Abstract
AIMS In China, more than 30% of patients have not initiated treatment within 30 days of HIV diagnosis. Delayed initiation has a detrimental influence on disease outcomes and increases HIV transmission. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a nurse-led antiretroviral therapy initiation nudging intervention for people newly diagnosed with HIV in China to find the optimal intervention implementation strategy. METHODS A Hybrid Type II sequential multiple assignment randomized trial will be conducted at four Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Hunan, China. This study will recruit 447 people newly diagnosed with HIV aged ≥18 years and randomly assign them into two intervention groups and one control group. On top of the regular counselling services and referrals, intervention groups will receive a 4-week, 2-phase intervention based on the dual-system theory and the nudge theory. The control group will follow the currently recommended referral procedures. The primary outcomes are whether treatment is initiated, as well as the length of time it takes. The study outcomes will be measured at the baseline, day 15, day 30, week 12, week 24 and week 48. Generalized estimating equations and survival analysis will be used to compare effectiveness and explore factors associated with antiretroviral therapy initiation. Both qualitative and quantitative information will be collected to assess implementation outcomes. DISCUSSION Existing strategies mostly target institutional-level factors, with little consideration given to patients' decision-making. To close this gap, we aim to develop an effective theory-driven nudging strategy to improve early ART initiation. IMPACT This nurse-led study will help to prevent delayed initiation by employing implementation science strategies for people newly diagnosed with HIV. This study contributes to the United Nations' objective of ending the AIDS pandemic by 2030. TRIAL REGISTRATION Chinese Clinical Trial Registry ChiCTR2300070140. The trial was prospectively registered before the first participant was recruited. PATIENT AND PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT The nudging intervention was finalized through the Nominal Group Technique where we invited five experts in the related field and five people living with HIV to participate.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Health professionals in home care work in interprofessional teams. Yet most training in decision support assumes a one-on-one relationship with patients. We assessed the impact of an in-person training session in interprofessional shared decision-making (IP-SDM) on home care professionals' intention to adopt this approach. METHODS We conducted a secondary analysis of a cluster stepped-wedge trial using a before-and-after study design. We collected data among home care professionals from November 2016 to February 2018 in 9 health and social services centers in Quebec, Canada. The intervention was an in-person IP-SDM training session. Intention to engage in IP-SDM pre- and post-session (dependent variable) was compared using a continuing professional development evaluation scale (CPD-Reaction) informed by the Godin's Integrated Behavioral Model for health professionals. We also assessed socio-demographic and psychosocial variables (beliefs about capabilities, beliefs about consequences, social influence and moral norm). We performed bivariate and multivariate analysis to identify factors influencing post-intervention intention. We used the STROBE reporting guidelines for observational studies to report our results. RESULTS Of 134 respondents who provided complete pairs of questionnaires (pre- and post-), most were female (90.9%), mean age was 42 (± 9.3) years and 66.9% were social workers. Mean intention scores decreased from 5.84 (± 1.19) to 5.54 (± 1.35) (Mean difference = -0.30 ± 1.16; p = 0.02). Factors associated with higher intention post-intervention were social influence (ß = 0.34, p = 0.01) and belief about capabilities (ß = 0.49, p < 0.01). CONCLUSION After in-person IP-SDM training, healthcare professionals' intention to engage in IP-SDM decreased. However, the scope of this decrease is probably not clinically significant. Due to their association with intention, beliefs about capabilities, which translate into having a sense of self-competency in the new clinical behavior, and social influences, which translate into what important others think one should be doing, could be targets for future research aiming to implement IP-SDM in home care settings.

