Abstract
PURPOSE The present study aims to assess the efficacy of stage-matched, self-managed Return to Work (RTW) interventions in enhancing RTW outcomes among colorectal cancer (CRC) survivors. METHODS This trial, conducted in South Korea, enrolled 58 unemployed survivors of colorectal cancer. Participants were randomly assigned to either an experimental or a control group. The experimental group received a self-managed return-to-work intervention based on the trans-theoretical model, while the control group received an educational booklet. Assessments were conducted at baseline and at 3, 6, and 12 months to measure changes in various factors including return-to-work status and HRQOL. RESULTS In the experimental group, 28 participants were randomly assigned, while 30 individuals were allocated to the control group. The experimental group exhibited a higher proportion of individuals achieving RTW (64.5% vs 39.3%, p = 0.013) and demonstrated greater improvements in work ability (p = 0.001), RTW self-efficacy (p = 0.035), readiness for RTW in the prepared-for-action (p < 00.0001), uncertain maintenance (p = 0.033), and proactive maintenance (p < 00.0001) stages, quality of working life (p = 0.003), HRQOL (p < 0.05), and illness perception (p < 0.05) compared to the control group at the 12-month follow-up. CONCLUSIONS Stage-matched self-managed RTW interventions incorporating TTM principles may effectively enhance RTW outcomes and work ability among CRC survivors.

Abstract
AIM To develop a Chinese version of the return-to-work self-efficacy (RTW-SE-11) and verify its reliability and validity. DESIGN A validation study. METHODS The RTW-SE-11 was translated into Chinese according to the Brislin's model, and then the semantic adjustment of questionnaire was carried out through multi-field expert evaluation and preliminary investigation. RESULTS All 11 items of the original questionnaire were retained. Content validity index (CVI) of the Chinese version of RTW-SE-11 indicated good validity, with Inter-rater Agreement (IR) of 0.97, item CVI of 0.90-1.00 and questionnaire CVI of 0.91. Cronbach's α coefficient of RTW-SE-11 (Chinese version) was 0.923, suggesting high internal consistency, with test-retest reliability of 0.799 and half-fold reliability of 0.926. Patient or public contribution: The Chinese version of the RTW-SE-11 questionnaire confirmed good reliability and validity for the assessment of return to work self-efficacy in Chinese breast cancer patients.

Abstract
Breast cancer is the leading cancer type among women globally. Since breast cancer has a high survival rate, most survivors are likely to return to work (RTW). In recent years, breast cancer cases have risen significantly in younger age groups. As self-efficacy is an important factor in the success of RTW, this study performed a translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the Chinese version of the Return-To-Work Self-Efficacy Scale (CRTWSE-19) and examined its psychometric properties in patients with breast cancer. This validation study followed standard guidelines, including forward translation, back translation, cross-cultural adaptation, and psychometric testing. The results of this study show that the CRTWSE-19 met reliability standards, including high internal reliability for the total scores and subscales. An exploratory factor analysis of 19 items extracted 3 factors showing consistency with the original version of the RTWSE-19. Criterion validity was demonstrated by comparing subdomains with the Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory. Furthermore, the known-group validity was studied by comparing mean scores among the unemployed group and the employed group. We conclude that the CRTWSE-19 has very good screening accuracy and is able to discriminate between working and unemployed populations. It can facilitate health care professionals in triaging, planning, and evaluating interventions in clinical practice.

Abstract
Promoting the return to work of breast cancer survivors is of major interest to patients, healthcare and occupational health professionals, companies, governments, and researchers worldwide. We previously conducted a French consensus study resulting in a model describing the multifactorial process of the return to work of breast cancer survivors (the REWORK-BC model). Other work has identified the transtheoretical model as a relevant theoretical framework for interventions to promote the return to work of cancer survivors. In this opinion paper, we provide a theoretically-based clinical framework describing how to support breast cancer survivors at each stage of the return-to-work process. This clinical framework considers several essential aspects of supportive care for breast cancer survivors returning to work, such as: (i) helping the patient actively self-manage, by considering her to be the main decision-maker; (ii) respecting and adapting to the patient’s choice of professional project; (iii) respecting the temporality of the patient’s choices; (iv) proposing tailored interventions; (v) implementing simple tools to promote the return to work, shared representation between the patient and a multidisciplinary team, and improvement of working conditions and the knowledge of health and occupational professionals, and managers or employers; and (vi) maintaining certain flexibility aimed at proposing, but never imposing, changes in practices. This clinical framework, specific to breast cancer survivors, could be extrapolated to other tumor types, offering a practical guide for healthcare and occupational health professionals to better understand the return-to-work process of cancer survivors. This clinical framework aims to be a usable tool for any hospital or cancer care center wishing to implement a patient-centered intervention that promotes returning to work, regardless of the country.

Abstract
Background Self-efficacy is a significant predictor of return to work and affects the confidence of survivors to return to work after illness. The Return-to-work self-efficacy (RTW-SE) questionnaire is a self-report questionnaire to assess confidence in returning to work with good reliability and validity. The aim of this study was to translate and cross-culturally adapt the RTW-SE questionnaire into Chinese and examine the psychometric properties among young and middle-aged stroke survivors using Rasch model analysis. Methods The cross-cultural adaptation and translation procedures followed a dual-translation approach. The psychometric properties of the RTW-SE questionnaire were examined using Rasch model analysis by Winsteps software. The unidimensionality and local independence were analyzed by principal component analysis of the residuals (PCAR) and standardized residual correlations.Category diagnostics were performed for scale function, and the item fit, reliability, and separation were also validated. Item-person maps were used to examine the distribution and matching of item’s location and person ability. Finally, the differential item functioning (DIF) was used to measure gender-related group equivalence. Results A total of 366 participants aged 23–59 years were recruited from three communities in Zhengzhou. The RTW-SE questionnaire demonstrated unidimensionality and a 5-point Likert rating scale was more appropriate to investigate young and middle-aged stroke survivors’self-efficacy. There was a good fit for the items with both person and item reliabilities greater than 0.8 and separation indices of 3.75 and 3.94, respectively. The item location was identified from the item-person map as not covering person ability, but the scale did not have an age-related DIF. Conclusions The results confirm evidence of appropriate psychometric properties of the RTW-SE questionnaire and can be used as a reliable and validated instrument for measuring self-efficacy to return to work in young and middle-aged Chinese patients with stroke.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION The self-efficacy to return to work is a major psychological factor of the return to work of patients diagnosed with a cancer. However, french investigations in this field do not take this dimension into account due to the lack of a suitable tool for its assessment. The objective of this study was to provide a french translation and adaptation of the "Return to Work Self-Efficacy' scale - 11 items" (RTWSE-11), validated in dutch language in its original version. METHODS After translation-back translation steps, completed by experts' consensus meetings, interviews were conducted with thirteen patients diagnosed with cancer in order to evaluate the degree of clarity, simplicity and ambiguity or the various elements of the french version of the RTW-SE-11. RESULTS The main modifications inherent to the french adaptation of the questionnaire concerned the modalities of the Likert scale and the inversion of three negative items into positive items. DISCUSSION The french translation and adaptation of the RTWSE-11 was particularly faithful to the semantic, idiomatic, functional, experiential, conceptual and operational aspects of the original version. Future work can therefore focus on the psychometrics evaluations of the questionnaire. However, this tool can already be used in clinical practice to establish an initial assessment of the ability of patients diagnosed with cancer to return to work.
