Abstract
Pearly penile papules (PPPs) are benign, dome-shaped lesions found around the corona of the penis. Despite being asymptomatic and benign in nature, the appearance of PPPs may cause a great deal of psychological distress to both the patient and their sexual partner. While patient reassurance may be the first-line treatment, several other treatment modalities including cryotherapy, electrodessication and curettage, and laser therapy have all been used to treat PPPs in order to achieve a cosmetic outcome that satisfies the patient. Based on the evaluation of the existing literature, ablative laser therapies offer satisfactory cosmetic outcomes with good long-term results.

Abstract
Pearly penile papules (PPP) are physiological lesions in the epithelium of the corona of the glans penis which extend to its neck. These lesions may also appear on both sides of the frenulum. Although they are not pathological, the lesions frequently cause concern or embarrassment/discomfort in patients. They are the most common reason for seeing a dermatologist. There are several methods of treatment for PPP such as cryosurgery, electrocoagulation, treatment with CO2, Er:YAG, or pulsed dye lasers. This paper describes the authors' experience in removing PPP with a CO2 laser.

Abstract
Pearly penile papules (PPP) are common, benign lesions that appear on the corona of the glans penis during adolescence or early adulthood. Despite their benign nature, PPP are known to cause significant distress because of their resemblance to sexually transmitted infections such as condyloma acuminata. PPP can be clinically distinguished based on their uniform, dome-shaped papules that orient in one to two rows around the glans penis. There is no association between PPP and sexually transmitted infections, and treatment is generally reserved for patients with excessive concern. Physicians should be aware of this distinction in order to adequately reassure anxious patients. For patients who still desire treatment after counseling, cryotherapy and laser therapy represent two reliable treatment options with low rates of recurrence.

Abstract
Pearly penile papules (PPP) present as dome-shaped papules of no more than 3 mm in diameter that line the base of the glans of the penis. These benign lesions affect between 14.3 and 48 % of men. While often asymptomatic, PPP can cause a great deal of psychological distress that may warrant treatment. Current treatment options include cryotherapy, electrodessication, and curettage (ED&C). However, these modalities may have considerable adverse cosmetic effects, including scarring, pain, and pigmentary changes. Laser modalities offer clear potential for improved cosmetic outcome in PPP treatment, but is not routinely used. Thus, a systematic review of available literature using the National Library of Medicine database PubMed was completed to find articles relevant to the treatment of PPP with laser and light therapy. The systematic search and screening of articles resulted in inclusion of eight articles discussing a total of 55 patients with PPP treated by laser therapy. The present systematic review found that erbium:yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Er:YAG) and CO2 laser were the most commonly reported (n = 45 and 7, respectively). Furthermore, the use of CO2, Er:YAG, pulsed dye laser, and fractional photothermolysis therapies demonstrated complete clearance of PPP in all cases with minimal complications and discomfort. Thus, based on the currently available evidence, laser therapy is a well-tolerated and efficacious method for treating PPP with minimal long-term adverse effects and a cosmetically desirable outcome. Although the included studies are limited in power, this systematic review offers clinically relevant insight into the potential for laser therapy.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Penile pearly papules (PPP) are benign angiofibromas of the penis, frequently misdiagnosed as genital warts (condylomata acuminata). The lesions are often the reason for significant distress of the patient and his sexual partner, thus requiring occasional treatment, removing the lesions in a non-aggressive manner. METHODS Forty-five patients with PPP were treated with 2940 nm Er:YAG laser (Skinlight, FOTONA, Slovenia) in ablation mode. The treatment parameters were: energy 400-500 mJ, spot diameter 1.5-3 mm, repetition rate 8-10 Hz and energy density 5.8-28.9 J/cm(2). RESULTS PPP were successfully removed in all 45 patients in 1-6 (mean ± SD = 2.0 ± 1.3) sessions without complications. CONCLUSION Er:YAG laser ablation represents an efficient method of removal of PPP. The procedure can be performed in outpatient clinics.

Abstract
Balanitis refers to a variety of unrelated conditions. It results from infective, irritative, allergic, traumatic, or inflammatory causes; pre-malignant lesions have been also identified. All these causes are successively reviewed regarding their positive diagnosis and their treatment. Normal aspects of the balanopreputial area will be explained because they may cause some anxiety in certain patients. The difference between the circumcised and uncircumcised penile skin that cause differences in the incidence and appearance of dermatoses of the glans and corona will be studied. Pre-malignant lesions of the balanopreputial area, although not frequent, represent a difficult diagnosis and therapeutic challenge. The major problem is the earliness of the diagnosis that may avoid the occurrence of squamous cell carcinoma. Moreover, lichen sclerosus may develop into squamous cell carcinoma and therefore a lifelong follow-up must be implemented. Thus, any fixed, chronic or suspicious Lesion must be rapidly assessed by a biopsy.
