2(dba)3-TFP complexes as catalysts, respectively, has been successfully developed. Though the alkyl substituted conjugated enediynes and unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes were not obtained, this case is also remarkable as the same starting materials could selectively produce either aryl substituted conjugated enediynes or unsymmetrical 1,3-diynes in moderate to excellent yields (up to 99%) in the different Pd-phosphine catalytic systems.

Abstract
The effects of all kinds of amines on homo-couplings (Glaser reactions) of terminal alkynes promoted by copper salts and the Sonogashira coupling reactions were studied systematically. Diethylamine (2° amine) can serve as an excellent solvent, base and coordination ligand in the oxidative homo-coupling of terminal alkynes and several modified Glaser coupling procedures have been developed which are based on a catalytic amount of cuprous salts (CuI, CuBr or CuCl) with diethylamine systems. Homo-coupling of terminal acetylenes in the Sonogashira reaction could be inhibited by using triethylamine (3° amine) as reaction medium, and the cross-coupling products were formed as the exclusive products.

Under solvent free and microwave irradiation reaction conditions, a Sonogashira-like coupling reaction of 1,1-dibromo-1-alkenes with organic halides on nickel(0) powder-doped KF/Al2O3 has been developed, which generates the corresponding alkynes in moderate to good yields.

Abstract
A convenient Cadiot-Chodkiewicz protocol that facilitates the use of low molecular weight alkyne coupling partners is described. The method entails an in situ elimination from a dibromoolefin precursor and immediate subjection to copper-catalyzed conditions, circumventing the hazards of volatile brominated alkynes. The scope of this method is described, and the internal 1,3-diyne products are preliminarily evaluated in ruthenium-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloadditions.

Abstract
The domino coupling reaction of 1,1-dibromo-1-alkenes with triarylbismuth nucleophiles has been demonstrated to furnish disubstituted alkynes directly under catalytic palladium conditions. The couplings of triarylbismuths as multicoupling nucleophiles with 3 equiv of 1,1-dibromo-1-alkenes are very fast, affording high yields of alkynes in a short reaction time. Thus, an efficient domino process has been accomplished using 1,1-dibromo-1-alkenes as surrogates for internal alkyne synthesis in couplings with triarylbismuths in a one-pot operation.
