Abstract
An accurate and coherent bacterial taxonomy is essential for studying the ecological aspects of microorganisms and for understanding microbial communities and their dynamics. The order Pseudomonadales is of particular importance in biological research due to its ability to interact with eukaryotic hosts, including taxa of clinical relevance (e.g.: Pseudomonas, Moraxella, Acinetobacter), or due to its functions in soil and water ecosystems. Despite their relevance, we have identified several inconsistencies in the organisation of genera within families in this order. Here, we perform comprehensive phylogenetic and phylogenomic analyses to reorganise these taxa. Average amino acid identity (AAI) values shared within and between families support our reclassifications. We propose seven new families, including new ecologically relevant families (e.g.: Oceanobacteraceae fam. nov.), as well as several taxonomic emendations. Our results also support the inclusion of Cellvibrionales and Oceanospirillales within Pseudomonadales. This revised organisation provides a robust delineation of these taxa into families, characterised by AAI values ranging from 60% to 77%. AAI distances between families are predominantly below 60%. This reclassification contributes to establishment of a more reliable taxonomic framework within Gammaproteobacteria, providing the basis for a more comprehensive understanding of their evolution.

Abstract
Increased interest in farmed aquatic species, aquatic conservation measures, and microbial metabolic end-product utilization have translated into a need for awareness and recognition of novel microbial species and revisions to bacterial taxonomy. Because this need has largely been unmet, through a 4-year literature review, we present lists of novel and revised bacterial species (including members of the phylum Planctomycetota) derived from aquatic hosts that can serve as a baseline for future biennial summaries of taxonomic revisions in this field. Most new and revised taxa were noted within oxidase-positive and/or nonglucose fermentative Gram-negative bacilli, including members of the Tenacibaculum, Flavobacterium, and Vibrio genera. Valid and effectively published novel members of the Streptococcus, Erysipelothrix, and Photobacterium genera are additionally described from disease pathogenesis perspectives.

Abstract
The members of the genus Alcanivorax are key players in the removal of petroleum hydrocarbons from polluted marine environments. More than half of the species were described in the last decade using 16S rRNA gene phylogeny and genomic-based metrics. However, the 16S rRNA gene identity (<94 %) between some members of the genus Alcanivorax suggested their imprecise taxonomic status. In this study, we examined the taxonomic positions of Alcanivorax species using 16S rRNA phylogeny and further validated them using phylogenomic-related indexes such as digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH), average nucleotide identity (ANI), average amino acid identity (AAI), percentage of conserved proteins (POCP) and comparative genomic studies. ANI and dDDH values confirmed that all the Alcanivorax species were well described at the species level. The phylotaxogenomic analysis showed that Alcanivorax species formed three clades. The inter-clade values of AAI and POCP were less than 70 %. The pan-genome evaluation depicted that the members shared 1223 core genes and its number increased drastically when analysed clade-wise. Therefore, these results necessitate the transfer of clade II and clade III members into Isoalcanivorax gen. nov. and Alloalcanivorax gen. nov., respectively, along with the emended description of the genus Alcanivorax sensu stricto.
