Abstract
This case report details a rare instance of primary squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) of the breast in an octogenarian, emphasizing the unique diagnostic and treatment challenges posed by this malignancy in an elderly patient and adding to the scientific literature on PSCC managed with breast conservation therapy (BCT). An 80-year-old woman with medical comorbidities presented with a focal asymmetry in the right breast's retroareolar plane, detected during routine screening mammography. Diagnostic evaluations raised high suspicion for malignancy, confirmed as PSCC by ultrasound-guided biopsy. Histopathological analysis showed atypical keratinizing squamous epithelial nests and cysts. The patient underwent lumpectomy and re-excision of close surgical margins with a sentinel lymph node biopsy, which showed well-differentiated invasive squamous cell carcinoma with no residual carcinoma or nodal involvement. She was treated with adjuvant hypofractionated radiation therapy, experiencing minimal side effects. This case highlights the importance of considering individualized, nuanced approaches to adjuvant therapies in the treatment of PSCC in older patients. It demonstrates that BCT, coupled with carefully selected adjuvant therapy, can be a successful treatment strategy for PSCC in the elderly, contributing valuable insights into the management of this rare condition.

Abstract
Primary squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) of the breast, as a rare metaplastic breast cancer, currently has limited clinical data on its biological behavior, treatment and prognosis. At present, the optimal treatment of this tumor is still controversial. We reported a case of a 56-year-old woman with a mass on the right breast. She underwent a modified radical mastectomy and lymph node biopsy, which revealed that the tumor was a metaplastic squamous cell carcinoma with axillary lymph node metastasis, followed by traditional adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The patient re-examined by PET/CT after two years in May 2017 and found a recurrence in the right chest wall, so resection of the recurring lesion was resected, then she was given postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy. In August 2019, the patient re-examined by PET/CT, and there were pulmonary and mediastinal lymph node metastases. After 4 cycles of albumin paclitaxel plus cisplatin chemotherapy combined with nivolumab immunotherapy, the patient achieved complete response (CR), and then switched to nivolumab immune maintenance therapy. So far, no obvious metastasis has been seen. We believe that surgical treatment is necessary for PSCC of the breast;paclitaxel and cisplatin chemotherapy regimens and adjuvant radiotherapy are effective, but it may be resistant to radiotherapy; and immunotherapy may prolong the survival of patients with PSCC of the breast.

Abstract
Squamous cell carcinoma of the breast is a rare metaplastic breast tumor whose histogenesis is controversial. Its prevalence is estimated between 0.06 % and 0.2 % of all breast neoplasms. The histogenesis remains obscure. The clinical aspects are not specific. Squamous cell carcinoma is characterized by a rapid evolution and by an uncodified treatment. The objective of our work, by reporting a new case of primary squamous cell carcinoma of the breast, is to specify through a literature review some characteristics of this particular form of breast cancer. Squamous cell carcinoma of the breast is a rare tumor belonging to the heterogeneous group of metaplastic carcinomas. The clinical and radiological presentations are not specific. The prognosis.

Abstract
AbstractPure primary squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the breast is a rare malignancy which constitutes < 0.1% of all primary invasive breast carcinomas. It is considered to be more aggressive compared with other infiltrating ductal cancers, and knowledge concerning treatment patterns and outcomes is limited. We treated a 50-year-old woman with SCC of left breast, having metastatic fixed axillary lymph nodes. The tumor was hormone receptor negative. Paclitaxel and carboplatin-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy was given with a good response, followed by modified radical mastectomy. Adjuvant radiotherapy was given to the chest and axilla in view of two lymph nodes positive for tumor out of 12. No local and systemic recurrence encountered in 1 year of follow-up. Surgery along with platinum and taxane-based chemotherapy and radiotherapy is an effective mode of treatment for SCC in other parts of the body. More data is necessary to formulate management guidelines, and further define if there is any role for systemic chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or hormonal blockade.

