Parallel synthesis and in vitro activity of novel anthranilic hydroxamate-based inhibitors of the prostaglandin H2 synthase peroxidase activity

2-Carbamoyl-3,4,5,6-tetrafluorobenzoic acid

In the title compound, C₈H₃F₄NO₃, the carb­oxy group lies nearly in the plane of the ring with a C—C—C—O torsion angle of −10.5 (4)°. The carbamoyl group is almost perpendic­ular to the benzene ring [C—C—C—O torsion angle = 82.2 (4) °]. In the crystal, molecules are linked via O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds involving the carbamoyl and carb­oxy groups.