Abstract
Introduction Delayed antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation is associated with poor HIV outcomes and a higher likelihood of HIV transmission. Methods This cross-sectional study assessed the proportion of delayed ART initiation which was defined as initiating ART after 30 days of HIV diagnosis, and evaluated the pathways influencing ART initiation among adult PLWH in Changsha, China who were diagnosed between 2014 and 2022. Results Of 518 participants, 37.8% delayed in initiating ART. Based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA), delayed initiation was indirectly associated with perceptions toward ART through the mediating pathway of patients' treatment willingness, with treatment willingness significantly being the full mediator. Discussion The findings may guide the development of interventions to improve timely uptake of ART in people who are newly diagnosed with HIV.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of perceived risk and social norms on COVID-19 and on the intention to be vaccinated if a vaccine were available to prevent infection. METHODS A quantitative, explanatory and cross-sectional research was developed. The data was collected through a structured questionnaire applied electronically to inhabitants over 18 years of age in the state of Puebla in Mexico. An analysis with structural equations was used to identify the effects among the constructs studied. RESULTS The results showed that both the perceived severity and susceptibility of contracting COVID-19 had a positive effect on the perceived social norms about the virus. Also, while the perceived severity had a positive effect on the intention to vaccinate, the perceived susceptibility was not significant on the intention to vaccinate against COVID-19. CONCLUSION Intention to be vaccinated against COVID-19 is affected by the severity and perceived social norms of contracting the infection. However, the perceived susceptibility to the virus does not have an effect on the intention to be vaccinated.

Abstract
"Hooking up" refers to the act of experiencing sexual intimacy with strangers without committing to a romantic relationship. Social media provide more convenient conditions for hooking up; however, it also poses a greater risk for HIV infection. Therefore, it is necessary to study the factors influencing the HIV-preventive intentions of those who engage in online dating to devise effective strategies for preventing the spread of HIV. This study consisted of a questionnaire that was distributed to 520 users of the Hello Group application. The survey results revealed that structural equation modeling is a useful framework for understanding the risk of HIV transmission in casual hookup encounters. In addition, combining the health belief model with the theory of planned behavior can provide recommendations for enhancing HIV-preventive intentions among users of dating applications. The results showed that mindfulness, the Chinese cultural context, perceived benefits, and self-efficacy were the main predictors of users' HIV-preventive intentions when using online dating applications. Among the perceived HIV risks, only perceived barriers had a negative effect on users' HIV-preventive intentions. In addition, attitude, subjective norms, and behavior control served as mediating variables between independent variables and HIV-preventive intentions; however, the mediating effect of attitude on perceived benefits and intentions was not significant. According to our study, some users misunderstand the risks and make incorrect assessments of the cultural risks of hooking up. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the research on the psychological tendencies of users and risk intervention when studying the concept of hooking up.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Antiretroviral therapy (ART) is one of the most effective ways for HIV-infected to treat AIDS. However, it is difficult to start ART among young people those newly diagnosed HIV-infection in China, and their adherence to ART is poor. We have designed an AIDS educational game called AIDS Fighter · Health Defense, which could improve the AIDS-related knowledge and has the potential to improve AIDS prevention ability of young students. In this study, AIDS Fighter · Health Defense will be used with newly diagnosed young people with HIV to evaluate the education effect of the game in improving ART adherence. DESIGN A stepped-wedge design randomized controlled trial will be conducted to confirm the education effect of AIDS Fighter · Health Defense on improving ART adherence of newly diagnosed young people with HIV, and to verify when to start game-based health education could be more effective for newly diagnosed young people with HIV. METHODS Participants will receive AIDS education from health workers and start ART when diagnosed with HIV and assigned into four groups randomly. The first step group to the fourth step group will receive AIDS Fighter · Health Defense in turn at the star of ART, one week, one month and three months after the start of ART. The primary outcomes are medication adherence, CD4( +) T cell count, and HIV viral load. The secondary outcomes are ART-related knowledge, ART-related skills, psychological resilience, and self-discrimination. Assessments will be completed before the intervention and one week, first month, and third month of the intervention, and then a one-year follow-up evaluation will be conducted after the intervention. DISCUSSION AIDS Fighter · Health Defense may be an effective approach to help newly diagnosed young people with HIV to improve ART adherence. A stepped-wedge design randomized controlled trial of this study may find the optimal time of AIDS education to improve ART adherence of newly diagnosed young people with HIV.
