3-(4-Chlorobenzoyl)-7-(N,N-dimethylamino)-1-phenylindolizine and 3-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-7-(N,N-dimethylamino)-1-phenylindolizine

Methyl 5-phenyl-1,2,3,4,4a,5,5a,13c-octahydro-6H-benzo[f]chromeno[3,4-b]indolizine-5a-carboxylate

In the title compound, C₂₇H₂₇NO₃, the pyrrolidine ring exhibits a twist conformation and the piperidine ring exhibits a chair conformation. The pyrrolidine ring makes dihedral angles of 54.47 (5), 51.50 (5) and 73.37 (6)° with the napthalene ring system and the tetra­hydro­pyran and phenyl rings, respectively. The structure is stabilized by intra­molecular C—H⋯O and C—H⋯N inter­actions.

(8aS)-7,8,8a,9-Tetra-hydro-thieno[3,2-f]indolizin-6(4H)-one

In the mol­ecular structure of the title compound, C₁₀H₁₁NOS, the central six-membered ring of the indolizine unit adopts an envelope conformation, the maximum deviations from the mean plane of the ring being 0.533 (2) Å. The fused thieno ring is nearly coplanar [mean deviation = 0.007 (2) Å]. The conformation of the fused oxopyrrolidine ring is close to that of a flat-envelope, with a maximum deviation of 0.339 (3) Å. The crystal structure is stabilized by C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

3-(2-Pyridyl)-N-p-tolylindolizin-1-amine

In the title compound, C₂₀H₁₇N₃, there are four mol­ecules in the asymmetric unit. The dihedral angles between the indolizine ring system and the pyridyl ring are 6.6 (2), 7.4 (1), 4.0 (1) and 10.1 (4) in the four molecules. There are no further important differences between the independent molecules. In each molecule, there is an intra­molecular C—H⋯N hydrogen bond. The whole structure is stabilized by N—H⋯π and C—H⋯π inter­actions.
