Abstract
The first asymmetric (3+3)-cycloaddition of ortho-substituted phenyl nitrones with aryl cyclopropane carbaldehydes has been demonstrated by secondary amine catalysts. While the other ortho-substituents gave 1,2-oxazinanes, ortho-hydroxy ones provided a novel class of tetrahydrochromeno-1,2-oxazine cores via rare 1,3-aryl migration, followed by cyclization. An unusual type of asymmetric approach was also recognized.

Abstract
Herein, we report a highly regioselective one-pot synthesis of pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines via the reaction of 3-arylidene-1-pyrrolines with aminopyrazoles. The reaction proceeds through the sequential nucleophilic addition/electrophilic substitution/C-N bond cleavage and provides easy access to pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine derivatives featuring a primary amino group. Moreover, the reaction can be terminated at the electrophilic substitution stage, thus providing convenient entry to the hardly accessible pyrazolopyrrolopyridine scaffold.

Abstract
An organocatalytic enantioselective (3 + 3)-cycloaddition reaction of racemic cyclopropane carbaldehydes and aryl hydrazones has been demonstrated for the first time. A wide range of enantioenriched tetrahydropyridazines with an exocyclic double bond were obtained with moderate to good yields and good to excellent enantiomeric excesses. Mechanistic investigations hinted toward a matched/mismatched kinetic resolution, and control experiments and DFT calculations unveiled that 1,3-aryl migration was concerted and intramolecular and proceeds via a four-membered transition state.

Abstract
A novel α,β-unsaturated iminium salt (3) incorporated into a rigid dibenzobarrelene backbone was synthesized by heating N-(anthracen-9-ylmethyl)-2,6-diisopropylaniline (2) and 3-phenyl-2-propynal in THF in the presence of excess amounts of magnesium sulfate and 0.5 equivalents of an HBF4-Et2O complex. The molecular structure of 3 was characterized unambiguously by NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) analyses. Compound 3 exhibits yellow luminescence in CH2Cl2 (λem = 516 nm) and in the solid state (λem = 517 nm) with relatively high to moderate quantum yields (ΦF(CH2Cl2) = 0.63; ΦF(solid) = 0.34).

Abstract
Regio- and enantioselective direct arylation of β-alkenyl pyrroline is reported. A wide range of electron-rich arenes and heteroarenes reacted under mild conditions with different β-alkenyl pyrrolines to provide structurally diverse α-aryl-β-alkenyl pyrrolidines with very good yields and excellent regioselectivity. Enantioselective reaction in the presence of Lewis acids and chiral phosphoric acids provided the desired arylated product with 73% enantiomeric excess.
