Abstract
The vibrational quenching cross sections and corresponding low-temperature rate constants for the ν = 1 and ν = 2 states of CN-(1Σ+) colliding with He and Ar atoms have been computed ab initio using new three-dimensional potential energy surfaces. Little work has been carried out so far on low-energy vibrationally inelastic collisions for anions with neutral atoms. The cross sections and rates calculated at energies and temperatures relevant for both ion traps and astrochemical modeling are found by the present calculations to be even smaller than those of the similar C2 -/He and C2 -/Ar systems, which are in turn of the order of those existing for the collisions involving neutral diatom-atom systems. The implications of our finding in the present case mainly focus on the possible role of small computed rate constants in the dynamics of molecular cooling and the evolution of astrochemical modeling networks.

Abstract
Iodine oxide (IO) is an important tropospheric molecule. In the present paper, we mapped the potential energy surfaces (PESs) of the doubly degenerate IO(X2Π)-Ar van der Waals system using single- and double-excitation coupled cluster approaches with non-iterative perturbation treatment of triple excitations [RCCSD(T)] extrapolated to the complete basis set (CBS) limit. In addition to bent local minima, we identified a linear Ar-IO complex as a global minimum. Afterwards, we performed scattering calculations on these PESs, considering the non-zero spin-orbit contribution and the Renner-Teller effect. The integral cross-sections exhibit an oscillatory structure vs. the final rotational state, as already observed for the NO(X2Π)-Ar system. Moreover, computations reveal that the Ar-IO complex is stable toward dissociation into IO and Ar. Therefore, it can be found in the atmosphere and participates in iodine compound physical chemical processes occurring there.

Abstract
A globally accurate full-dimensional potential energy surface (PES) for the inelastic scattering between H2 and HCl is developed on the basis of a large number of points calculated at the coupled-cluster singles, doubles, and perturbative triples level of theory. The machine-learned PES is trained with 42 417 ab initio points using the permutation invariant polynomial-neural network method, resulting in a root-mean-square fitting error of 5.6 cm-1. Both full- and reduced-dimensional quantum calculations for rotationally inelastic scattering are performed on this new PES and good agreement is obtained with previous quantum dynamical results on a reduced-dimensional model. Furthermore, strong resonances are identified at collision energies below 100 K, including cold conditions. This new PES provides a reliable platform for future studies of scattering dynamics with vibrationally excited collision partners in a wide range of collision energies extending to cold and ultracold conditions.

Abstract
A recent Ring Polymer Molecular Dynamics study of the reactions of OH with methanol and formaldehyde, at zero pressure and below 100 K, has shown the formation of long lived complexes, with long lifetimes, longer than 100 ns for the lower temperatures studied, 20-100 K (del Mazo-Sevillano et al., 2019). These long lifetimes support the existence of multi collision events with the He buffer-gas atoms under experimental conditions, as suggested by several transition state theory studies of these reactions. In this work we study these secondary collisions, as a dynamical approach to study pressure effects on these reactions. For this purpose, the potential energy surfaces of He with H2CO, OH, H2O and HCO are calculated at highly accurate ab initio level. The stability of some of the complexes is studied using Path Integral Molecular dynamics techniques, determining that OH-H2CO complexes can be formed up to 100 K or higher temperatures, while the weaker He-H2CO complexes dissociate at approximately 50 K. The predicted IR intensity spectra shows new features which could help the identification of the OH-H2CO complex. Finally, the He-H2CO + OH and OH-H2CO + He collisions are studied using quassi-classical trajectories, finding that the cross section to produce HCO + H2O products increases with decreasing collision energy, and that it is ten times higher in the He-H2CO + OH case.

