Abstract
Iron nanoparticles, with low toxicity and many active sites, are among the materials that not only reduce waste along with green chemistry but also increase the separation power and recover the catalyst from the reaction environment. In this study, first, the surface of iron nanoparticles was silanized, and in the next step, the complex of chitosan HCl.VO3 was placed on the surface of Fe3O4 (Fe3O4@SiO2@CSH+VO3-). This nanocatalyst is a novel, recoverable, and potent nanocatalyst with high selectivity for the oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides. Various physicochemical techniques such as IR, XRD, TGA, SEM, EDX, mapping, TEM, and VSM were used to affirm the well synthesis of the catalyst. Oxidation of sulfides in the presence of hydrogen peroxide as a green oxidant and in ethanol was catalyzed by the Fe3O4@SiO2@CSH+VO3-. All sulfoxides were achieved with high efficiency and in a short time. The notable privileges of this method include facile and economic catalyst synthesis, proper catalyst durability, great performance, simple catalyst isolation, good recovery capability, at least up to 5 times without an index drop in catalytic power.

Efficient Construction of Symmetrical Diaryl Sulfides via a Supported Pd Nanocatalyst-Catalyzed C-S Coupling Reaction. Int J Mol Sci 2022; 23:ijms232315360. Abstract
Aryl sulfides play an important role in pharmaceuticals, biologically active molecules and polymeric materials. Herein, a general and efficient protocol for Pd@COF-TB (a kind of Pd nanocatalyst supported by a covalent organic framework)/DIPEA-catalyzed one-pot synthesis of symmetrical diaryl sulfides through a C-S coupling reaction from aryl iodides and Na2S2O3 is developed. More importantly, the addition of N,N-diisopropylethylamine (DIPEA) can not only enhance the catalytic activity of a Pd@COF-TB nanocatalyst, but also effectively inhibit the formation of biphenyl byproducts, which are a product of Ullmann reaction. Besides, it has been confirmed that the aryl Bunte salts generated in situ from Na2S2O3 and aryl iodides are the sulfur sources involved in this C-S coupling reaction. With the strategy proposed in this work, a variety of symmetrical diaryl sulfides could be obtained in moderate to excellent yields with a high tolerance of various functional groups. Moreover, a possible mechanism of this Pd nanoparticle-catalyzed C-S coupling reaction is proposed based on the results of controlling experiments.

Abstract
Symmetrical diaryl sulfides and diaryl disulfides have been efficiently and selectively constructed via the homocoupling of sodium arenesulfinates. The selectivity of products relied on the different reaction systems: symmetrical diaryl sulfides were predominately obtained under the Pd(OAc)2 catalysis, whereas symmetrical diaryl sulfides were exclusively yielded in the presence of the reductive Fe/HCl system.

Abstract
In this work, magnetic mesocellular foam (M-MCF) silica nanoparticles were prepared via inserting magnetic nanoparticles into the pores of mesocellular foams, the inner surface of which was functionalized with a methionine-nickel complex (M-MCF@Met-Ni). The structure of the as-prepared nanocatalysts was studied by FT-IR spectroscopy, BET, TGA, VSM, SEM, HR-TEM, EDS, WDX, XRD, and ICP-OES techniques. Thereafter, this nanocatalyst was used as a new, effective, and magnetically reusable catalyst for C-S and C-Se bond formation under mild conditions. All corresponding products were prepared with good yields and appropriate turnover number (TON) and turnover frequency (TOF), which reveals the high activity of this magnetic nanocatalyst in both reactions. In addition, the recovery and hot filtration tests indicated that this catalyst could be simply separated from the reaction mixture using an outside magnet and reused five consecutive times without any significant loss of its catalyst activity or metal leaching.

Abstract
The development of green, economical and sustainable chemical processes is one of the primary challenges in organic synthesis. Herein, we report an efficient and heterogeneous palladium-catalyzed sulfonylation of vinyl cyclic carbonates with sodium sulfinates via decarboxylative cross-coupling. Both aliphatic and aromatic sulfinate salts react with various vinyl cyclic carbonates to deliver the desired allylic sulfones featuring tri- and even tetrasubstituted olefin scaffolds in high yields with excellent selectivity. The process needs only 2 mol% of Pd2(dba)3 and the in situ formed palladium nano-particles are found to be the active catalyst.

Abstract
A highly chemoselective, efficient and nano-Pd catalyzed protocol for the rapid construction of sulfoxides and sulfones via the oxidation of symmetrical and unsymmetrical sulfides using H2O2 as an oxidant has been developed, respectively. The ready availability of starting materials, easy recovery and reutilization of the catalyst, wide substrate scope, and high yields make this protocol an attractive alternative. The process also involves the metal-free and microwave-promoted synthesis of symmetrical diarylsulfides, and FeCl3-mediated preparation of symmetrical diaryldisulfides through the reaction of arenediazonium tetrafluoroborates with Na2S·9H2O as a sulfur source. In addition, unsymmetrical sulfides were generated via the K2CO3-mediated reaction of arenediazonium tetrafluoroborates with symmetrical disulfides.

Abstract
Peptide nanofiber has been prepared via a self-assembly protocol and decorated with Cu(I) to prepare a nanostructural catalyst. The catalytic activity of this prepared nanomaterial (Cu(I)–PNF) was examined in C–O and C–S cross-coupling reactions. Compared with conventional copper–ligand catalytic systems, CuNP–PNF has unique advantages such as water solubility, high efficiency, and low cost, which makes it a highly efficient and beneficial catalyst to reuse in cross-coupling reactions.
