Abstract
OBJECTIVE (1) To identify instruments used to assess quality of life (QoL) in children and adolescents with neuromuscular diseases; (2) To identify the psychometric properties contained in these instruments. METHODS This is a scoping review in which the electronic databases Embase, Scielo, Scopus, Pubmed and Lilacs were used as well as grey literature. The following terms were used in the search for articles published in the last 10 years: children, adolescents, neuromuscular disease, and quality of life. RESULTS In total, 15 articles were included and evaluated, indicating 7 instruments used to assess QoL (PedsQL™ Inventory 3.0 Neuromuscular Module, the PedsQL™ 4.0, the PedsQL DMD Module, the PedsQL ™ MFS, the SOLE, the KIDSCREEN and the LSI-A). The number of items ranged from 17 to 45. In addition, 6 instruments showed psychometric properties, but only 2 showed good and high quality, either in internal reliability or reproducibility. CONCLUSION Our results were able to map the main QoL assessment instruments of children and adolescents with neuromuscular disease and the most cited instrument was the PedsQL™ Inventory 3.0 Neuromuscular Module. Larger studies that assess psychometric properties and that are validated for most diseases are needed.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The use of robotic technologies in pediatric rehabilitation has seen a large increase, but with a lack of a comprehensive framework about their effectiveness. OBJECTIVE An Italian Consensus Conference has been promoted to develop recommendations on these technologies: definitions and classification criteria of devices, indications and limits of their use in neurological diseases, theoretical models, ethical and legal implications. In this paper, we present the results for the pediatric age. METHODS A systematic search on Cochrane Library, PEDro and PubMed was performed. Papers published up to March 1st, 2020, in English, were included and analyzed using the methodology of the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine in Oxford, AMSTAR2 and PEDro scales for systematic reviews and RCT, respectively. RESULTS Some positives aspects emerged in the area of gait: an increased number of children reaching the stance, an improvement in walking distance, speed and endurance. Critical aspects include the heterogeneity of the studied cases, measurements and training protocols. CONCLUSION Many studies demonstrate the benefits of robotic training in developmental age. However, it is necessary to increase the number of trials to achieve greater homogeneity between protocols and to confirm the effectiveness of pediatric robotic rehabilitation.

Abstract
More than 50% of children who survive prematurity have an atypical course of development at school age, as environmental demands become more demanding. This study examines the effects of preterm birth on the cognitive, behavioral and socioemotional development of 185 children at ages five and seven years. Weaknesses were found in attention, working memory, processing speed and the ability to correctly interpret emotions at both ages five and seven. Significant correlations were found in regression and moderation models. These findings suggest that school-age children who were preterm infants are at increased risk of exhibiting impairments in several developmental domains that may affect their overall quality of life.

Abstract
We aimed to characterize the parent experience of caring for an infant with neonatal encephalopathy. In this mixed-methods study, we performed semistructured interviews with parents whose infants were enrolled in an existing longitudinal cohort study of therapeutic hypothermia between 2011 and 2014. Thematic saturation was achieved after 20 interviews. Parent experience of caring for a child with neonatal encephalopathy was characterized by 3 principal themes. Theme 1: Many families described cumulative loss and grief throughout the perinatal crisis, critical neonatal course, and subsequent missed developmental milestones. Theme 2: Families experienced entangled infant and broader family interests. Theme 3: Parents evolved into and found meaning in their role as an advocate. These data offer insight into the lived experience of parenting an infant with neonatal encephalopathy. Primary data from parents can serve as a useful framework to guide the development and interpretation of parent-centered outcomes.
