Abstract
Chemoselective transformations of functionalized sulfonyl fluorides and chlorides are surveyed comprehensively. It is shown that sulfonyl fluorides provide an excellent selectivity control in their reactions. Thus, numerous conditions are tolerated by the SO2 F group - from amide and ester formation to directed ortho-lithiation and transition-metal-catalyzed cross-couplings. Meanwhile, sulfur (VI) fluoride exchange (SuFEx) is also compatible with numerous functional groups, thus confirming its title of "another click reaction". On the contrary, with a few exceptions, most transformations of functionalized sulfonyl chlorides typically occur at the SO2 Cl moiety.

Abstract
A direct allylic C-H bond activation of α-methylstyrene derivatives with sulfonylhydrazines for the synthesis of allylic sulfones has been developed under exogenous oxidant- and metal-catalyst-free electrochemical conditions. Using the transfer of electrons in the current instead of a stoichiometric chemical oxidant, a series of valuable allylic sulfones were accessed with a wide substrate scope and excellent regioselectivity via radical coupling.

Abstract
We developed a direct metal-free S-arylation of phosphorothioate diesters using diaryliodonium salts. The method allows for the preparation under simple conditions of a broad range of S-aryl phosphorothioates, including complex molecules (e.g., dinucleotide or TADDOL derivatives), as well as other related organophosphorus compounds arylated at a chalcogen. The reaction proceeds with a full retention of the stereogenic center at the phosphorus atom, opening convenient access to P-chiral products. The mechanism of the reaction was established using DFT calculations.

Abstract
A facile and rapid synthesis of unsymmetrical aryl disulfides using PPh3-mediated reductive coupling of thiophenols with aryl sulfonyl chlorides was described. Good functional group tolerance and scalability were achieved in this strategy. More importantly, the approach enables the introduction of sulfonyl chlorides into the synthesis of asymmetric organic disulfides under catalyst- and base-free conditions. Using this method, unsymmetrical aromatic disulfides could be prepared from inexpensive and readily available starting materials in moderate to excellent isolated yields, through a nucleophilic substitution pathway.

Abstract
Reported here is a simple and practical functionalization of primary sulfonamides, by means of a pyrylium salt (Pyry‐BF4), with nucleophiles. This simple reagent activates the poorly nucleophilic NH2 group in a sulfonamide, enabling the formation of one of the best electrophiles in organic synthesis: a sulfonyl chloride. Because of the variety of primary sulfonamides in pharmaceutical contexts, special attention has been focused on the direct conversion of densely functionalized primary sulfonamides by a late‐stage formation of the corresponding sulfonyl chloride. A variety of nucleophiles could be engaged in this transformation, thus permitting the synthesis of complex sulfonamides, sulfonates, sulfides, sulfonyl fluorides, and sulfonic acids. The mild reaction conditions and the high selectivity of Pyry‐BF4 towards NH2 groups permit the formation of sulfonyl chlorides in a late‐stage fashion, tolerating a preponderance of sensitive functionalities.

Abstract
A considerably improved method for the Cu-catalyzed coupling of sulfuryl chloride with P(O)-H was described. Using commercially available l-proline as the ligand decreased the precatalyst loading, broadened the substrate scope and greatly promoted the efficiency of the coupling reaction. Moreover, gram-scale preparation, easy-to handle and recyclable catalyst featured this transformation.
