Abstract
Hysteresis of ferromagnetic system exhibits a fundamental stimulus-response behavior, thereby casting all the important macromagnetic system parameters such as coercivity, nucleation field, saturation magnetization, and hysteresis loss. Recently, increasing attention has been paid to exploration of relatively less understood minor loop behavior, since faster operation of magnetic devices is inevitably accompanied by minor hysteresis behavior from cycling among unsaturated ferromagnetic states. Here, we report our microscopic investigation of unusual minor hysteresis loop behavior, represented by rounded or sharpened response of minor hysteresis loop of (CoFeB/Pd)4 multilayer film. It is observed that rounded and sharpened response in the minor hysteresis response could be manifested under proper conditions. The minor loop behavior has been systematically investigated by direct microscopic magnetic domain observation using magneto-optical Kerr microscopy. The rounded response of magnetization at the reversing external field along the minor hysteresis curve, so far neglected or considered as one of ‘unusual’ behaviors, has been found to be elaborately controllable by tuning the reversing field strength and the field sweep rate for multilayers with low repeat numbers. Variable roundedness of the minor hysteresis loop is understandable based on the analysis of magnetic domain dynamics such as domain nucleation and the domain wall velocity.

Abstract
With Monte Carlo simulations, the nonsteady dynamic properties of a domain wall have been systematically investigated for the thermally activated creep state under an alternating driving field. Taking the driven random-field Ising model in two dimensions as an example, two distinct growth stages of the domain interface are identified with both the correlation length and roughness function. One stage belongs to the universality class of the random depositions, and the other to that of the quenched Edwards-Wilkinson equation. In the latter case, due to the dynamic effect of overhangs, the domain interface may exhibit an intrinsic anomalous scaling behavior, different from that of the quenched Edwards-Wilkinson equation.

Abstract
We study the scaling properties of magnetic minor hysteresis loops in a polycrystalline dysprosium metal, varying temperature and magnetic-field amplitudes. We observe irreversibility-related hysteresis loss in the helical antiferromagnetic phase, which is related with remanent flux density as a power law with the same scaling exponent of 1.25±0.05 as that in ferromagnetic materials. In contrast to hysteresis scalings in ferromagnets associated with 180° Bloch walls, the observed law is governed by spiral walls which separate helical domains with oppositely rotating spins.

Abstract
With the Monte Carlo methods, we systematically investigate the short-time dynamics of domain-wall motion in the two-dimensional random-field Ising model with a driving field (DRFIM). We accurately determine the depinning transition field and critical exponents. Through two different definitions of the domain interface, we examine the dynamics of overhangs and islands. At the depinning transition, the dynamic effect of overhangs and islands reaches maximum. We argue that this should be an important mechanism leading the DRFIM model to a different universality class from the Edwards-Wilkinson equation with quenched disorder.

Abstract
We present a numerical study of the zero-temperature response of the Gaussian random-field Ising model to a slowly varying external field, allowing the system to be trapped in microscopic configurations that are not fully metastable. This modification of the standard single-spin-flip dynamics results in an increase in dissipation (hysteresis) somewhat similar to that observed with a finite driving rate. We then study the distribution of avalanches along the hysteresis loop and perform a finite-size scaling analysis that shows good evidence that the critical exponents associated to the disorder-induced phase transition are not modified.

Abstract
With Monte Carlo simulations, we investigate the relaxation dynamics of domain walls at the Kosterlitz-Thouless phase transition, taking the two-dimensional XY model as an example. The dynamic scaling behavior is carefully analyzed, and a domain-wall roughening process is observed. Two-time correlation functions are calculated and aging phenomena are investigated. Inside the domain interface, a strong logarithmic correction to scaling is detected.
