Abstract
Combining the advantages of energetic heterocycles to achieve high-energy insensitive explosives is a significant challenge. Herein, based on high-energy tetrazole rings and highly stable 1,3,4-oxadiazole rings, a series of novel nitrogen rich energetic compounds 5-9 were successfully constructed. The related compounds were fully characterized by EA, FT-IR, NMR, DSC, and MS, and compounds 6-9 were further confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Among them, the energetic ion salts 6-8 show high thermal stability (Tdec > 250 °C) and low mechanical sensitivity (IS > 40 J, FS > 360 N), as well as good energy properties (7552-8050 m s-1, 19.4-23.3 GPa). In particular, the azo compound 9 exhibits competent comprehensive performances (Tdec = 226.2 °C, D = 8502 m s-1, P = 28.9 GPa, IS = 32 J, FS = 320 N). These results suggest that the strategy of integrating tetrazole and 1,3,4-oxadiazole and employing an azo structure as a bridging unit are effective approaches to construct high-energy insensitive materials.

Abstract
To seek new high energetic materials, N-methylene-C-bridged nitrogen-rich heterocycle 1-((4,5-diamino-4H-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl)methyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazol-3,5-diamine (DATMTDA) (2) was first synthesized, and two copper coordination compounds ([Cu12(OH)4(ClO4)4(H2O)4(DATMTDA)12](ClO4)16·12H2O (3) and [Cu3(OH)(ClO4)(DATMTDA)3](ClO4)3(NO3) (4)) based on 2 were formed by introducing different anions. These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal structures of compounds 3 and 4 are similar and crystallize in monoclinic systems with the P21/c space group, while the central copper atoms show different coordination behaviors. However, the structure of compounds 3 and 4 is analogous to a three dimensional structure owing to the O atom of OH-, forming coordinate bonds with three copper cations. The NBO charge of 2 was calculated using density functional theory to understand its coordination modes. The Hirshfeld surface calculation reveals that 3 and 4 have strong intermolecular interactions. The thermal decomposition processes, non-isothermal kinetics, and enthalpies of formation and sensitivities of these compounds were investigated. By introducing one NO3- of compound 4 to replace one ClO4- in compound 3, compound 4 shows lower density and lower decomposition peak temperature but lower sensitivity and a higher formation enthalpy than compound 3. The complex 4 possesses an outstanding catalytic effect for the decomposition of AP than that of complex 3. The results illustrate the possibility of introducing various anions into energetic coordination compounds for the regulation of energetic materials.

Abstract
Nitrogen-containing heterocycles constitute an important division of organic chemistry. The structural and functional diversity in nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds emanates from the presence and nature of the heteroatom that optimizes the compound for a specific application. Nitrogen heterocycles have been found to mimic various endogenous metabolites and natural products, highlighting their pivotal role in current drug design. Their applications are manifold and are predominantly used as pharmaceuticals, corrosion inhibitors, polymers, agrochemicals, dyes, developers, etc. Additionally, their catalytic behavior has rendered these compounds notable precursors in synthesizing various important organic compounds. The rate at which nitrogen heterocycles are synthesized explains this organic chemistry domain's vitality and usefulness. The present review article focuses on nitrogen-containing heterocycles as a versatile scaffold for current applications of organic chemistry.

Abstract
Novel polynitro azoxypyrazole-based energetic compounds 1,2-bis (4-nitro-1H-pyrazol-5-yl) diazene 1-oxide (3) and 1,2-bis (1,4-dinitro-1H-pyrazol-3-yl) diazene 1-oxide (4) were synthesized from 5-amino-pyrazole-4-carbonitrile by optimized reactions. Their structures were characterized by elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Compound 3 exhibits high thermal stability (239 °C), low mechanical sensitivity (IS = 22 J, FS = 240 N) and moderate detonation performance (Dv = 8272 m s-1, P = 28.1 GPa). Compound 4 shows moderate thermal stability (161 °C), decent mechanical sensitivity and higher detonation performance (Dv = 9228 m s-1, P = 38.7 GPa) compared to that of RDX. These newly developed strategies for constructing novel energetic compounds enrich the content of the ever-expanding energetic materials.

Abstract
The nitrogen-rich compounds and intermediates with structure of monocyclic, bicyclic, and fused rings based on 1,2,3-triazole were synthesized and prepared by using a promising precursor named 4,5-dicyano-1,2,3-triazole, which was obtained by the cyclization reaction of diaminomaleonitrile. Their structure and configurational integrity were assessed by Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), mass spectrometry (MS), and elemental analysis (EA). Additionally, fourteen compounds were further confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Meanwhile, the physical properties of four selected compounds (3·H2O, 6·H2O, 10·H2O, and 16) including thermal stability, detonation parameters, and sensitivity were also estimated. All these compounds could be considered to construct more abundant 1,2,3-triazole-based neutral energetic molecules, salts, and complex compounds, which need to continue study in the future in the field of energetic materials.

Abstract
The development of green energetic materials is based on environmental friendliness, safety and performance improvement. It is of great significance to design and synthesize new nitrogen rich salts for a new generation of green energetic materials. In the present work, a series of 3-amino-5-hydrazinopyrazole energetic salts comprising energetic anions were synthesized and were characterized using elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Compounds 1-5 were further confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction and the sensitivities were measured by the standard BAM methods. Additionally, the structure-property relationship was elucidated from the experimental results and theoretical calculations. Energetic salts of 2 and 5 exhibited high heat of formation (5, 1160.06 kJ mol-1), high decomposition temperature (2, 172 °C; 5, 186 °C), excellent detonation performance (2, Dv, 9076 m s-1, P 34.1 GPa; 5, Dv, 8974 m s-1, P 31.9 GPa), moderate sensitivity towards outer stimuli and high nitrogen contents (2, 41.03%; 5, 63.84%). This work increases future prospects for the design of insensitive and novel high-energy green energetic material.

Abstract
A novel oxygen-containing dimethoxycarbonyl diaminobistetrazole (1) was synthesized via a facile strategy. The sodium salt (2) based on this ligand was prepared and these two compounds were fully characterized by using elemental analysis, IR and mass spectrometry and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Their density, heats of formation, thermal stability and sensitivity, as well as the energetic properties from EXPLO5 code were investigated. These newly synthesized compounds possess high positive heats of formation and detonation heats. Compound 1 exhibits good detonation performance and acceptable stability, and might be a potential eco-friendly alternative of lead azide. The present study contributes to the development of tetrazole derivatives as new energetic materials.