Abstract
PURPOSE The aim of the study was to investigate the management and prognosis of Pure primary squamous cell carcinoma (PPSCC) of the breast. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study is a multicentre retrospective cohort from three French tertiary referral hospitals (Rennes, Orléans and Tours) including all women treated for a PPSCC of the breast defined by squamous cells that could contain a minority of sarcomatoid component. We excluded carcinomas with a ductual component. Clinicopathologic, radiological and therapeutic patterns were described. Demographic, histological and therapeutic characteristics were compared to a population of women with triple negative invasive breast carcinomas. RESULTS Twelve patients were included, with a mean age of 71.6 years. All lesions were unifocal, with a cystic complex ultrasound mass in 50% of cases. Mean tumor size was 43mm, with axillary lymph node metastasis in 25% of patients. The comparison with a population of women with triple negative breast carcinomas revealed that women with PPSCC were older (71 versus 57 years, p=0.003), tumor size was larger (43mm versus 25mm, p=0.032) and local recurrence occurred earlier (three months versus 38 months, p=0.014). CONCLUSION PPSCC is a rare entity with a worse prognosis in comparison with triple negative invasive carcinoma.

Abstract
Squamous cell carcinoma of the breast is a rare tumour of metaplasic origin; etiopathogeny is controversial; diagnosis is based on histological examination after eliminating the primary tumor; clinical and radiological examination is not specific; treatment is the same as for invasive ductal carcinoma; prognisis is poor due to tumor size and lymph node involvement. We report a case of breast squamous cell carcinoma in a 39 years old patient who was examined in the obstetrics and gynecology department of the military hospital in Rabat. Patient observation allowed us to specify the clinical characteristics of this entity which remains rare.

Abstract
From the analysis of our series and a review of the literature, we have done a summary of the clinicopathologic patterns and treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of the breast. It usually presents as a large palpable mass in a woman over 50 years old. There are no specific iconographic features, but a relative frequency of presentation as abscess or cyst. The overall and disease-free survivals are worse than other histological types of breast cancer. These neoplasms have a basal-like and triple negative profile and they respond poorly to standard treatment of breast carcinomas. They are usually treated by radical surgery. Optimal chemotherapy regimens is not yet determined and platin based chemotherapy could offer an effective alternative as the developpement of specific targeted therapies (anti Her1) could do.

Abstract
Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the breast (SCCB) is a very rare malignancy of the breast and is generally aggressive. It is even rarer during the gestational period. Only few cases have been reported during pregnancy and lactation (Rokutanda et al., 2000). SCCB seen within the gestational period tends to be very aggressive and has a larger size than other breast carcinomas. Pure SCCB is derived from the epidermis of the breast, nipple, or metaplasia on chronic inflammatory background (Bige et al., 2007), such as complicated breast cyst, dermoid cyst, or abscess. We report a case of SCCB in a 30-year-old primigravida that had an aggressive propensity and fatal outcome.

Abstract
Primary intracystic squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the breast is an extremely rare entity and has a low incidence in comparison with other breast cancers. We report a rare case of primary intracystic SCC in a 45-year-old woman who presented with a cystic lump in the right breast. Cytological smears of the fluid aspirated from the breast tumor revealed malignant squamous cells dispersed in single and occasional groups along with numerous cyst macrophages, suggesting cystic SCC. Histological study of the mastectomy specimen confirmed the diagnosis of primary intracystic SCC. Although the presence of abundant foamy macrophages in the background of fine needle aspiration cytology smears of the breast suggest benign breast lesion, when associated with malignant squamous cells, these suggest cystic primary SCC or metastatic SCC. The primary SCC should not be confused with metaplastic change in other breast carcinomas.

Abstract
This article reviews cytomorphology of rare malignant tumors of the breast: squamous carcinoma, metaplastic carcinoma, adenoid cystic carcinoma, apocrine carcinoma, secretory carcinoma, lipid-rich carcinoma, and carcinoma with choriocarcinomatous features. It is important to bear in mind the cytomorphology and diagnosis of rare malignant tumors of the breast in analysis of breast fine needle aspiration smears. Although rare, these malignant tumors can be diagnosed by the cytomorphological characteristics, and should be included in the differential diagnoses of breast neoplasms.
