A novel 3-D cuprous iodide polymer with a high Cu/I ratio

The interconnection of rare 1-D cationic aggregates [CuI3I²⁺]_n and anionic bi-tetrazolate bridges leads to the formation of a novel 3-D cuprous iodide polymer with a Cu/I ratio as high as 3, which shows unusually thermochromic luminescent properties.

Zinc and cadmium complexes based on bis-(1H-tetrazol-5-ylmethyl/ylethyl)-amine ligands: structures and photoluminescence properties

Nine zinc and cadmium coordination compounds with bis-(1H-tetrazol-5-ylmethyl/ylethyl)-amine were synthesized and structurally characterized, and the fluorescent emission and fluorescence lifetime of complexes 1–9 have been investigated and discussed.

Hexaaqua-magnesium(II) bis-{5-[3-(1H-tetra-zol-5-yl)phen-yl]tetra-zolide} tetra-hydrate

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [Mg(H(2)O)(6)](C(8)H(5)N(8))(2)·4H(2)O, contains one half of the centrosymmetric dication, one anion and two water mol-ecules. The Mg(II) ion is coordinated by six water mol-ecules in a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the anion, the two five-membered heterocycles are twisted from the central benzene ring by 4.34 (11) and 3.20 (10)°. In the crystal, O-H⋯N, O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate a three-dimensional network.

Synthesis and Supramolecular Structure of a (5-(3-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)phenyl)-1H-tetrazole) Cobalt Complex

The reaction of CoCl₂·6H₂O with m-BDTH₂ (1,3-benzeneditetrazol-5-yl) leads to [Co(C₈H₆N₈)₂(H₂O)₂(CH₃CN)₂]Cl₂ (1). Both tetrazolic groups remain protonated existing in a 1H tautomeric form. A trifurcated chlorine atom and stacking interactions assemble compound 1 into a three-dimensional network.
