Abstract
AbstractThe confrontation between the superconducting fluctuations and percolation effects as the origin of the in-plane paraconductivity in cuprate superconductors was earlier addressed at a quantitative level in the case of the optimally doped YBa2Cu3O7−δ (YBCO) compound. Using in-plane resistivity data from a high-quality YBCO thin film, we will extend these analyses to high reduced temperatures, in the case of the Gaussian-Ginzburg–Landau (GGL) approach for the conventional superconducting fluctuations, by considering the total energy cutoff. These data will also be analysed in terms of the mean field-approach of the effective-medium theory, to probe if emergent percolative effects may account for the resistivity rounding above $$T_{c}$$
T
c
. Our analyses confirm earlier conclusions: the measured paraconductivity cannot be explained in terms of emergent percolation processes, but it may be accounted for in terms of the GGL approach. These results also call into question alternative scenarios, including a recent proposal derived from emergent percolative effects.

Microstructure and Fluctuation-Induced Conductivity Analysis of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi-2212) Nanowire Fabrics. CRYSTALS 2020. Abstract
Resistance measurements were performed on Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi-2212) fabric-like nanowire networks or nanofiber mats in the temperature interval 3 K ≤T≤ 300 K. The nanowire fabrics were prepared by means of electrospinning, and consist of long (up to 100 μm) individual nanowires with a mean diameter of 250 nm. The microstructure of the nanowire network fiber mats and of the individual nanowires was thoroughly characterized by electron microscopy showing that the nanowires can be as thin as a single Bi-2212 grain. The polycrystalline nanowires are found to have a texture in the direction of the original polymer nanowire. The overall structure of the nanofiber mats is characterized by numerous interconnects among the nanowires, which enable current flow across the whole sample. The fluctuation-induced conductivity (excess conductivity) above the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, was analyzed using the Aslamzov-Larkin model. Four distinct fluctuation regimes (short-wave, two-dimensional, three-dimensional and critical fluctuation regimes) could be identified in the Bi-2212 nanowire fabric samples. These regimes in such nanowire network samples are discussed in detail for the first time. Based on this analysis, we determine several superconducting parameters from the resistance data.

Abstract
The effect of hydrostatic pressure up to P = 1.7 GPa on the fluctuation conductivity σ'(T) and pseudogap ∆*(T) in Y0.95Pr0.05Ba2Cu3O7-δ single crystal with critical temperature Тс = 85.2 K (at P = 0) was investigated. The application of pressure leads to the increase in Tc with dTc/dP = +1.82 K∙GPa-1 while the resistance decreases as dlnρ(100 K)/dP = -(10.5 ± 0.2) %∙GPa-1. Regardless of the pressure, in the temperature interval from Tc to T0 (~88 K at P = 0) the behaviour of σ'(T) is well described by the Aslamazov - Larkin (AL - 3D) fluctuation theory, and above the T0 by the Lawrence - Doniach theory (LD). The Maki-Thompson (MT - 2D) fluctuation contribution is not observed. This indicates the presence of structural defects in the sample induced by Pr. Here it is determined for the first time that when the pressure is applied to the Y1-xPrxBa2Cu3O7-δ single crystal, the pseudogap increases as dlnΔ*/dP = 0.17 GPa-1.

Abstract
The effect of annealing both in the oxygen atmosphere and at room temperatures on physical properties such as the pseudogap (Δ*(T)) and excess conductivity (σ'(T)) of untwined YBa2Cu3O7-δ (YBCO) single crystal with a small deviation from oxygen stoichiometry is studied. It was revealed that as the charge carrier density, nf, increases, Тс also slightly increases, whereas the temperature of the pseudogap opening, T*, decreases noticeably, which is consistent with the phase diagram (PD) of cuprates. The excess conductivity in the vicinity of Tc is represented by the Aslamazov-Larkin and Hikami-Larkin fluctuation theories, illustrating the three-dimensional to two-dimensional (i.e. 3D-2D) crossover with an increase in temperature. The crossover temperature T0 determines the coherence length along the c axis is ξc(0) = 0.86 Å, that is 2.6 times larger than for optimally doped YBCO single crystals with defects. Taking into account the short coherence length in high-temperature superconductors, in the model of free charge carriers the phase relaxation time of fluctuating Cooper pairs is determined, τφ (100 K) = (4.55 ± 0.4) · 10-13 s, which is slightly (1.2 times) larger than in well-structured YBCO films, and as in films, does not depend on nf. It is shown that Δ*(T) at different annealing stages practically does not change its shape. As in the well-structured YBCO films, Δ*(T) demonstrates maximum at Tpair~124 K which depends weakly on nf. However, the maximum value of Δ*(Tpair) increases with increasing nf, as it follows from the PD of cuprates. Comparing the experimental data with the Peters-Bauer theory we estimated the density of local pairs ≈ 0.3 near Tc that is a common value for high-temperature superconductors.

Abstract
Superconductivity is a unique manifestation of quantum mechanics on a macroscopic scale, and one of the rare examples of many-body phenomena that can be explained by predictive, quantitative theories. The superconducting ground state is described as a condensate of Cooper pairs, and a major challenge has been to understand which mechanisms could lead to a bound state between two electrons, despite the large Coulomb repulsion. An even bigger challenge is to identify experimentally this pairing mechanism, notably in unconventional superconductors dominated by strong electronic correlations, like in high-Tc cuprates, iron pnictides or heavy-fermion compounds. Here we show that in the ferromagnetic superconductor UCoGe, the field dependence of the pairing strength influences dramatically its macroscopic properties like the superconducting upper critical field, in a way that can be quantitatively understood. This provides a simple demonstration of the dominant role of ferromagnetic spin fluctuations in the pairing mechanism.

Abstract
A two-channel scenario for the conductivity of underdoped YBa 2Cu 3O (7-delta) is proposed. One is the single-particle excitations channel, which dominates in the optimally doped material, whose resistivity is linear as a function of temperature. The other one gives a contribution which merges the 3D Aslamazov-Larkin fluctuation conductivity at low temperature and obeys a power law at high temperature, depending on two superconductive parameters (T(c) and the zero temperature coherence length xi(c0)) and an energy scale Delta(*). This allows one to address the nature of the pseudogap in favor of incoherent pairing.

Abstract
A variety of recent experiments on both the static and the dynamic properties of vortices and flux-line lattices in the mixed state of the copper oxide superconductors are discussed. The experiments are of two basic types: (i) experiments that image the magnetic flux patterns either with magnetic decoration or neutrons and give information about static structures, and (ii) experiments that explore the dynamics of vortices either through the resistivity or other electrodynamic responses of the material. Results of these experiments argue in favor of the existence of a true phase transition in the high-field vortex state from a low-temperature superconducting vortex glass phase into a disordered high-temperature vortex fluid phase. The vortex glass phase transition model does a good job of explaining high-precision measurements of the dynamics at the transition. At low fields and temperatures, very long range hexatic order in the flux-line lattice is observed.
