Abstract
The synthesis of tripeptides incorporating new fluorinated heterocyclic hydrazino acids, based on the tetrahydropyridazine scaffold is described. Starting from simple fluorinated hydrazones, these non-proteinogenic cyclic β-amino acids were easily prepared by a zinc-catalyzed aza-Barbier reaction followed by an intramolecular Michael addition. Preliminary conformational studies on tripeptides including this scaffold in the central position show an extended conformation in solution (NMR) and in the solid state (X-ray).

It summarizes recent methodologies that have been used for the synthesis of various nitrogen-containing organofluorine compounds.

Abstract
Carbon dioxide (CO2) is an available, abundant, and renewable C1 resource, which could be converted into value-added chemicals. Due to its inherent thermodynamic stability and kinetic inertness, it is difficult to realize its efficient utilization. Nevertheless, many elegant strategies for the utilization of CO2 have been developed using Lewis bases, frustrated Lewis pairs, hydroxyl-containing compounds, amino-group-containing compounds or transition metal catalysis. Among them, base-mediated carboxylation of C-nucleophiles is an environmentally friendly strategy for CO2 conversion, which is operationally simple, using low-toxicity bases and economical available promoters, without the use of complex ligands or cocatalysts. This review summarizes related work on the base-mediated carboxylation of C-nucleophiles with CO2, based on the effects of nucleophiles, promoters, additives, and solvents. The types of pronucleophile are categorized as follows: hydrocarbon with C(sp3)-H, C(sp2)-H or C(sp)-H bonds, organosilanes, organotin, organoboron, and N-tosylhydrazones. Typical mechanisms and applications of these carboxylation reactions are also depicted. Moreover, mechanistic comprehension of CO2 activation and conversion at a molecular level aims to further expand the repertoire of carboxylation transformations mediated by bases.

Abstract
The indium-mediated allylation of novel 3-(2-Boc-hydrazono)indolin-2-one derivatives, followed by a palladium-catalysed carboamination reaction, is described to afford unprecedented spirocyclic oxindoles in good yields. The method provides an efficient access to both cis and trans diastereoisomers of highly functionalized compounds, bearing an N-Boc, 5-substituted pyrazolidine ring at the C3-oxindole spiro junction. The versatility of the method is fully demonstrated starting from a series of substituted isatins and employing a variety of aryl halides in the key cyclization step. Abstract
A novel and efficient N-arylation of trifluoromethylated N-acylhydrazones is described by using diaryliodonium salts as arylation reagents in the presence of copper salts. A wide variety of N-aryl acylhydrazones are obtained with good to excellent yields under mild reaction conditions.

Abstract
An efficient and practical cascade oxidation/halogenoaminocyclization of trifluoromethylated homoallylic N-acylhydrazines is developed. The protocol enables an efficient access to various biologically interesting CF3-containing pyrazoline compounds from readily accessible trifluoromethylated homoallylic N-acylhydrazines in good to excellent yields under mild conditions without any other additives or catalysts. The produced pyrazoline compounds can be further manipulated to other more complicated derivatives through transformation of residual halogen atom.

Abstract
A convenient and efficient method for the constructions of 3-spirooxindole derivatives or 3,3′-disubstituted oxindoles has been developed from one-pot reactions of isatins, hydrazides or aromatic amines, 2-(bromomethyl)acrylic ester in the presence of a catalytic amount of Brønsted or Lewis acid promoted by tin powder instead of toxic stannanes.
