Abstract
microRNAs are key regulators of cell proliferation, apoptosis, and anti-cancer immune response. This study intends to evaluate miR-127-3p’s role in breast cancer cells (BC). After transfection, miR-156 and BZRAP1 expression was assessed by qRT-PCR and Western blotting along with
analysis of cell proliferation and apoptosis by MTT and flow cytometry. Finally, an in vivo tumor model was established to verify miR-127-3p’s in vivo effect. Transfection of si-BZRAP1/miR-127-3p into MCF-7 cells reduced BZRAP1 expression, inhibited cell proliferation and
promoted apoptosis. miR-127-3p is confirmed to target BZRAP1 and exerts tumor suppressor activity by inhibiting BZRAP1. miR-127-3p inhibited BC cell growth and promote apoptosis by targeting BZRAP1, indicating that it is expected to be a target for the treatment of BC. The significance of
this study is to confirm that miR-127-3p may participate in tumor progression via BZRAP1, and may become a potential target for treating tumor. Further analysis of the pathogenesis of breast cancer and detection of miR-127-3p/BZRAP1 in BC has important application value in the treatment.

Abstract
Abstract
Background
Numerous studies indicated that there exists a relationship between methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) C667T polymorphism and diabetic nephropathy (DN) susceptibility; nonetheless, available proof reported from individual studies has not been consistent, so we performed an updated meta-analysis to evaluate the relationship between MTHFR C667T variant and DN.
Materials and methods
Relevant studies published before February 2022 were searched from the electronic databases PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Chinese Biology Medicine and the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure. The strength of the association was examined by odds ratio (OR) with 95% confidence interval (CI).
Results
The findings illustrated that there was a significant relationship between the polymorphism of C677T and DN compared with that to DM controls in allele (OR = 1.59, 95% CI = 1.39–1.82), dominant (OR = 1.76, 95% CI = 1.47–2.11) and recessive (OR = 1.85, 95% CI = 1.56–2.20) models in all populations. Moreover, as compared with the healthy controls, a significant relationship between C677T and DN was found in three genetic comparison models (allele: OR = 1.81, 95% CI = 1.43–2.29; dominant: OR = 2.09, 95% CI = 1.54–2.85; recessive: OR = 2.02, 95% CI = 1.51–2.70). Furthermore, stratifying data by race, diabetes duration and whether in Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium revealed substantially augmented vulnerability to DN in all subgroups.
Conclusion
The current meta-analysis highlighted conclusive results for the robust association between C677T polymorphisms and DN susceptibility.

Abstract
This study was conducted to estimate the precise association of fetal MTHFR 677 C > T polymorphism with risk of nonsyndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate (NSCL ± P) using a large-scale meta-analysis. Methods: A comprehensive literature search was performed using studies published on PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus and CNKI databases up to November 1, 2019. Results: A total of 38 studies with 6,525 children with NSCL ± P and 8,606 controls were selected. Overall, there was a significant association between MTHFR 677 C > T polymorphism and NSCL ± P risk. Subgroup analysis by ethnicity revealed that MTHFR 677 C > T polymorphism contributed to development of NSCL ± P in Caucasian and Mixed populations, but not in Asians. When stratified by country of origin, we found a significant association in Brazilian, Turkish and Indian populations, but not in Chinese and US-American. Conclusions: This meta-analysis provides strong evidence that fetal MTHFR 677 C > T polymorphism is significantly associated with NSCL ± P risk.