Abstract
Collisional excitation of light hydrides is important to fully understand the complex chemical and physical processes of atmospheric and astrophysical environments. Here, we focus on the NH(X3Σ-)-Ar van der Waals system. First, we have calculated a new three-dimensional Potential Energy Surface (PES), which explicitly includes the NH bond vibration. We have carried out the ab initio calculations of the PES employing the open-shell single- and double-excitation couple cluster method with noniterative perturbational treatment of the triple excitations. To achieve a better accuracy, we have first obtained the energies using the augmented correlation-consistent aug-cc-pVXZ (X = T, Q, 5) basis sets and then we have extrapolated the final values to the complete basis set limit. We have also studied the collisional excitation of NH(X3Σ-)-Ar at the close-coupling level, employing our new PES. We calculated collisional excitation cross sections of the fine-structure levels of NH by Ar for energies up to 3000 cm-1. After thermal average of the cross sections, we have then obtained the rate coefficients for temperatures up to 350 K. The propensity rules between the fine-structure levels are in good agreement with those of similar collisional systems, even though they are not as strong and pronounced as for lighter systems, such as NH-He. The final theoretical values are also compared with the few available experimental data.

Abstract
Phosphorus bearing molecules have been discovered in the circumstellar and interstellar media. Modeling their abundance accurately requires computations of rate coefficients induced by collision with He and H2 (i.e., the most abundant gaseous components). These calculations may be carried out by first determining highly accurate potential energy surface (PES) and cross sections. In this paper, we present the first PES of the CP(X2Σ+)-He(1S) van der Waals collisional complex. The ab initio interaction potential was performed using the explicitly correlated restricted coupled cluster approach with simple, double, and perturbative triple excitation (RCCSD(T)-F12) in connection with the augmented-correlation consistent-polarized valence triple-ζ Gaussian basis set (aug-cc-pVTZ). The potential presents two minima of -18.62 cm-1 and -18.72 cm-1. From the PES obtained, we have computed state-to-state excitation cross sections of CP due to collision with He for energies up to 500 cm-1. Rotational transitions involving the fine-structure levels of the CP molecule were treated with a recoupling technique based on the scattering matrix calculated with the exact quantum mechanical close coupling method. Discussions on the propensity rules between the fine-structure levels were made and we found that the Δj = ΔN transitions are favored with respect to the Δj ≠ ΔN ones. The data presented in this paper may have a great impact on the accurate determination of the CP abundance in space.

Abstract
We present a new three-dimensional potential energy surface (PES) for the NH(X(3)Σ(-))-Ne van der Waals system, which explicitly takes into account the NH vibrational motion. Ab initio calculations of the NH-Ne PES were carried out using the open-shell single- and double-excitation coupled cluster approach with non-iterative perturbational treatment of triple excitations [RCCSD(T)]. The augmented correlation-consistent quadruple zeta (aug-cc-pVQZ) basis set was employed. Mid-bond functions were also included in order to improve the accuracy in the van der Waals well. Using this new PES, we have studied the collisional excitation of NH(X(3)Σ(-)) by Ne. Close-coupling calculations of the collisional excitation cross sections of the fine-structure levels of NH by Ne are performed for energies up to 3000 cm(-1), which yield, after thermal average, rate coefficients up to 350 K. The propensity rules between fine-structure levels are reported, and it is found that F-conserving cross sections are larger than F-changing cross sections even if the propensity rules are not as strong as for the NH-He system. The calculated rate coefficients are compared with available experimental measurements at room temperature and a fairly good agreement is found between experimental and theoretical data, confirming the good quality of the scattering calculations and also the accuracy of the potential energy surface used in this work.

Abstract
We report fully quantum time-independent calculations of cross sections for the collisional excitation of HCl by H, an astrophysically relevant process. Our calculations are based on the Bian-Werner ClH2 potential energy surface and include the possibility of HCl destruction through reactive collisions. The strongest collision-induced rotational HCl transitions are those with Δj = 1, and the magnitude of the HCl-H inelastic cross sections is of the same order of magnitude as the HCl-H2 ones. Results of exact calculations, i.e., including the reactive channels, are compared to pure inelastic calculations based on the rigid rotor approximation. A very good agreement is found between the two approaches over the whole energy range 10-3000 cm(-1). At the highest collisional energies, where the reaction takes place, the rigid rotor approach slightly overestimates the cross sections, as expected. Hence, the rigid rotor approach is found to be reliable at interstellar temperatures.
