Abstract
A new flexible and divergent 1,2,3-triazol-4-yl-picolinamide (tzpa) ligand 2 and the half-equivalent model ligand 1, both functionalised with pendant 3-pyridyl groups, are reported and their coordination behaviour with silver(i) ions is explored, both in the crystalline phase and through the formation of a supramolecular metallogel. The self-assembly of tzpa ligand 1 with AgCF3SO3 resulted in the formation of a 1D coordination polymer, binding in a bidentate fashion through the pyridyl and triazole nitrogen atoms of the tzpa binding site and a pendant pyridyl nitrogen atom of an adjacent ligand. Doubling the number of metal binding sites in ligand 2, while retaining the same metal binding domain, gives rise to the formation of a supramolecular metallogel on reaction with AgBF4 at 5 wt% in MeCN, possessing self-healing properties.

Abstract
A rare example of coordination at the amino group of NH2 pym (2-aminopyrimidine) relevant to N-H activation is described that leads to a novel Ag(I) -imide 3D metal-organic framework (MOF). The coordination of Ag(I) to NH2 pym produced an electron-withdrawing effect and thus increased its acidity, which facilitated the N-H activation and the subsequent formation of the Ag-imide bond. A cooperative metalation/deprotonation process for the N-H activation of NH2 pym is suggested. Interestingly, photoluminescence of 1 is switched on at the low temperature of 77 K.

Abstract
In the title compound, [Co(C13H14N2)2(H2O)4](C12H8O6S2)·H2O, the cation, anion and uncoordinated water molecule have crystallographically imposed twofold symmetry. The cobalt(II) atom exhibits a slightly distorted octahedral coordination geometry provided by two N atoms from two 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)propane ligands and the O atoms from four water molecules. The dihedral angle between the pyridine rings in the ligand is 86.14 (11)°, whereas the dihedral angle formed by the symmetry-related benzene rings in the anion is 35.81 (12)°. In the crystal, cations, anions and water molecules are linked into layers parallel to the ac plane by O—H⋯O and O—H⋯N hydrogen-bond interactions. The layers are further connected into a three-dimensional network by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

Abstract
Seven new lanthanide-organic coordination polymers incorporating both nitrogen heterocyclic dicarboxylate and various auxiliary ligands, {[Ln(3)(Hpimda)(4)(mu(2)-HCOO).5H(2)O].H(2)O}(n)} Ln = Sm (1), Ln = Eu (2), Ln = Gd (3), Ln = Dy (4), Ln = Ho (5), {[Ce(2)(Hpimda)(2)(mu(4)-C(2)O(4)).8H(2)O].2H(2)O}(n) (6), {[Yb(2)(pyda)(mu(4)-C(2)O(4))(2).4H(2)O].3H(2)O}(n) (7) (H(3)pimda = 1H-2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylic acid, H(2)pyda = 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid) have been fabricated successfully and characterized systematically. Complexes 1-5 are isomorphous and isostructural, and are built from two-dimensional (2-D) double-decker networks based on the tetranuclear basic carboxylate as a secondary building unit (SBU). Both polymers 6 and 7 feature a (3,4)-connected 3-D framework consisting of 2-D lanthanide-organic hexagonal grids, which are further interlinked via the mu(4)-oxalate ligand. The results of magnetic determination show the same end-to-end bridging fashion of formate group results in different magnetic properties occurring between lanthanide centers. The luminescence emission spectra of the complexes vary depending on the lanthanide ion present.
