Abstract
The bromination of α-oxo ketene dithioacetals using KBr/H2O2, catalyzed by Curvularia inaequalis vanadium chloroperoxidase (CiVCPO), has been successfully demonstrated. A comparative study of enzymatic processes "on water" versus "in water", using 2 wt% of the surfactant TPGS-750-M revealed that the in-water protocol not only provides higher yields but also accommodates a broader substrate scope. This bromination method in an aqueous micellar medium enabled the preparation of brominated α-oxo ketene dithioacetals in fair to excellent yields (23 examples). In the micellar system, the substrate concentration was increased up to 50 mM, and the amounts of the brominating agents KBr and H2O2 were reduced to approximately 2.0 equivalents without compromising efficiency. Notably, this process allows for the gram-scale preparation of brominated α-oxo ketene dithioacetals in high yields. Key advantages of this method include its benign and eco-friendly nature, the use of water as a green solvent, and its potential for large-scale production of brominated α-oxo ketene dithioacetals.

Abstract
Furans are five-membered aromatic heterocycles containing one oxygen atom that are important
building blocks in organic chemistry, but also as natural products found in various natural
sources, mostly in plants, algae and microorganisms. In this review, we discussed recent advances in the
synthesis of furan compounds. Some classical methods have been modified and improved, while other
new methods have been developed. A vast variety of catalysts was used for these transformations. In
many studies, furan synthesis reaction mechanisms were also investigated and proposed.

Abstract
A transition metal free, efficient, sulfenylation of ketene dithioacetals catalyzed by an HBr–DMSO system is achieved. This strategy employs inexpensive and readily available HBr and DMSO to provide a direct C–H bond sulfenylation with a broad range of aryl thiols. This sulfenylated product is also transformed for the synthesis of pyrazole derivatives in excellent yield.

Abstract
The sulfenylation of the vinyl C-H bond in ketene dithioacetals leading to the synthesis of polythiolated alkenes is achieved via the promotion of molecular iodine. In addition, alkyl thiols also exhibit tolerance to the C-H bond elaboration reaction for the synthesis of corresponding alkylthiolated ketene dithioacetals.
