Abstract
The protocol, 3-methyldec-1-yn-3-ol (1a) was chosen to perform the dimerization process. The optimal conditions for synthesis of 8,13-dimethylicosa-9,11-diyne-8,13 (2a) with high efficiency when using copper-catalyzed, N,N,N′N′-tetramethylethylenediamine as a ligand and CCl4 and methanol solvents in atmospheric pressure were determined. The structure of the obtained compound was proved by IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy.

Abstract
While the Glaser-Hay coupling of terminal alkynes is a useful reaction, several issues associated with chemoselectivity preclude its widespread application in synthetic chemistry. To address these issues, a solid-supported Glaser-Hay methodology was developed to afford only asymmetric diyne products. This methodology was then applied to a series of immobilized alkynes with a diverse set of soluble alkynes to generate an array of heterocoupled products in high yields and purities.

Abstract
A novel and efficient Cu(I)-catalyzed oxidative homocoupling of terminal alkynes with diaziridinone as an oxidant is described. Various terminal alkynes can be transformed into the corresponding 1,3-diynes in good yields. The reaction process is base-free, operationally simple, and amenable to the gram scale.

Abstract
We report a streamlined method for the synthesis of peptides embedded with complex and easily variable π-conjugated oligomeric subunits from commercially available precursors. These modified peptides self-assemble under aqueous conditions to form one-dimensional nanomaterials containing networks of π-stacked conduits, despite the inclusion of π-conjugated oligomers with quadrupoles extended over larger areas. The procedure has circumvented solubility and other synthetic issues to allow for the facile formation of a diverse library of bioelectronic nanomaterials, including a complex sexithiophene-containing peptide whose nanostructures display gate-induced conductivity within field effect transistors.

Abstract
The synthesis of diverse substituted indole structures on solid supports is described. The immobilization of nitrobenzoic acid onto Merrifield resin and the subsequent treatment with alkenyl Grignard reagents delivered indole carboxylates bound to solid supports. In contrast to results in the liquid phase, ortho,ortho-unsubstituted nitroarenes also delivered indole moieties in good yields. Subsequent palladium-catalyzed reactions (Suzuki, Heck, Sonogashira, Stille) delivered, after cleavage, the desired molecules in moderate to good yields over four steps. The scope and limitations are presented.

Abstract
The palladium/bpy-catalyzed annulation of o-alkynylphenol with various aryl halides to generate diversified 2,3-diarylbenzo[b]furan is herein described. This method provides an efficient synthetic pathway for the combinatorial synthesis of conformationally restricted 2,3-diarylbenzo[b]furan for drug discovery.
